BMW 325i Touring E30 and Alpina C2 2.7 E30 the rare 80s station wagons in Hong Kong

The BMW 325i Touring E30 was born in the 1980s. At that time, the Hong Kong car market did not pay much attention to station wagons (Touring, Station Wagon or Wagon), because consumers did not have a strong preference for station wagons. Now, even the new generation of M3 Touring can be officially launched in Hong Kong, which is really a different time. In fact, the BMW 3 Series, numbered E30, was popular in Hong Kong back then as a four-door sedan, convertible and Coupe, and the price was not cheap at all. On the other hand, the E30 Touring station wagon is really rare. Another rarer one in the film is the Alpina C2 2.7 E30 station wagon. Both Lung Sir and Edmond Lau said that Alpina has never been officially launched in Hong Kong, and most car fans know about Alpina from media reports, but rarely see the real car. This time I was able to try the Alpina C2 2.7 E30 (also known as BMW Alpina C2 2.7) produced in the late 1980s in Hong Kong. It was purely by chance. The Rev Channel came across this car when it was filming in Tai Mo Shan. Edmond saw that the owner of the car was very young. Out of curiosity, he took the initiative to chat and offered to take a photo, and the owner agreed immediately. Even though Lung Sir and Edmond Lau are relatively familiar with cars, it is the first time they have come into contact with the performance of Alpina cars. Alpina has upgraded BMW's 2,500cc six-cylinder engine to 2,700cc, plus chassis tuning, which is the only one in the world What is the difference between the hundreds of C2 2.7 Touring and the original BMW 325i Touring? 今時今日德國車，已經不可能有當年嘅心思。車廠技術成熟，但係一切都係節省成本主導，大部份人都只求新款。引擎明顯不及廿幾年前耐用，技術水平足以管控壽命。錶板變芒疑似更豪更高級，事實真係慳唔少生產成本。電軚、電油門又係慳皮之作，識車嘅人都唔會欣賞，反而懷念舊車軚感、人車直接溝通。話就話世界大潮流，但係⋯😢

買過部E30 320i, 香島道幾乎掉咗頭，好在當年條街車少先執翻身彩。個車尾非常tail happy, 經常都甩，嗰個semi-trailing arm真係好唔掂，不過適應左就係樂趣所在，個頭真係冇推過，等我以為FR唔會推頭，後尾換其他車先知係錯嘅。當年我部自動波連風油軚，棍波係冇嘅，試過部325棍，非常之重，但回軚力漸進同強勁，比較最近試部i4, 頭三十度角完全唔識回軚實在天與地嘅分別。當寶馬仍然係Ultimate Driving Machine時係最好嘅年代。

I'd say the first estate / wagon that captured my attention would've been the Volvo 850, the shape was so much nicer than the equivalent 850 sedan, and they went completely mental and decided to use them to compete in the BTCC!!! I've never fancied a wagon so much. Obviously the Audi RS2 was also a landmark car in that regards, the subtle hint of Porsche add-ons were just prefect, the mirrors, the wheels, brakes, front indicators, etc but the 850 was far more accessible to the masses.

见过几部alpina 8系。 近代alpina定位一直都是发动机性能高于bmw340 接近m系列， 但是底盘设定更偏街道的巡航车。 F系列m car底盘讲真真是好harsh。外国好多中年人士无赛道需求aplina会是一个好选择因为跑街跑山alpina 跟适用。 记得早期alpina 出个d diesel高性能3系真是 perfect daily car。 有3-4百匹马力700几nm 最抵死是油耗劲低。
