12:51. Paul your spot on mate. Before the broom fell it was as I suggested last night after watching this brill episode...it was only a couple of degrees off vertical. Sadly for me that means it could...COULD...have fallen just because of its position. I hope I'm wrong as you deserve some positive activity from all the jaunts in the cold n dark. Interesting point and I didnt notice last night when viewing that it was a couple of degrees off vertical. However, I would have thought if it were a few degrees off vertical and the bristles seem a bit deteriorated on that off vertical side as Paul points out that it would have fallen to the side. That would seem the way it would fall if it were slightly off balance, I would have thought that more force would be needed to push it backwards.

I'm glad you pointed out about the loudness of the sound when the broom fell verse the volume it came out at when you two were standing right next to it trying to do a recreate debunk. I think the volume adds to the evidence that the broom didn't fall of it's own accord. Thanks for doing this follow up video. I really appreciate this video Paul, it shows to me that you are a "fair witness". You have explored the likelihood of the movement by natural causes, such as wind (none) or animals (none), and discounted them; I will add vibrations and temperature differentials. The big point is though that any natural movement would have caused the brush to slide along the shelf before falling, this didn't happen. We all know brooms and brushes that fall from their positions in cupboards or wherever. I have one in a kitchen cupboard and whenever I open the door to get something I invariably knock the broom which slides at an angle towards me. In this case the brush moved away from the shelf perpendicularly, as evidenced by it its new position. Something had to move the brush with deliberate force away from the shelf. I agree, the sound made by the brush when it was toppled back by Mark was quite different, it was gentler, compared to the sound during the 'live' which really did sound as though it hit the ground with some momentum. I think you have demonstrated evidence of the paranormal ! I know you weren't lucky enough to catch it on camera, but that is so so rare, maybe once in a lifetime. You have provided the evidence and the testimony, beyond reasonable doubt ... the paranormal is guilty.

I remember seeing the brush before it was pushed over and hoping neither of you trip over it in the pitch black dark. Neither of you were anywhere near it when it hit the floor, if it had just slid down the noise wouldn't have been as loud, something definitely pushed it. What has gotten into people? There are no definitive or irrefutable answers. You can believe it or not - or have an open or closed mind. It's up to you. If this isn't your bag then don't watch these channels. Do you seriously have nothing better to do than troll these channels and knock people for their POV's? Get a life. GOT - it's sad that you feel that you have to do this. The brush def did fall - what was the cause? well there are various possibilities and that's where people can make up their own minds. But it is important, interesting and entertaining for guys like you to be investigating this. Sadly, social media is getting worse for this, as we have developed into a society too ready to divide and hate. Filter them out...there will always be "those people" with nothing better to do. It was good to listen properly to the sounds the broom made, both times. First when it fell 'alone', ...and then when it is pushed by you in the debunk attempt. My only other thoughts were, ...a mouse would be too small and light to cause it to fall so hard, even if it ran up the handle, ...shown by just how much actual force was needed for a human to manually fully tip it over, at first go. With a mouse running up the handle, im thinking we may have heard the tapping sounds of the broom moving under a lighter force, ...like when you were trying to see how much push it would take, and it kept bouncing back against the table. A much bigger, fatter rat maybe, trying to run up the handle, *might* be heavy enough to cause it to come crashing down with force, at its first chunky attempt. But if so, ...it would have surely scared the sh*t outta the fat rat too, ...which im pretty sure you would have heard such a large rodent instantly squeak in fright and/or the sounds of it fleeing after, in a total desperate panic. But, there was just the very distinct clatter and bouncing sounds of the broom falling hard, and thats it, ...before the swearing starts, lol. I know you guys are 100% legit, and so im utterly intrigued. All i can really say is, ...Please DO go back there asap, if you can. 👍🌟

PAUL! Laws of physics! If a broom is standing too upright it will tip over, however, if it is leaning - it will simply slide due to the broom part being the heaviest, so it will move and drag the handle. I checked with hubby cos he's good at physics and he said he always places our brooms backwards so they don't slide. Even with the bent bristles - it would have only slid. Sam was a physics genius at school and confirmed. We'll answer what he sees on the other vid so I don't look like I'm nagging you! lol

I agree, we knew it would be questionable by debunkers/viewers so I thought I would put things straight as soon as possible, also I do agree that debunkers should give the chance for the investigators to defend their evidence before being accused of anything, but at the same time the investigators should have the raw footage ready for anyone to see, but again space is very limited to keep everything, but if a possible paranormal event occurs then that footage should always be kept somewhere safe for when it is questioned, it can then be showcased for all to see 👍

Good stuff as always! I commented on the original video with a mix of skepticism and intrigue, but figured I'd continue with my thoughts here. Apologies for this wall of text, but I have a few thoughts, because I do think it's an interesting catch (if not quite the level of the bang in the doll house) for a couple of reasons. One, the position of the broom after it falls, which makes it look as if it fell straight back, defying gravity. And two, the loudness of the impact, which sounded more forceful than just a broom falling over. I think the first factor (the position) is "debunkable" as perhaps not as interesting as it seems at first glance, but I admit I can't account for the loudness at all. It's subjective, and we don't have those beautiful old stone churches here in the States, at least outside of New England, although some of the Spanish missions here in the southwest are breathtaking. So I can't speak to the acoustics, but it did seem oddly loud. As for why it would fall at all to begin with, it was resting on the bench at quite a steep angle, with much of its weight on the bristles rather than the handle. At around 10:45, it looks like it might also be resting slightly off-center, though that could just be parallax from the angle of the shot. So we can assume its position wasn't entirely stable, it is a broom after all. Maybe the brush was wet or damp from the last time it was used, which would cause the bristles to be slightly expanded whenever it was rested against the bench. As the bristles dried, and the temperature dropped with nightfall, the bristles would've contracted, which could've ever-so-slightly changed the broom's distribution of weight and center of gravity, until at a certain point it fell over. Stone isn't a very good shock absorber, so a lot of the force from the various micro-vibrations would've been transferred from the stone bench to the broom. I admit, on its own, that hypothesis doesn't seem particularly likely. But we have to consider all the "unknown unknowns" - the variables that we don't realize we're not aware of. There are countless random hypotheses like this one, and it's the /sum/ of their probabilities we have to respect, not the probability of any one single natural hypothesis. In my own experience as an investigator, that's the ultimate frustration: only being able to try to test/debunk the theories we can think of, and never being able to be entirely certain that a capture is paranormal or not! As for why it would've fallen straight back, I don't think it did. Despite how it landed, it could've slid to the left or right and, because of the friction of the bristles stopping it, the broom's momentum would've rotated away from the bench, pivoting on those bristles and giving the illusion that it fell straight backwards, if that makes sense. Of course, this could've still happened even if it _was_ a spirit that pushed it over -- again, that lack of certainty either way! Regardless, I'm certain that it fell on its own and there was no fakery involved, and the impact is still a bit louder than I would expect, even given the acoustics of the stone church (beautiful location, by the way). Looking forward to the next premiere!

Well done Paul, for going through this video. Even though the brush has a slight lean to it ,it's to the side , and it would not fall on its own. I've got horses and thers brooms here ther and every where, on uneven floors up against all manner of things, and in force 10 gales, and if brooms fell as easy as some people say this fell, then they would be the barn of my life , as I would be continually picking them up. So I know this broom did not fall on it's own no way. And if like some people are saying "you should of had a camera on it,then yes it's obvious your expecting something to happen, and if you go with there way of doing things you would need every item in every room you investigate, in view of a locked off camera, . Its really hard to see. When you say you can just make out the broom, I can't see it. & seeing on your screen is probably a lot more clear than videoing & uploading to youtube then us watching it. But once you showed it with some light back there, I could see it. I was gonna say that wood floors have some movement to them & with you guys walking around a good bit back there, that could have moved it a lil bit at a time. But then I seen its not wood floors, they're stone. 🤔 The bristles of the broom looked curved to me. I don't know if that had anything to do with it falling. But does seem a lil weird that the broom stood up for a long time before it fell. 🤷‍♀

It proper bounces which to me suggests force as there isn’t as much bounce when you just push it slightly. Love that you showed this but I didn’t need to see it. I can5 explain it naturally xx

Paul I don’t think you can do anymore to prove you had nothing to do with that brush falling like that. Thanks for showing this footage. I believe you had nothing to do with it at all and you definitely captured something spiritual. I can’t believe that Ray, was his name could say with the brush being slightly worn down one end could have caused the fall, imo couldn’t have happened! Strangely I also have a brush that’s worn down one side that’s kept , at an angle against a wall exactly the same way in my utility room ...has been there for ages ...it’s never moved! I would have thought if it had, wouldn’t it had slid and not fallen 🤔just a thought. Carry on doing what you’re doing guys. Your the best! 👍
