I am a Vietnam Vet and by nature and experience not much for tears. But I cannot get through this video without the tears flowing. the fine actors David Huddleston and James Mceachin embody service pride ,patriotism and the knowledge that we aging. In real life Mr Mceachin isarecipent of the silver star and purple heart.

I copy and send this out to all my friends on May 30 and also Nov 11. These aren't days just for barbecuing or going to the mall, they are days to remember the fallen who went before us. They all served with pride and some endured hardships most people couldn't dream up in a nightmare!

Also the Aussies during the Vietnam War on Port Call. Get a few drinks and for sure someones going to say something about the Queen. I guess it's feelings carried on since King George during British occupation of the Colonies. Before you know it the SP's or MP's would be bringing everyone in the Paddy Wagon headed for the Brig. Lol. It didn't take very much to stir them up. Then before you knew it you were headed back out in the China Sea fighting together and our lives did depend on each other- I was a Corpsman and we would get SAR calls didn't matter what country and the Aussies are good fighting men. That's how I learned whenever you go to a joint always look to see if there's a rear exit and sit there to disappear. I still do that to this day.

I normally don't share patriotic things to my news feed but this video is incredible. Let's make this THE popular video of the day people. Meanwhile at the schoolhouse at Fort Leavenworth, KS (Army base) where I work, where international students and US interservice agencies (civilian and military) come for strategic collegiate studies, the flagpole in front of the building has not had a US flag raised in more than a month now because for some reason they cannot figure out how to repair the flagpole in a timely manner. Were it a Marine base they would have a Corporal climb that damn pole every day and duct tape it up there if that were what it takes until they got it fixed. If it were a Navy base they would have the Seabees or some MR shop on a ship manufacture the parts and have it fixed or liberty is secured until it is fixed.

Thank you that was awesome totally made me cry. The most memoriable time I raised colors was on my ship overlooking the Arizona memorial in Hawaii. Our ship was very big and it was the only spot we'd fit. I could see the remains of the Arizona very clearly. It was also our first U.S. port after coming back from the Gulf War.
