Also GIRL the “shade” lyric is genius! It’s a parallel to lover. “Lived in the shade you were throwing til all of my sunshine was gone.” - I forgot you existed “Sit quiet by my side in the shade - and not the kind that’s thrown, I mean the kind under where a tree has grown.” - Paris She’s showing how her view of shade went from her thinking negatively about the horrible things people and the media were saying to thinking positively about spending quality time with Joe. It’s actually one of my favorite lyrics from the entire midnights album.

Lover is my favorite, however, I get why is not everyone's favorite. A good happy relationship is rare, and less people can relate to that feeling vs how many relate to heartbrake. And sadly, the polical views sided a lot of people.

THANK YOU I am an internet crusader for lover justice 😂 like objectively, the songs are good! The only songs I don’t like are the singles and I swear everyone says they hate it solely bc of those two songs. Lover is my 3rd fav album. Cornelia street, DBATC, false god, I think he knows, the archer, daylight, the man, miss Americana, I could literally go on and on… tbh I think the lover songs (besides the singles) are better than majority of the songs on 1989. The only 1989 song I really love is Clean and the bonus tracks. But I guess it’s obvious, it’s number 3 in my ranking so IMO the songs are overall better than the songs on the albums I rank below it 😂

I'm 50/50 with surprise albums. The feeling when she's announced a rerecord but I have to wait I absolutely hate. I know what the songs sound like so I just want it be released straight away so I can enjoy the new versions instead of this massive build up. But when it's an actual new album I love the excitement of waiting and hearing everyones theories on what genre it will be, what the songs will be called, what the theme will be, what the album cover will look like, what the themes will be etc. It's so fun.

Okay so: -reputation: I truly hope we get this later because it’s the most recent (unowned) album of hers -1989: even though midnights is so big I think we can agree that this album changed Taylor’s career and life in a way we still can’t comprehend -Speak Now: I’d actually love for her to release this as her last re-record because she wrote this all by herself and in a way this is truly claiming the skill she’s most known for-her songwriting (storytelling). In many ways I think her entire career even currently is simply her speaking out about whatever is most important to her. -debut: I’m honestly don’t know when she’ll release this but I’m with you that she shouldn’t release it as her last rerecord.

As far as I know, speak now and 1989 have been teased to be her next re-records 1989 was teased in the 'atw: the short film' because the car they were driving was a 1989 model, and speak now was teased in the bejewled music video on the elevator scene, every button color meant a different album and she pressed the button 3 which was purple, there were 13 buttons each color with a re-release appeared twice and the purple button appeared twice, I live for these kind of easter eggs

Now that we know speak now is next, I think 1989 will be after speak now, then debut, then rep. Let’s not forget she wasn’t even allowed to start re-recording rep until this past November, so the likelihood that it won’t come last is low.

At 2:55 in the Karma music video, she's holding a cup with two different colors of nail polish: blue for 1989 (at 8'o clock, probably August) and black for reputation (at 2'o clock, probably February). Also at 0:15, the statue she's standing on is engraved with "MCMLXXXIX" which is 1989.

Objectively, All Too Well is her best work. especially the 10-minute version! Subjectively, it's far from being my favorite song from her. I will always respect it, but I would rather listen to her other works I'm the most excited for the Taylor's version for 1989!! Then, debut. I want to hear taylor's matured voice on those tracks!! Then reputation, it's recent, but the vault tracks are a need!!!!!!!! And lastly, Speak Now.. My most unpopular opinion (that’s likely biased bc of a personal experience/relationship) is that It’s Nice To Have A Friend is one of if not the most underrated song of her discography bc it does the same intensely simple and beautiful thing as White Stripes We’re Going To Be Friends. ….and the only reason people don’t see/say this is bc not a lot of people can relate to it and the relatability of her songs is the #1 likeability factor in the fan base. 😶😶

Not gonna lie when Lover first came out in 2019 I only listened to the mainstream songs and didn't really care for it as an era BUT now thanks to the Eras tour a few years later in 2023 I have come to appreciate the era a lot more and even enjoy more of the lesser-known tracks! It is now in my top 5 favorite eras!

The double album I want is for Reputation (a dark vs light iteration). Before Reputation was released, I was convinced she was releasing a double album, one more bad bitch and the other more angelic love. And upon listening to the album, she totally could’ve done so. There are two totally different vibes on that album. Love Reputation btw!! I’d be in heaven for her to have enough vault tracks to do so. Although, I heard that 1989 has the most vault tracks. I’m so excited for ALL vault tracks!! Even Midnight vaults!! Also, I am waiting for a rock*ish album from Miss Tay. And I LOVE jazz Taylor, False God is PERFECTION!

The resons why taylor swift's next studio albumn (11th) album will be karma - 1.karma is the 11th track on midnight 2. The eras tour stage is shaped as a key and that key can also be seen in the google 1989 vault puzzle opening (means the stage is the key ) and her last performed song on eras tour is karma 3. In the karma mv there is a lyric "karmA gonna pop up unannounced" 4. We get midnights (10th studio albumn ) after 2 rerecordings so i think she will follow this pattern that after sntv and 1989tv she will release her next studio albumn . 5. That clock in that coffe shows 11 between her blue painted and back painted nails meaning we will get karma after 1989tv and before rep tv . 6. She has changed her style recently like she is wearing 1989 tv blue and also black (vma red carpet and her meeting sophie turner ) 7. In the karma mv when she is the goddess of justice there is written 1989 in roan numbers and behind it is written karma in the same style as the man mv and the the scene directed to rep which means 1989 tv then karma then reptv . 8. I have seen a hairstylist vedio that she might be wearing a wig recently because the line ofthe bangs where they originate from is too smooth to be done in natural hair so she might be hiding her platinum blonde (karma era) 9. Obviously her karma is real statement

My unpopular opinion is that I like “All Too Well” five minute version better than 10 minute version. It sort of like what you mentioned in the video. That’s the one that I’ve listened to or and over again for a decade. That’s the one I fell in love with. Sure, hearing all the details of that relationship is nice, but the less detailed version allows me to make it more mine, and less about her and Jake. I’m also mad that in the 10 minute version and in the re-recording of the 5 minute version, she didn’t say “shyou remember it all” like she does in the original recording.

I also agree that,some Swifties get way into looking for/creating Easter eggs. I also think people are doing themselves a disservice getting too hung up on exactly who a song is “about”. I see a lot of people missing out on great song writing/lyrics/music because they’re so preoccupied with figuring out who the “subject” of the song is. I get the feeling Taylor is trying to discourage that kind of obsession as well. In an interview for folklore/evermore she said part of the reason she’s starting using “characters” she created in more of her songs because she’s started to feel that every time she realizes a song she feels like she’s loading a cannon full of click-bait. (That’s not an exact quote, but it’s close.) As an artist, that also expands the pool of “experiences she can draw from in her song-writing. I have a feeling her future work will be a combination of her more “diaristic” songs, songs drawn from her imagination, songs drawn from the experiences of other people as well as songs that are an amalgamation of all of those elements.

I don't want Speak Now (Taylor's Version) be the next re-recording - I absolutely love Speak Now and i can't wait for it but after Midnights i need a pop album, 1989 or Reputation must be next. I want Reputation, when you really think about it both sonically and aesthetically Midnights and Rep are sisters and i need to hear them back to back. 2. I personally don't listen to stolen versions of re-recordings but if she changes something about Better Than Revenge i'll be listening to OG version, i don't care, feminism can go to trash for 4 minutes - this song is perfection and even slightest change in lyrics will completely destroy it for me. 4. I personally think that only re-recordings weaker than originals are WANEGBT, 22 and IKYWT - all others sounds better or just as good as originals. 5. I think after re-recordings she'll give us Lover's vault, the sad thing about it is that it won't be earlier than 2025 6. I have the exact same thoughts about number 4. The big three pop singles from Red sound the most different. And I do think the originals sound slightly better than the re-records. But I still enjoy the re-records, mostly IKYWT. Original WANEGBT original has more layered vocals in the chorus, which I prefer, and 22 just sounds COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. The guitar riff in the background in the chorus of the re-record is almost nonexistent. And that’s what I love about the original version of 22.

As for Lover, when I truly became a Swiftie during the folkevermore era, Lover was one of the first albums I really dived into and LOVED. I think I was maybe able to appreciate it more than “older fans” who were there when it dropped, because I never experienced any disappoint with the singles or anything. I just discovered so many good bangers like Cruel Summer and Death by a thousand cuts. Now, I feel like it’s not one of her best albums, because there are really high highs and low lows, but I still think Lover deserves more appreciation!

I agree with you on the easter eggs and actually all the "easter eggs" and speculation and pulling theories out of thin air made me less excited about Midnights once it came out. Don't get me wrong, I love the album and listen to it on repeat but at one point I had to purposefully click on every single Taylor tik tok that i'm not interested and heart all the other content just so I wouldn't see Midnights speculations anymore. The guessing game made me feel like it was less about the music, the production, the lyrics and more about who, what, where and why.
