Great job!! I like Barton, hes definitely more confident at the G spot. You can tell that hes got a powerful first step on power runs. Can dip his head a bit at POA which can be coached up. Takes some false steps at times that gets him not in the greatest positions, especially at the OT spot in pass pro. With more stronger inside players the short arm technique can eat him up. I do think he would be a great fit in Dallas though. Great breakdown!!! Have been telling peeps about your channel!!!

GREAT call on the play about keeping his hands inside I think against Clemson(? #7) as well! That was a play that all the networks used as an example of him winning a rep yet you correctly pointed out that may be a penalty call in the NFL. As far as his projection to OC he played C as an 18yo freshman in & played very well, which is why people, including the Bucs FO, are so comfortable projecting him there in the NFL. The Bucs, especially GM Jason Licht, Love to take athletic OT's from small schools & move them inside. They've successfully done so w/ Ali Marpet (they think of Barton as Marpet 2.0, which you can see why from his tape), Alex Cappa, Cody Mauch (He'll be in the weight room with Luke "The Lifter" Goedeke, & Tristan Wirfs this off-season. Mauch's 2nd year outlook is much better than what he showed as a rookie. Even Marpet struggled some making the move to the IOL & the NFL) & (w/ much less success & was a reach) even Robert Hainsey, who Barton will be supplanting at OC. They were all college OT's, mostly from Div-III too in Mauch, Marpet, and Cappa! Thanks for the breakdown. Keep up the good work! (I'd recommend against putting a slideshow w/o commentary in the middle of a breakdown though, bc I thought the video was over & you had good stuff after it. It's ok to do, although I wouldn't, but at least tell people what you're doing, bc you even had the "ending" music. I only say this, bc your video is good enough to make it with a little more work. I'm now a new subscriber, which I don't do often, or lightly! HIT THE LIKE BUTTON PPL! You heard the man!)

Thanks so much my brother I will keep all of that mind and thanks for the feedback. Yeah Barton was one of my favorite draft prospects and I wanted us to draft him bad lol. I do college film during draft season so let me know who you want to see draft season and we will run it brother

Definitely feel like hes a guard in the league, not a tackle. And he needs some work on his technique. But his drive and physicality in top notch. Curious to see what his draft stock looks like.
@JCCowboysNetwork11 ай бұрын
Absolutely bro. They’ve been hyping him and I can see why because of the drive and physicality but there’s things he has to work on. The better coaches can get it right for sure. They are talking about him being on our radar in the first. I believe he is a top of the 2nd round type of talent who might get picked at the end of the first round being that he wouldn’t get to the teams at the end of the 2nd
@davidlawrence805111 ай бұрын
On thag play where he fell it looked like he took his eyes off of the rusher to see what the linebacker was doing. Also a fake punch would have probably not allowed the defnder to get hamds on him first. I think he could come in and start at center for us but could also be a future left tackle with some more technique refinement.
@JCCowboysNetwork11 ай бұрын
It looked like he was staring that defensive end down to me, he just reacted late which gave the defender leverage to close in to the QB

Nice breakdown! Hope he's on the board when the Niners are up haha #goniners

Oh and I'd Love to hear your thoughts on the 'Boys trading down only to watch Graham Barton be taken by my Bucs, then selecting Jordan Morgan, who seems solid at OT, but I'd have personally gone with the upside of a Guyton over Morgan. Although I guess you could say that it is Jones showing they actually ARE in "win now" mode! Too bad it is the first move all off-season where the Cowboys FO actually showed they were in "win now" mode!! LOL
@JCCowboysNetwork9 ай бұрын
Bro I saw Barton and Morgan off the board, it hurt my heart. Guyton is athletic with no left tackle experience but I trust will Mcclay when it comes down to offensive linemen. I'm actually working on his film session now lol
@Haleywould9 ай бұрын
@JCCowboysNetwork What about kicking Trey Smith out to LT & developing Guyton for a year? I like Guyton a lot, but he only played 14 games at OT. Says he's more comfortable at LT, which is strange if he played RT, but good. If i had a choice & had picked a LT where the boys did I'd have taken Guyton, just based on potential. The reason Barton was available was bc no one was letting him play OT in the NFL unless there are injuries. Versatile enough to, but his arms are way too short. You could see when he went up against length at Duke he struggled. He's a G/C. Between Guyton & Morgan I'd take Guyton 100/100x! Morgan is more pro ready, but a MUCH lower ceiling. Guyton could be All-Pro & if he takes well to coaching there, it could be sooner than later! I almost wanted the Bucs to take him & slide Goedeke back inside now that he's put on some noticeable muscle lifting w/ Wirfs all offseason. Higher value position, but I like Barton a LOT at C.

I see a lot of holding calls in his future
@scrotumscratcher24749 ай бұрын
Holding calls are only called if there’s pulling. All Barton’s hand placements were on point and he’s strong enough to not allow defenders to move enough to be called for a holding. Him being on the interior and playing at center will help against the speedy guys who be hard to deal with
@coganblaster11 ай бұрын
Thanks JC. I like Barton's physicality, but don't think he's an OT. The team needs one in the first 2 rounds. By the time they double back for an IOL, he'll be gone.
@JCCowboysNetwork11 ай бұрын
No problem bro! Yeah if we don’t add this game in the first round, he will be home by the time we pick in round 2. IOL is his place to be for sure lol
@samuelsandate98049 ай бұрын
Cowboys need to get a center
@Haleywould9 ай бұрын
That rep you showed he lost bc he lost the leverage battle by standing way too high and was practically back on his heels. That is easily corrected in the NFL, especially as he will be playing OC, possibly OG depending on who the Bucs take the rest of the draft and how things shake out in training camp.
@JCCowboysNetwork9 ай бұрын
Yeah he will be playing center or guard. The dude is a beast though for sure

He definitely will not be a Tackle, he’s going to play Guard or Center. I read he’s smart and I can see how athletic he is. But for me, he spends too much time on his ass. I like either a real C in the Draft or sign one in FA.
