You should mention when sourcing the components that WS LEDs can come in 5v and 12v variety. If you wish to use same power for arduino and also the strip, make sure to acquire 5V strips and not 12V.

Yes, but I'm not sure it will get 100% brightness because it has very bright LEDs.
