I work for a AAA game studio. I've been following this channel for a while now, and its outstanding what kind of result a single person can do at home. CodeMiko and Xanadu are the two most impressive V-Tuber as today. However the cost of all the gear needed to achieve this quality is still prohibitive for most people. Hopefully in the near future the tech will continue to improve and the costs will drop, especially if they want everyone to be in the Metaverse. Keep up the good work!

@@terrydactyl2077 the equipment, no. They are just trackers and cameras and stuff that anyone can buy (though some are costly). The software aspect tho, she did all herself with unreal engine 4 among other things. She's migrating to UE5 soon which is part of why she's doing this tech demo. EDIT: sorry I should have said she *and her team* do everything software related themselves. She's not a solo act, but Codemiko/the Mikoverse usually gets referred to as one entity, "code miko"

This tech seems to be dropping in price pretty quick, which is great considering with the trackers, headgear, cameras/phone, software, and a computer that can run it all, you're currently looking at, what, $10K? I think that's out of pretty much every streamer's price range right now.

And we will soon be seeing VR that is so realistic, it will be tricking our brains into believing that we actually feel the things that we touch and experience. That will only improve over the next couple years-decade. And on top of that, the digital world is starting to attract Fortune 500 corporations for investment on virtual properties. Where this will end up is anyone's guess, but it will for sure be amazing!!! The 2020s~2030s are going to make the 1990s~2000s look like black and white television in comparison.

Miko and her world and its interactivities are largely Technician's creation. The bare bones game engine (Unreal Engine 4) and motion capture tools are not. The 3D assets are a mix of Technician's own models and stuff from the asset marketplace. She did hire a small team to help out with some of the development work after months and months of doing it all alone, but I believe she still does most of it.

The persona, ideas, and cosmetic alterations to the model are primarily hers. We're so far from the reality that people want in meta verse, people want to feel the stuff they are experiencing... like let's say purchasing a car, seating inside of it and smelling the new car seat, without actually doing any of it... that's what people want, and that's the difficultly of it. Or getting shot in the game, feeling the pain without suffering the consequences. And with one button reset it all from the start

Inertial systems probably could work much better than they do. One route I can think of would be to take inspiration form the human body with proprioception. The basic idea would be to add some sensors to allow it to continuously self calibrate, for example with the hand glove you add buttons or touch sensors to the fingertips that way everytime you clap it can self calibrate.

@@YeeeItsMe Have you ever seen the film 'Short Circuit?' The robot Johnny Five comes out with an insult to another machine that goes...... 'Your Mama was a snowblower!' I was goofing off about the combination of technology, when compared to that of procreation. If you code an avatar, is that not conception? There is a high likelihood that existing programmes that Technician were coded by men, and if you added up all that time, and singled out the male developer that put most time and data into that coding, could technically, and loosely could be considered CodeMiko's Dad, or at least a close relation. It was just simpler and quicker to guess toaster and power cable, because I was being silly. It's very hard for me, when I too suffer ADHD, to remain an adult for all 24hrs of a day. Forgive me, for sometimes, I am simply entertaining myself, and I don't care whether others get me. Then I look at how I write in detail, and remember that last sentence is a bullshit cope. I care greatly about not being misunderstood. It goes without saying.... I am a clown, not a comedian. You could have also asked..... what do you mean?
