Two things: 1) Mike is an absolute monster addition to the team. His knowledge and the way he conveys it to the audience, is awesome. The whole crew as a whole, is good for the channel. Surrounding yourself with good people, is key. 2) I'm glad you explained the whole "cease & desist" situation with actual perspective. Too often KZbinrs rant about getting a cease & desist from big companies and the audience gets out their pitch forks because they don't understand the WHY behind it. Ferrari, just like any brand name product, will protect that brand name at any cost. Every car manufacturer does this to people. Ferrari just gets pointed out because of their status in the car world and some brands aren't high profile enough or the situation isn't important enough to make a KZbin video about it. From Hyundai to Rolls-Royce, it happens all the time. Just as Mike pointed out, BMW did it to him and his team, which caught him completely offguard. I know someone that got one from Ford because they were rebuilding a wrecked Ford GT for Texas TX2K and Ford didn't like that one of their "unicorn" cars was being used for the event - although there is already top speed run built Ford GTs at that event. But he also mentioned he got a cease & desist from Ford 20 years ago for building a drag Mustang. Which is completely ridiculous, when it is one of the most common drag cars out there. So this is way more common than people think. And just like with DDE, if someone else was building a KZbin channel and referencing DDE constantly and/or using some intellectual property, purchased or not, to uplift their own brand, Damon and Dave would have every right to send their own cease & desist letter. If Damon decided to make a video and brand it as "Gymkhana" with Hooligan's explicit consent, Hoonigan could come after him. So he has to be careful how he goes about all of that. The people that don't understand, don't have a business or simply don't understand how business and brand recognition works. This is how it is and always will be. So I am glad you explained that to the audience in the way you did. Too many misunderstandings being peddled around on the concept of a cease & desist. Anyway, killer content! Keep up the great work!

14:37 Running any vehicle low on fuel will possibly damage your fuel pump which is why most cars can go another 10-20 miles on 0 miles to empty. Always keep your car filled!

From the AIE (US Energy Information Administration) "Octane ratings are measures of fuel stability. These ratings are based on the pressure at which a fuel will spontaneously combust (auto-ignite) in a testing engine." Which also means the less impact with higher Octane, you need this with higher compression ratios to keep the motor together. Auto-igniting or knocking will destroy an engine over time.

I was taught that high octane fuel is actually less flammable than low octane to avoid detonation in high compression situations ie: static high compression motor, or lots of boost. Low octane is more combustible, hence in high compression situations it detonates and gives you knock.

Octane is just the ease at which fuel ignites. You dont want the fuel to ignite under compression. You want the spark plug to ignite. So when you run higher compression engines you need higher octane fuel.

Check the valves or ports on the rack. If the power steering gets hot, the fluid gets sticky and creates a residue on the inlet port. Cutting the flow to less then nominal.

If the power steering whines like a Ford, apply Vacuum to the system when it's running to pull the air from the pump. It fixes it as long as the pump isn't too scorred inside.

The octane explanation in the end was pretty close to be true. But the easiest way to explain it is as follows. The higher the octane is the more you can compress the air/fuel mixture without self combustion due to compression. In other words....that gives you the bigger bang 🤘
