It's so funny to me how they show they can balance stuff - Mateo's low base ATK is made up for by the 40% ATK boost from Eternal Flame (max), additional SPD scaling, and his synergy w Ahmed - whose Supporting Song grants him more ATK (and SPD at R2+) but then they pull the sike bitch u thought and smack Xuan Pin into our face. Also the funniest shit is how bad Yamato is compared to XP and the fact that one is free and the other is a Shimmer. Balanced game fr

because they don't correlate to literal elements and more elements of music and personality. But most of the community just assumes the former even though it make zero sense. I mean why would Hyde be wind when his powers are based on the dead? why would anyone be flow that doesn't deal in water? what would even happen to the ones who use ice? you have to understand the elements aren't literal, and stop taking them literally. They're based more on the person's spirit and the kind of person they are. Mateo is surprisingly cool-headed despite his fire powers and wouldn't really fit inferno at all in terms of "who he is".

I agree with pretty much everything the person above me said. But i would like to add that it also correlates to Kronos, Apep, and Fafnir. Majority of the espers that are good in Kronos are Flow espers. Apep = Inferno and Fafnir = Wind.
