The build is complete! Well at least for my end of October deadline.
This is a longer than normal video where I walk thru the entire rig and discuss at high level all of the build features.
I got Most of my build ideas from I Ride Tiny House Adventures KZbin channel. I got all of my technical DC power information and build steps from Explorist.Life channel and finally I got my inspiration to keep on just doing it till its done from Rusty at R&S Life after 55 channel.
But I'm not done, this is just Phase 1. Phase 2 will include my solar and anything else I figure out I missed on our maiden voyage to Texas and Old Mill Music Festival this weekend.
In this video I mentioned the Rule Shower Pump and you can see more about how I installed it in this video:
• The Water is Flowing i...
Windows from Vintage Technologies: www.teardroptr...
Tanks, tank monitors, pumps from RecPro: www.recpro.com/
Solar, invertor and batteries from Sungold Power: sungoldpower.com/
Victron Lynx Distributor: www.victronene...
AC Surge Protector: www.progressiv...
Everything else: Amazon of course!
Thanks for watching and I hope someone finds the video helpful.

This is rustys wife Sherri. Rusty is having such a bad day today and well, these days that just happens. I read this comment to him and he teared up. This man never tears up. He is trying so hard right now and if only one person appreciates that ot makes it so worth while. I can't thank you enough for the kind words and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. So happy your done but keep updating it and make those changes as needed cause its a little sad when the build is done. Enjoy your journey. Blessings

Sherri, I’ve had several friends and family deal with what Rusty is going thru, so is close to my heart. I do pray for a full recovery because I’ve seen it happen. And then how can one Rusty not support another Rusty. And Rusty’s caregiver. It’s hard on everyone I know. Blessings to you two as well and keep us updated.

This is beautiful. The bathroom is the nicest I have ever seen! Bill would be jealous!!! I'm a subscriber to Bill and Deb's channel. I like your get er' done attitude. I made a no build travel boogie bus out of my mini van for short trips. I take stuff from my house to make it homey. I invested $300. in 3 USB fans, a cook stove, portable dvd player, large fluffy rug and a compact sleeping bag. I use a wood crate I made to cook on. Perfect fort. Necessity is the mother of invention! No hotels for me.

Great build 😮 I had built out a 6X10 with Oak cabinets, beer n wine fridge, full apartment fridge and a mini drone room freezer. 6X6 fold down bed. But the trailer was stolen and they gutted it. 3.5 months later I got the trailer back and ALL OF THE WAS GONE, GUTTED, ZERO left inside. 😮 But I did get the trailer back. 😊

I have a single 12k Mini-Split and I'm going to add a second 9k Minisplit to help out. I have an 8.5 x 20 and the 12k struggles on the hottest days here in "Always Hot & Sunny Tucson" If I could start over, I'd purchase the unit that has a single outside compressor and 2 interior handlers... I have kinda felt like venting the French Cleats so that water/dust/crumbs can be a bit easier to deal with.

@mvrussisonline
@mvrussisonline 2 ай бұрын
@@schpoe123 another viewer mentioned that. It’s kinda an optical illusion. Where the rig is setting along my driveway is not level and kinda in a dish. And because of the un-levelness the tongue is closer to the ground than the rear end. I measured it hitched on level ground and is about 10” off the pavement. Yeah might still be too close for somed comfort but I’ve not yet encountered any issues. I’ve considered putting rollers front and back because I have drug the rear end once. Thanks for watching and commenting!

very nice. im curious how many times the gray water drain pipes have been hit while hanging mere inches from the road?
@mvrussisonline
@mvrussisonline 3 ай бұрын
Thanks. That’s actually black water lines up front. Gray come in from axle area. Also when I videoed the trailer is on some un level ground and are a lot higher when I hitch up. I’ve considered putting lift blocks over the axles. I think Lippert makes a kit for these torsion axles. I just measured for your and my curiosity (I knew but forgot) and the plumbing is actually 10” off level ground. So far no contact!

I just get heartburn with everyone mounting electrical to wood. Your house breaker box is metal for a reason. A short won't burn it.
@mvrussisonline
@mvrussisonline 4 ай бұрын
I'm not sure what "electrical to wood" you are referring to in my installation? Can you expand? Thanks.
@TheMILVET
@TheMILVET 4 ай бұрын
@mvrussisonline Sure. I see most cargo builders mounting inverters, batteries, switches, etc. to plywood. If any of these short or overheat, wood being flammable could create quite an issue. These should be mounted in or on metal, not wood, IMO.
@mvrussisonline
@mvrussisonline 4 ай бұрын
Are you building a cargo trailer conversion? I'd be interested to see how you are mitigating this concern? All I can think of based on your concerns would be to laminate a sheet of metal between the components and the plywood mounting board. All of the components I mounted to plywood are designed to be mounted so with manufacturer's engineered standoffs from the mounting surface to deal with cooling/air circulation. Even the switches which are housed in plastic are still mounted with stand off spacers from the wall. And an my case and most other cargo trailer builders all of the components which include the wires between them are heavily fused, so that (fuse) should blow before anything got to the point of a fire. But of course anything is possible. I would compare mounting the inverter or MPPT Charge Controller to my plywood wall the same as mounting a house sub panel to a plywood mounting surface or a metal junction box to a stud in a house/garage.
@TheMILVET
@TheMILVET 4 ай бұрын
@mvrussisonline yes, I am building. Just got the trailer, 16L 7W 8' tall v nose with barn doors not a ramp. I will be mitigating by mounting everything in the electical compartment in a metal box, similar to a normal breaker box in your home but much larger. The shut off switches mounted externally. A computer fan will cool with a duct venting externally.
