I am from Houston and I remembered the day he was killed. That Saturday he had just sung for the group that I sing with for a gathering we had. One of our members was a member at his church. That Sunday he preached like it was his last sermon and the next day he was gone. After entering his home Paul was shot by robbers who where there to rob him. He definitely was a man who helped so many and surely he didn't deserve to be killed. Yes I too had heard the rumors that he was engaged in homosexual activities but those were not true he helped everyone regardless of who you were or what you did and if anything he was guilty by association. He would often visit my home church and he always called my mother his "Birthday Buddy" because they shared the same October 13th birthday. He was an awesome man of God and it broke my heart to hear that he was killed. I had just saw him that Saturday and he was gone that Monday. What does it matter now, let the man rest. Whatever he did on this earth good or bad he has received his judgement from God. All of us are going to have to pay for the things we have said or did while here on earth no matter who you are or what God or No God that you serve.

Man...his song stopped me from taking my own life. No lie. Its another one of those days again for me. So I had to listen to it to get my mind right. It hurts to know he died so young and brutally but once you've completed God's will, you must return home. Job well done!

He didn't write that song.that song was written by Don Johnson from Memphis tennessee.paul Jones led people to believe that he wrote that song but all he changed the title from I can't complain to I won't complain.all the other words came from Don Johnson.

I remembered hearing the sad news on the news and I thought at the time they were talking about another Rev. Paul Jones. I was pregnant with my first child. I was in disbelief And I could not believe it. He grew up in my neighborhood. I believe he was a true man of God. And sincere. I pray he is resting in God's arm.

Everyone is more concern with how he died, which is no concern of yours. only 3 people know what happen that night. Better question, If YOU Died today, IS YOUR Soul right? OR If YOU Died today, DO YOU Want People to focus on your flaws or praise your good works.

+Kim Mack we know how. He was shot to death in a botched robbery, but you are still right, that man was a legit man-of-God, i heard him preach and he was definitely as anointed as they come. God said to Paul Jones " Do your work in a brief span of life and i'll bring you into the Kingdom" and boy did he do it, he's in a better place.

First of all there is a difference between telling someone the truth and judging,if you are telling someone the word of the lord that's not judging because that is not your word you are telling them its the most high and if you was paying close attention to what I said I was asking a question,,, HE WAS SHOT IN HIS BEHIND,WHAT OTHER REASON WOULD A PERSON HAVE TO SHOOT YOU IN YOUR BEHIND UNLESS THEY WAS TRYING TO GIVE A "SIGN" A MAN OF GOD DIES LIKE THIS??? SOMETHING DONT ADD UP

It doesn't matter how he pass because we all will take our last breath one day. What's important is that we're ready to be judge rightoues by our creator. Because truthfully many don't know how they're going to leave this earth. 2 Corinthians 5:8 “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

Hi, my sincere condolences and prayers to your family even after all these years. I’ve been listening to his song I won’t complain most of the day. My mom was in the hospital out of state and I just felt like rewinding it over and over. I finally found a video of him singing it live and it was awesome he was really gifted but God to sing. I don’t mean to be rude but I’d rather ask family than read and believe rumors. How did he die was it in a car accident or was he robbed and killed? Thank you for posting and responding to my post ❤

Bishop Nelson says that Rev. Paul Jones died trying to help him. As I recall, Rev. Jones was murdered. What did Bishop Jones mean when he said trying to "help him"?
@cogickidd9916 жыл бұрын
mrtheoneandonly 83 actually the accident took place about a lil over a week before Rev. Jones was killed. The Nelsons were on their way to the National Convocation of the Church Of God In Christ. I believe the program that night he went to was a benefit program for Bishop Nelson and family.
@zztopdog5 жыл бұрын
mrtheoneandonly 83 LOL YOU CHURCH FOLKS are a mess!!!! First of all Paul Jones helped organize a BENEFIT PROGRAM for the Nelson immediately after their car accident. The Church always goes out of their way to cover up how people died. The Church NEEDS to start ministering to our ministers while they LIVE (every person has something they need help with) and then MAYBE they wouldn't have to die. We'd rather cover up stuff than deal with It. Rev Jones was an awesome preacher and an awesome singer but he was a bit tormented and NOBODY ever tried to help him so long as he could shout the church when he showed up. His death was tragic AND avoidable but The Church is into gifts these days, not people. Sad. What shappened to him happens all the time but it was something that he could have had under control by then. And we choose to cover it up in JESUS name, even though talking about it may save someone else from making similar fateful decisions. WHAT A CARING CHIRCH WE'VE BECOME...
@keith98429 жыл бұрын
newcreature2011 That is not true the first thing the church do is say when somebody die was that he was not perfect witch is true. I was 16 years old when Paul Jones died i grew up on his music thanks to my grandmother Paul had problems but who don't. Some say he was gay at the time i didn't know all that i found that out after he died . But one thing for sure Paul Jones was crazy about the Lord when he sing you could feel the passion in his voice something that is missing in church today . I will always be grateful to Paul Jones i love him and still listen to his music to this day i hope God accepted him in the gates of heaven .
