What I do not understand is that humankind can be so kind and at the same time so cruel towards animals. Look at the eyes of this elephant Kavaan, after being rescued. . Thank you for saving all these animals but Kaavan is something special that sweet boy is learning to trust again yes he still working though a lot has his time too yell push tree's over. I know he happy at home but too much change in short time we all have those times he smiles relaxed enjoying his home in the jungle I think he misses his girl's did not understand that this was his next step. I think sometimes elephant's who been in hell for 35 year's need a little extra love to know they did nothing wrong it just one more step to day outings being free you all picked the perfect home for him.

Hi Stacy, we are not aware of this. The Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary is still releasing new updates on Kaavan and the other elephants on a daily basis. You might want to check out their social media channel here > facebook.com/CambodiaWS/. The last update of Kaavan was a mere 3 hours ago.

We understand. At the moment, that's where daily blogs of Kaavan's new life appear though like how Kaavan enjoys wandering at night, which is why he takes mid-afternoon naps. Also, on how the elephants at the moment prefer to not interact: Kaavan is very much happy spending his day roaming the jungle and when the caretakers gave DiPloh and Kaavan a shared fence and shared food last week, both elephants still prefer to be on their own.
