This car seems really impractical with the V-12 it weighs 4800 pounds and it does 0-60 in 3.3 seconds and it overheated plus he said you really feel the weight of the car when you brake. The Cadillac CT5 Black wing is just as fast with a V-8 engine and I bet it wouldn't overheat . It handles really well also. I am not comparing the expensiveness of the Ferrari build with Cadillac of course Ferrari uses the finest leather and the stereo is probably incredible,but if you were to compare the Cadillac CT5 Black wing with this car putting both through the same paces you probably wouldn't think the Ferrari is worth $300,000 more than the Black wing and the Black wings gas mileage is alot better too and it won't overheat either.

6:27 that means it has stepper motors cranking the suspension adjustments tighter and looser

Hopefully they'll handle the stress after a few years.. and not become the Mercedes ABC Suspension.... not to mention the Oil temp light that came on during James run post dig and Thomas doing sightseeing during "cool down"
@xtnuser5338 Жыл бұрын
No. The motors are actually driving the suspension up and down via jack screws attached to the damper shafts...not just changing the damper settings. Why the heck would you implement stepper motors to do what a control valve could do?
@Ficon Жыл бұрын

@@xtnuser5338 yah, the adjustment I'm thinking of is just oldschool spring preload; i dunno what adjustments fancy people have
@xtnuser5338 Жыл бұрын
@@MonkeyKong21 Spring preload? Most "adaptive" suspensions, or suspensions with different "modes" for comfort/sport or whatever...are simply changing the compression and rebound settings on the dampers. Some of the fancy ones make this change automatically based on how you're driving, but they're still doing that same function that other people have to press a button to do. With this Ferrari, we're talking about something much more "active." It's actually driving the suspension up and down. Theoretically, if you had control over its operation, you could command the thing to lower itself, raise itself, tip itself forwards and backwards or side to side or corner to corner, and even lift up one wheel for an easy flat tire change (well, this last one would depend on the balance of the whole car). I'm sure the computer at minimum commands such things as: 1. various ride height possibilities for different conditions 2. lowering the rear and raising the front to counteract dive under braking situations 3. lowering the inside and raising the outside to counteract body roll under turning situations (this is why it doesn't need anti-roll bars) Depending on the sensor arrays available to use, and the speed of the actuating motors, it might possibly also: 4. read a pothole situation and drive the tire down into the hole and back up again, to reduce the transmission of the forces felt up into the chassis 5. do the opposite over a protruding bump for the same reason

I had the privilege of going to Ferrari of SF and seeing the new Purosangue in person, and was pleasantly surprised by it. I didn't get to drive it that day, unfortunately, so I am still hoping to be able to do that soon. To me the Purosangue is the ultimate dad mobile for the dad who doesn't want a traditional SUV (like myself). It has 4 doors, room for 2 kids seats in the back and enough storage space in the rear for all your kids stuff. And while I have to agree it is definitely worth the purchase price, that is a ton of money! Great video as always!

That engine really does make the car (SUV), not to mention the transaxle as well. If it had a V8 like any other sell out marquees, there would’ve been a riot. I wanna say that this is probably the spiritual successor to the Maserati Quattroporte 5.

I still don't understand why they decided to go with the design they chose. Like the Roma is a good looking car imo but basically taking a Roma and making it an SUV doesn't look good. Porsche has already tried that with the 1st gen Cayenne and that didn't look good either. Taking a "normal" car out of your lineup and making it an SUV most of the time doesn't go so well, especially with these more exotic cars. For me personally the only SUV from such a company that has looked good right from when it was released was the Urus, altough as I have noticed a lot of people seem to dislike the way that looks aswell.
