Revan DESTROYS Darth Malak Final Battle StarWars KOTOR(difficult mode)

Revan(amnesiac and formerly known as Darth Revan) while technically still a padawan offers Darth Malak(power enhanced by the Starforge) mercy but he refused so Revan decides to play along while Darth Malak runs around replenishing his life after being defeated numerous times until finally Darth Malaks body can't endure the beating anymore.
Game: Star Wars Knights of the old Republic
Gameplay: Difficult
Revan's alignment: lightside
NOTE:
No Stims or consumables(eg. med packs etc.....) where used only force powers and lightsabre combat.
No pods where destroyed.
Darth Malak was allowed to absorb all the fallen Jedi and was beaten 9/9 times.
This is the final battle on the Starforge.
NOTE: I did not use any mods that give my player any sort of advantage or disadvantage in game-play or abilities of this particular battle.
I did use 2 mods-one to allow wide screen resolution(you'll notice the power menu is on the centre of the screen) and the other was to change the player characters appearance which is of the original Darth Revan(I used kse save editor)

2 lightsabers used: unfortunately at the time of adding this to the description,I don't have full knowledge of all the exact crystals used since the game save used to retrieve this information is from the Starforge where a workbench is not available and the previous game saves where either deleted or ovewritten.

For anyone who wants to know how I beat Darth Malak in this video,here's a short description:
key force powers used- master speed,improved energy resistance and heal.
You'll notice that I had to continuously go to the character screen in-order to check the status(represented by icons) of both master speed and improved energy resistance since it wears out during the battle and you should renew it so u are more effective and beware of Malak casting force breach(if he does quickly recast improved energy resistance and then master speed).

strategy- cast improved energy resistance and master speed then attack while dual wielding lightsabers and use heal if necessary after beating Darth Malak which usually takes about 3-4 rounds to beat.
-repeat the same thing over and over and Malak will eventually die.
-it's important to cast improved energy resistance first before dueling Malak as it reduces lightsaber damage significantly.
Note:No cheats were used.
lightsaber dueling was the primary and only offensive skill used,so depending on the class you choose you may not get the same results as in the video since attack and defense score may vary.
Also as a Jedi guardian I was on many occasions able to kill dark Jedi with only a single force jump attack while dual wielding on the highest difficulty.

It was a long time ago I played this game but I still remember the surprise I had when I found out we were playing as Darth Revan all along that I ran out and told my bro about it. I still remember my last toon was a level 2 Scout/18 Consular. The most deadly combo I would say is abusing the fact that you can use Throw Lightsaber immediately with another force power which doubles your damage output. My favourite combo was Throw Lightsaber, Kill or Throw Lightsaber Stasis Fied after doing a Force Breach on Malak. He just gets slaughtered without a chance to lay a finger on me after that.

I literally just ran in a circle, healed from my force, managed to block him off on the cell where the jedis are held, i'd run around throwing my lightsaber killin the tanks and taking some damage but always out running him gettin heals off and regen my force... listen, im terrible lol

SAME! It took me more than 24 HOURS of trying to beat him to beat him! I felt so depleted after that, giving me a sense of accomplishment, that I beat it. That I’ve won. Well KOTOR 2 is gonna have to wait a few months before I install it, because I’m still recovering from that battle.

I ended up changing the difficulty to easy and this battle was still ridiculous. 95% of my attacks would miss, and none of my force powers would do anything. I only stood a chance because I learned that healing items can be used instantly from the menu (as opposed to using them on the 'fight screen'). I just spammed grenades and ticked him down as we stood 'toe-to-toe.' Of course, I ended up healing myself well over 50 times in the process. He would stun me for four or five seconds every 8-10 seconds. It was ridiculous. While I was stunned, I would heal and then when I could perform an action, I would throw a grenade before being stunned again. This fight is stupid.

@@Learnjapanesefromsomeguy the first time I lost to him was the very first time I played through the game. I had almost no items to use and my attributes, feats and powers were poorly chosen. There was no possible way for me to beat him then. After that, I never lost to him again and have even figured out how to beat him on hard mode. I use items, just not explosives, however, it is possible to beat him very quickly with them if you’re invested in demolitions… which I’m not in that game. Set up a bunch of mines on the walkway to him and after you’ve destroyed all the cages with jedi, have him chase you through the minefield.

Far out .. This guy is taking Malak to SCHOOL. The first time I versed Malak I had to replay the whole game cos I didn't know what I was doing the whole game and I made my character in such a way where it was just not possible to beat Malak. This guy is trumping him like he is nothing

i honestly dunno how you got through that fight so easy… i was a light side scoundrel/ guardian that dual wielded just like you and i was having trouble on normal… seriously i had to use SO MANY life support packs… i also needed adrenal stims and i quick saved and healed a bit whenever he ran off to heal… I'm thinking its probably the scoundrel part… as i have learned the hard way scoundrels SUCK… they die so easy and they aren't useful for anything other than security (which mind you t3 covers just fine)… seriously stealth i don't find useful since you have to leave your party behind to use it and theres no parts where its truly useful except that one time on the sith planet… oh and i especially noticed that scoundrels suck when i made a second file (scout dark side consular) and noticed the difference immediately… i didn't ever need to turn the difficulty to easy every time i encountered most bosses (its not like there was any way to grind for exp you know) so yeah… if i ever get around to finishing that file i think ill try either soldier/ guardian or scoundrel/ consular… why??? CUZ I FEEL LIKE IT!!! but yeah now I'm rambling… oh and did i mention i have the mobile version of this game not the pc or xbox version??? just saying since i may have needed to say that earlier cuz it may make a difference but heck if i know i am rambling and i should PROBABLY end the comment now… EDIT: i have a few edits here… first off i have since found out that scoundrels and sneaking arrant useless because of the near attack buff i hadn't known about… also i did this with a light side soldier guardian with dueling feats AND i used drain life on the corpses and i didn't get through as easy as you… also i was using heavy armor (cassius fetts armor to be precise)… and to top it all off i have an insanely high constitution and strength… and he shredded me quite a bit… thankfully i didn't die...

the mantle of the force sabre blows to be honest. I always preferred the barwagain* vibrosword as my offhand b/c of its incredible crit rolls with heart of the guardian as primary (solari + upari). played as scoundrel level 2 and 18 jedi guardian. master critical strike, master speed, force wave. master power attack worked great too if you played soldier/guardian. All other classes were irrelevant. kotor 2 jedi guardian/weaponmaster with power attack, juyo, dual sabres.

don't remember if I neglected to destroy 1 time since I haven't played this game in forever & my Xbox cd got too scratched so that it freezes whenever I get to one area of Manaan. I tried replaying the entire game again to see if it was a one-time deal. Freezes on Manaan. >:( Thinking of bring it up here to my dorm next semester, letting my roommate play it (he only has KOTOR II; never played I) on our suitemate's 360 and laughing as it freezes on him to ebb some of the pain. so dark of me.

I manage to beat him EVERY time using "Advanced Lightsaber Throw" and using "Force Drain" on the captive Jedi only when my health is low. It requires a lot of running, but it gets the job done. Is there a way to do it otherwise without Dark Side powers (which I know makes it easier)?

ChrisPC11 Dark side is not easier. The dark side is infinitely weaker than the light side, especially against Malak. Its not like any class can't take Force Drain so DS is utterly moot. The pods regen your FP and HP completely anyway so even LS Guardians can use drain on them. For Melee - Master Speed < Energy Resistance/Force Immunity < Master Flurry spam For pure LS Caster - Master Valor < Force Breach < Force Wave spam For pure DS Caster - Force Immunity < Force Breach < Force Plague < Force Kill Spam He's going to save more against DS powers, and a LS consular can effectively take any good DS powers (Plague, Kill, Drain) and use them better than any DS caster can LS casters get +3 CHA as well as +5 WIS over a DS Caster. With Valor that becomes +8 and +10 (Plus if you're doing pure DS powers they get Master Valor, but DS can use Valor otherwise)

Almost all LS powers are better. Almost all DS powers will be resisted sans a few good ones, which a LS Jedi are better with Frankly a LS caster will not even be hit a single time against Malak. Whereas DS potentially can be hit

i know i'm a year late but not destroying the stasis pods is pretty badass considering how much harder it would most likely make it to fight malak. anyway, it's also kind of cruel b/c instead of them becoming one with the force relevantly painlessly they are all brutally murdered in what I assume to be excruciatingly painful. So I think that means you lose some points in light-sidedness thus you are not pure light essence. Sorry. Still epic though.

Nick Kenoworthy Easily with Carth's health (and damage) + Mission. Mission is the best companion in the game bar none; her damage output is insane and will clear everything on Taris for you with Carth to back her up
