IMO the most telling factor: SOMETHING happened to where the marriage ended so soon and so final. Of all the reasons JLB mentions, I think it was Maya's exposure to KZbin. Before Gio, Maya was at best a pudgy, plain-looking, heavily tattooed, single mother, who was fast approaching "old maid" status (by Filipino male standards). I assume her prospects of landing a man of means (again by Filipino standards) was slim to none. She had nothing: zero suitors, no one flirting with her, receiving no compliments, and basically her future looked depressing and bleak. Along comes Gio, who must have seemed to Maya that she won the lottery. And miracle of miracles, she wins the lottery again, Gio sets her up with a KZbin channel. And to the chagrin of Gio, the real Maya comes out. She doesn't want to be married to Gio, she wants to make money and have fun on KZbin, thinking when the time is right she will have her pick of a suitable partner, and husband. Money, flirting, compliments, drooling simps, that's what caused the split.

What I do not get is Maya is not that pretty and she is a single mother. Gio always called her beautiful and amazing on videos poeple would tell Gio not too but he did not care. We had no children, a small transfer of money, and the marriage was a little more than a year. We both signed the paperwork at the courthouse, filed it with the clerks office and the judge signed the paperwork. We had our papers returned in less than a month. There was no courtroom visit and we did not need to see the judge. I did see to it that my wife did have a visit with legal counsel. The lady attorney did not represent me. Basically it was an uncontested divorce, so it was very quick! Good luck

Spot on analyses of body language. When I took depositions or conducted trials, I always looked at everyone's body language because that always told me what's really going on inside that person. When the American expats are doing KZbin videos with their Filipinas I can always SEE which women truly love their men. You want to SEE what I mean, search for a KZbin channel named "Its Me" - that Marine's wife, a Filipina, really really really loves her man. Even after years of being together, when doing their videos she is always close to him and she can't keep her hands off him. They are truly in love. I contrast that with what I see in videos that JLB points out, and others I have seen. I can see their interactions and body language those Filipinas at most have mild affection for their American expats, and most certainly there's no love.

Karma never sleeps and the law of the Universe shall right the scales. Although Gio is obviously disappointed, this is the best thing that could have ever happened to him. Hi. Everone have a story. My asawa and I 10 years together with 2 pogi and maganda kids. UPS and DOWNS. When kids grow up they will have own family who stay with me ofc asawa.There is no perfect mans or womans. Someone stay short someone longer and someone till death. There is no too much philosphy. I recall from one of Maya’s videos (don’t remember if on her channel or Gio’s but she mentioned her mom used to beat her with a stick. I also saw on one of her recent videos made at her grandma’s house that there were no men around. Not the grandfather, father or any male uncles. Maybe they’re OFWs or no longer alive but perhaps they are just not around. That’s a huge red flag of that’s the case.
