Of course, it's a FMIC product instead of being Jackson/Charvel, like the Charvels I owned and lost to theft in the last century, but it was still cool. Now, something that many will not think is cool. Were I as rich as I would need to be to buy Randy's prototype, I still wouldn't! I would actually be more likely to buy a current RR3 or something similar if I wanted that look. I would even more likely just get a good Dinky with a Floyd or something I could modify to taste. My having learned much of guitar modification and adjustment has taken a lot of the mystery out of guitars for me. Good review for the most part but you need to dig a little deeper when approaching such delicate history. It was Randy's idea to put the Jackson Logo on the headstock. The second and third versions of the Concord were tweaked to Randy's exact specifications. Notably the the higher frets reach and size of the frets. Also the body shape was so Randy's specs and design. Randy wasn't happy with the first version so he kept asking for tweaks more to his liking on the next versions. He kept dialing it on so to speak. On the first version Randy was in the shop as they were cutting the body shape and they kept trimming and cutting it into he was satisfied. It's all documented history most of which came from Grover himself. I agree with others, this guitar belongs to the Rhoads family and should be reunited with them. I would also like to know what original parts are missing. It was reported that this guity was not completed at the time it went to namm so they just slapped a bunch of stuff on it that was laying around the shop to get it playable to showcase it at namm.
