Actually, the rods and the pistons are cast parts, but you are right, the crankshaft is forged, i just want to let you know. Nice video btw it helped me to decide what to use to clean the pistons because i want to reuse them too.

Ball hones are Easy... But NOT good either. Chem strip is basically Laquer thinners.

@@carpaparazzihub2921 do the 91-96 non vvti engines have the GTE rods/piston? I've heard both yes and no

@@DrewIbarra714 non vvti ge engines have forged rods exact same part from turbo supra, pistons are almost the same as turbo supra because they are not dished for low compression but it's the same material and thickness and is made the same way=hypereutectic cast which has high % of silicon to slow down expansion/shrink thus reduces piston slap when cold.
