@@Alexander07865When the rich man died, the Bible says he went to hell and Lazarus was in a place of comfort. The rich man was communicating with Abraham. If you read that passage, you will need to ask yourself: how was Abraham talking to the rich guy; how did Abraham know the things the rich man did; how did Abraham know about Moses who came much after him? It is God who gives some that knowledge. Those who die in God live on for eternity. No Catholic worships Mother Mary (it is a big lie); they seek her intercession with her Son. I think it would be wrong to assume that if the angels and saints can intercede for us (and, yes, it is Biblical), Mother Mary can't. Just look at who she bore in her womb! If placing a picture is idol worship, then we are all guilty of it. Every home has a picture of a loved one. We are not just spritual, but physical beings and that is why God manifests himself physically in history. A picture of Christ, or the crucifix, helps us connect. God himself instructed Moses to hold a bronze serpent high. He also instructed what should go on the ark of the covenant. If we speak and pray looking at a statue, it is who the statue represents that is the key. If it is that of a bull, then we are certainly in trouble.

I am happy to hear you say that Mary was not divine, but human. So many seem unable to understand that Mary could not possibly be divine, or Jesus would not have been human at all. I think you are misinterpreting Revelation 12, as it is referring to an actual SIGN IN HEAVEN that took place last September 23, 2017. The Sun, Moon and Stars were given to us for Signs, and this is clearly what the passage is pointing to as it LITERALLY happened in the sky/heavens last year. There are spiritual patterns and overtones of course that reference the virgin birth, but the Sign and the birth of the child in THIS context are referring to the BODY of the Christ Child, which is now understood to be believers in Christ the Messiah. Communion is not the only form of sacrifice that God recognizes. Praise, prayer and worship are all considered sacrifices unto the Lord. Some examples: Lev 7:12; Psa 50:14; Psa 119:108; Isa 57:19; Jer 33:11; Jer 33:18;Hos 14:2; Rom 12:1; Heb 12:28; 1Pet 2:5 Offering these sacrifices of Praise, PRAYER and Worship to any other than God the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ is Idolatry. JESUS is our High Priest and our only Intercessor - NO man comes to the Father but through HIM (John 14:6). Mary, as a blessed but HUMAN woman, is now ASLEEP until the resurrection and unable to answer prayers as that is what JESUS shed his blood to do. JESUS and JESUS alone is our intercessor according to HIS OWN instructions as well as the WORD OF GOD which He can NOT contradict, as HE IS that very Word made manifest in the flesh. There is no “Queen of Heaven” that we are instructed to worship or deify in ANY way in the Word of God. We are, as you yourself cited in Jeremiah, instead CLEARLY told that to do so is an ABOMINATION to our Father in Heaven, as it is Idolatry. May God BLESS you with revelation about the particular blessings and curses placed on the Book of Revelation, and enable you to see and teach the truth of His Word in Jesus’ name.

@@CatholicProductions Your video has just began and I know you are going to repeat some part of the lie! The woman in Revelation 12's Child was caught up to the throne of God at the time of birth. When Mary gave birth to Yehoshua he was not caught up to the throne of God. That woman is no symbol and she is not Mary. Mary was born by King David's linage so that when Yehoshua was born he fulfilled the promise by God's covenant through Judah. If you read Genesis 49:10 you will see that the sceptre would not depart from between Judah's feet until Shiloh came. So who is Shiloh to whom the obedience of the peoples belongs? In the first century when Yehoshua was born to Mary he had some obedient followers who began to make the 144,000 from the 12 tribes being what the 12 stars represents. But this woman was prophetic for God foretold through the Apostle Paul Hebrews 1:6 that he would again bring his Firstborn into the inhabited earth. This corresponds with the woman being arrayed with the sun and the moon beneath her feet. That is because when this woman gave birth to the Son of God in His second coming when he was caught away to his Father's throne to rule over earth with the 144,000 from the 12 tribes Rev. 7 and Rev. 14 there will no more be any need for the sun nor the moon to shine for Almighty God will be the light that will shine upon that city and the Lamb will be the lamp Revelation 21:22-27. The woman's Patriarch Jacob prophesied these two births in Genesis 49:25 by blessings of breasts and blessing of womb. That is because Mary nurtured her child when born to her in the first coming from King David's linage and also in the second coming when caught away to heaven. The second coming being prophesied all through the bible was to be by the Levitical priesthood linage of Phinehas to whom God Almighty gave a covenant promise that his offspring would have a covenant of a priesthood to time indefinite Numbers 25:10-13. That is because our King and High Priest will come in full power and Glory having the sceptre and commanders staff that will never depart from his possession. The Son of God who was named Jesus or Yehoshua in the First coming was called by those in heaven Emmanuel meaning when translated 'With Us Is God Matthew 1:22,23 which corresponds with Genesis 49:25.. Our King and High Priest has been born on two occasions by DNA from the lineage of Kings and also DNA from the linage of High Priest Phinehas that he will rule with 144,000 over earth in the manner of Melchizedek Hebrews 6:20 and Hebrews chapter 7 and chapter 8. This is prophesies fulfilment just prior to judgment that will come when the lies spoken of Revelation 12 is exposed and the truth is upheld.

@Josephine Muller Yes Rev. 21:1 was seen in the heavens as you stated. But verses 2-4 have also been fulfilled. In verse 2 the "travailing" is before the birth but Isa. 66:7 the birth has no travailing before the birth. The "woman" is scattered Isreal and the "child" is the nation of Isreal ready to be reborn after the "travailing" holocaust. The "wonder" in verse 3 is the constellation of the dragon. In it's tail is Ursa Minor where we get the symbol of the swastika. The tail wraps around Polaris making it is seen both day and night accusing the brethren, 12:10.. The heads and crowns are Muslim nations. Verse 4 the Jews are drawn into camps and ghettos. It is 1\3rd (6 million Jews) of the stars of heaven (Dan. 8:10, Gen. 22:17) they are cast to the earth (murdered). The woman (scattered Isreal) is ready to be delivered (1948 Isa. 66:8). The dragon tried to devour her child the day it was born. Verse 5 is the rapture of the body of CHRIST his church. Isa. 26:18-20, for which we watch for to come any day.

The queenship in heaven is in PSALM 45:9 SIRACH 24. This is why Mary is the queen crowned with 12 stars seen by John in Revelation 12. I know that Catholics and Protestants have differences on the interpretation of Revelation 12, but maybe we can agree to disagree on this one, but still affirm our love for one another and Jesus Christ!😀 As Christians, it’s natural for us all whether Catholic or Protestant to ask others to pray for us. If we know they are praying people, we ask our friends or even strangers to “pray for us”! When I was younger, I knew that my grandmother was a prayerful person and very spiritual. I would ask her to pray for me - ALL the time! This is the way I see my devotion to Mary, the Mother of God. Because I know that she is close to our Lord (she was his mother afterall), I ask her to pray for me to our Lord (to intervene) not unlike the way I asked my grandmother to intervene. As Dr. Pitre has said in other posts, in Jewish times, the mother of the king was called the Queen. I pray to the Queen Mother to intervene and appeal to her Son! Anyway, just wanted to share how I think about this. May the peace of Christ be with you all!

Horizontal intercession (as in 'please, pray for me') is only between living humans, not the living and the dead. Vertical intercession (as in 'Our Father, Who art in heaven, please forgive me') is only between Christ and living humans. Whatever you think of Mary ('theotokos', 'queen of heaven', etc.), she is dead. She can't intercede for you.

You are correct that the body dies, but the spirit and soul live on. Billy Graham, in his preaching, would often say your you can kill the body, but the soul will live forever either in heaven or hell. This why for example, suicide is not the end of the story. The bodies of the saints have died, you are correct, we don’t pray to their physical bodies we pray to their spirits which are very much alive! And so with Mary, although I will leave it to the theologians to discuss whether because she was without stain, her body and soul were taken up to Heaven? I appreciate the discussion and wishing you the peace of Christ during these challenging times!😀

@@foolfether Thank you! Although the Catholics mean well, they are sadly mistaken in the role they've given to Mary that was never hers. The other poster is correct in that the soul never dies. @@blazinga1200 I think Catholics and Orthodox make the same categorical mistake: they equate the archetype and it's manifestations. The archetype is the Virgin; some of it's manifestations are Israel (as the ancient people brought out of Egypt), Mary (mother of Jesus) and the Church (as the chosen people, both Jews and Gentiles). These are the things that were made clear to me by the Holy Scripture: 1. GOD is a jealous God, He doesn't want to share His Glory, and He is the same God in the Old and in the New Testament 2. Christ is our High Priest; we don't need to go to anybody else to reach God for Christ Himself said, I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER BUT THROUGH ME. 3. The Lord Jesus so graciously displayed His great mercy on the cross to a wretched man --- when the thief repented of his sins, when he called Jesus his Lord and when he asked Jesus to remember him, a thief who has no chance to do any good works or any chance to pray, just humbly asked the Messiah for salvation, was granted that precious gift of salvation

This is why i don’t think it’s Mary. I feel The answers are in Daniel, Genesis, Isaiah, and Ezekiel etc. It’s also helpful to remember the exegetical placement of John’s intention with revelation. John is an exiled well read apostle of the tanakh on a guarded island whose outgoing letters are censored. To read Revelation extremely literally, or plainly would be a mistake. Please Keep that in mind here. in the OT, the imagery of the sun, moon, and stars refers to the nation of Israel. Joseph said, “I have had still another dream; and behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me” (Gen. 37:9). Osborne writes, “In Jewish literature ‘twelve stars’ often refers to the twelve patriarchs or the twelve tribes.” the Bible frequently uses the imagery of a woman to refer to Israel, Zion, or Jerusalem. Paul writes, “The Jerusalem above is free; she is our mother” (Gal. 4:26). Jeremiah writes, “Surely, as a woman treacherously departs from her lover, so you have dealt treacherously with Me, O house of Israel” (Jer. 3:20; c.f. Isa. 54:1-6; Ezek. 16:8-14; Hos. 2:19-20; Micah 4:9-10). the image of being protected by eagle’s wings refers to Israel. In Exodus 19:4, we read, “You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to Myself.” This seems to fit with the language in Revelation 12:14, where we read, “The two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished.” the Woman is protected in the wilderness for 1,260 days. This fits with the prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27, which is directed to Israel (“your people and your holy city”). This iteration of 3.5 years is mentioned five times through this section of Revelation (Rev. 11:2; 11:3; 12:6; 12:14; 13:5). Clearly, this time span of three and a half years must be important to the author. This seems to fit with Neros persecution, where the beast is in power (Dan. 9:26-27). Daniel 12 predicted that Michael would rise up at this time to protect Israel-not the Church (Dan. 12:1). Daniel writes, “Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued” (Daniel 12:1). We see a fulfillment of this, when John writes, “There was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war” (Rev. 12:7). Jesus is said to rule the nations with a rod of iron. In Revelation 19:15, we read, “From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron.” Thus the man-child of verse 5 must be Jesus-not the Church. So, good news here. This is already happened. This was the conflict where Rome destroyed Jerusalem. This is a good thing. This allowed the church to fully exist with the gentiles within the seven churches of revelation and Rome thus cutting off the Jews by means of their destruction. This is a loving criticism, not a damning anger lashing outburst. Revelation within itself shows you history fulfilled, and how the church continued after Jerusalem fell but you can’t know that unless you read the entire Tanakh.

So when did Mary flee into the wilderness for 1,260 days per Rev. 12:5?
@alfray107211 ай бұрын
Mary, Baby Jesus and Joseph (holy family) fled to the wilderness (Egyptian desert) to escape the persecution of Israel's King Herod. Woman means FEMALE PERSON, not a country/kingdom/nation that got destroyed 2000 years ago for rejecting the Son of God Lord Jesus! How can a kingdom called i_srael soaked in wickedness and evil birthed The Son of God Lord Jesus? REV 12 is a clear description of the battle between the woman who brought forth The Messiah King Jesus (Mary) and the dragon (devil) by John by witnessing Mary as the Ark of the Covenant of the NT (REV 11:19) revealing itself as the Queen Mother of heaven (crowned with 12 stars) battling the dragon in REV 12 in the end times. This war was foreshadowed in the Old Testament in GEN 3:15 when God gave enmity between the woman (Mary) and the serpent (devil) meaning they are in perpetual battle eternally because Mary is the mother of the Lord God, the NT Gebirah, all mothers of the Davidic kings of Israel were rightfully called "Queen Mothers". The queenship in heaven is in PSALM 45:9 SIRACH 24. This is why Mary is the queen crowned with 12 stars seen by John in Revelation 12. Mary is the WOMAN of Revelation because she was always addressed as a woman / lady by his Son Jesus (JOHN 2; JOHN 19-25-29), Gnyai in the original Greek, a title of respect given to her office. GALATIANS 4:4-5 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent his Son, made of a WOMAN, made under the law: 5 That he might redeem them who were under the law: that we might receive the adoption of sons.

They are nuts. Mary was married, but this woman was alone and tempted, not knowing God had a plan for her! Did you see the part where it said the EARTH helped the woman by opening its mouth? There, you can see she got help from people who assisted her with God's plan and purpose!

The woman is in heaven and she is crowned before the birth of Jesus. Show me how Mary was glorified before the birth of Jesus. Mary is nothing when it comes to our salvation. She is not the mother of the church and she has no advantage over any of us in being saved. Gal 4:26 But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother. Mark 3:31-35 “Then Jesus’ mother and his brothers came. Standing outside, they sent word to him, to summon him. 32 A crowd was sitting around him and they said to him, “Look, your mother and your brothers are outside looking for you.” 33 He answered them and said, “Who are my mother and my brothers?” 34 And looking at those who were sitting around him in a circle, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! 35 For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.” NET

In one Catholic teaching Mary was exempt from pain at childbirth because she was immaculate, and in Rev. 12 the woman identified with Mary was in pain and cried out in her pangs of birth. Is this woman in Rev. 12 the same Mary?
@alfray107211 ай бұрын
Mary did not experience any physical pain in birthing Christ, but emotional/mental pain (tormented/anguish) or "Odinousa kai basanizomene in the original Greek (REV 12:2). And pain already existed with our without original sin, pain was only intensified in GEN 3:16 when Adam and Eve fell from grace. Whose womb did Christ came from ? THAT IS MARY read REV 12 v5; LUKE 1; ISA 7:14. GREEK INTERLINEAR BIBLE: REV 12:2 kai en gastri echousa krazei Odinousa kai basanizomenE AND IN BELLY HAVING she-IS-CRYING PAINING / TRAVAILING AND BEING-ORDEALED / Being-tormented 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and Pained to be delivered. Mary suffered birth pangs (labor pains) means a sudden sharp pain or painful emotion. Not physical and it is used metaphorically all over scripture including to men. Revelation is an apocalyptic literature unique to the 1st century. It contains varied symbolism and multiple meanings of the woman (Mary, the Church and I-s-r-a-el). The birth pangs describe both the birth of the Church and Mary's offspring being formed in Christ. Mary had no birth pains in delivering her only Son Jesus because Mary is the Immaculate Conception. Word describing woman "in anguish" (basanizomene) in REV 12:2 is never used in Old or NT to describe actual physical birth pains, it refers to torment/sorrow in general. So it may refer to something other than normal physical birth pains. (birth pains are his death, his birth and ascension refer to his resurrection.) If REV 12:5 is the metaphorical birth of Christ's death/resurrection, it is another clear link between REV 12 and JOHN 19. So passion/resurrection=sorrow/joy of birth process in REV 12. ISA 66:7 - for example, we see Isaiah prophesying that before she (Mary) was in labor she gave birth; before her pain came upon her she was delivered of a son (Jesus). This is a Marian prophecy of the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. [ ISA 66:7 BEFORE she travailed, she brought forth; BEFORE her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. ] ISA 66:7-10 shows Zion's labor pains, bringing forth children and rejoicing. ISA 26:17-21 Sorrow, then joy with the imagery of the dead rising. This solidifies the link between JOHN 19 and Revelations 12. GAL 4:19 - Paul also describes his pain as birth pangs in forming the disciples in Christ. Birth pangs describe formation in Christ. [ GAL 4:19 - My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, ] ROM 8:22 - also, Paul says the whole creation has been groaning in travail before the coming of Christ. We are all undergoing birth pangs because we are being reborn into Jesus Christ. [ ROM. 8:22 "For we know that every creature groaneth and travaileth in pain, even till now."] JER 13:21 - Jeremiah describes the birth pangs of Israel, like a woman in travail. Birth pangs are usually used metaphorically in Scriptures. HOS. 13:12-13 - Ephraim is also described as travailing in childbirth for his sins. Again, birth pangs are used metaphorically. [ HOS. 13:12-13 "The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up, his sin is hidden. The sorrows of a woman in labour snail come upon him, he is an unwise son: for now he shall not stand in the breach of the children." (Ephraim is also described as travailing in childbirth for his sins. Again, birth pangs are used metaphorically.) ] MICAH 4:9-10 - Micah also describes Jerusalem as being seized by birth pangs like a woman in travail. [ MIC 4:9-10 "Now, why art thou drawn together with grief? Hast thou no king in thee, or is thy counsellor perished, because sorrow hath taken thee as a woman in labour? Be in pain and labour, O daughter of Sion, as a woman that bringeth forth: for now shalt thou go out of the city, and shalt dwell in the country, and shalt come even to Babylon, there thou shalt be delivered: there the Lord will redeem thee out of the hand of thy enemies." (Micah also describes Jerusalem as being seized by birth pangs like a woman in travail.) ] REV 12:13-16 - in these verses, we see that the devil still seeks to destroy the woman even after the Savior is born. This proves Mary is a danger to satan, even after the birth of Christ. This is because God has given her the power to intercede for us, and we should invoke her assistance in our spiritual lives. Birth imagery is used to describe the resurrection: (1 COR 15:20, 36; COL 1:18; ACTS 13:33; JOHN 12:24, 16, 16:20-21; REV 1:5). Birth pang imagery equals Christ's sufferings at cavalry: shown in JOHN 16:20-21, and Acts 2:24. The gospel John depicts Mary becoming the mother of the beloved disciple in ways that evoke Lady Zion giving birth to the messianic people. (JOHN 16:20-21; Is. 27:17-18; Is. 66:7-14). The quotations also show men having birthing pains showing that this does not necessarily mean what one would first assume it means. Holy Tradition and Holy Scripture tells us that our Blessed Mother was conceived without original sin and was immaculate. Thus also through the writings of the Church Fathers we know that Mary did not suffer from birthing pangs in same light that one experiences in real childbirth. REV 12 is not a contradiction of ISA 66:7, and the Immaculate Conception.

Both Jesus and Mary never died. They were assumed into heaven. It is hardest to follow along when one says this image is Mary as Revelation is of a time to come. Mary is already in heaven with Jesus separated from her. Else, it has to be assumed he returned to his mother's womb for this. But what is possible? Is the verse misinterpreted on purpose? If so, what exactly is the revelation for the sheep?

Hello Phume Mdlui. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. This was part of God's plan and his sacrificial death was required to fulfill God's perfect plan to save us. There is a mountain of historical evidence of Christ's torture and crucifixion (death). Christ resurrected, revealed himself (thousands of witnesses including his disciples), and went to Heaven. Mary was a human woman (Blessed and above most for sure! Amen) and died and was buried. No where in the bible does it suggest that she was anything other than human. Mary had other children besides Jesus. Thus Jesus had brothers. This is clearly stated in the New Testament. Jesus was her first born and she was a virgin and it was an immaculate conception, true. The bible doesn't suggest Mary didn't die or that she was "assumed" into heaven. This is a false and heretical doctrine with no evidence. I'm sorry to report this to you. Please read your bible and lean on God's word and pray for understanding. You can learn more when you remove the tradition of man from between God and you. God bless you! :) I am a former Catholic and wow, what a blessing to remove the man-made traditions of the Papacy, and to connect directly with Jesus. It's all right there. Amen.

@Read Your Bible You have that right . according to a Catholic website. not according to the scriptures . It is always according to traditions . The catholics are always fabricating stories about Mary . Mary is in the grave . her spirit is in heaven with other spirits and there is not one above the other they are all one in Christ There is very little said about Mary in the Gospels and one time in Acts 1 : 14 ; She her name is never mention in the letters to the Churches Rev . 12 is not talking about mary . Mary was not the Arc and only in the minds of biblical ignorant catholic who have been been deceived by satan in to believing she should be honor and worshiped . You do worship her in prayer and saying she draws people to Christ that is worship . Rev, 12 : Mary was not on John`s mind when he wrote Rev . 12 she had been dead 1000+ years when he wrote Rev. Rev. 12: 17. is still talking about the remnant , the same remnant as verse 6 : and Rev, 7 : 4 ; You need to stay out of Rev. because you have no idea what the spiritual truth of Rev. is . Rev 13 ;1 ; Is not talking about the remnant or Israel It is talking about the beast . Daniel 7 : 26; and the beast here is talked about in 2 Thess. 2 : 4 ; I am glad you said something about Isiah 10 : 20 . that is what Rev 12 is all about Christ was born to the tribe of Juda to the root of David his father . Jacob who is called Is Israel , so the woman is Israel and the stars are the 12 tribes of Israel which are the remnant .

Queen of Heaven is a title post of the devil Read Jeremiah - 44:17-27 And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men? Then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had given him that answer, saying, The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it not into his mind? So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day. Jeremiah 44 Don't believe the antichrist (Pope) All the lies and blasphemy comes from vatican (Rome) Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When He speaketh a lie, He speaketh of his own: for He is a liar, and the father of it. @@alexchristopher221 Thank you for your kind invitation. I did take time to read your article. On the David-Jesus and the Bathsheba-Mary parallels there are important differences. 1. Predictive prophecy vs. allegory- Prophetic genre (2 Sam.7) tells us Messiah will be king and the gospels explicitly identify Jesus as this son of David. 2. See also Ezekiel 34-The future Great Shepherd is David. Explicit identification of Jesus/David. Equivalent would be an OT vetse like"... the mother of Messiah is Bathsheba." 3. The monarchy was established by God. Why is there no queen mother for the first king, Saul or his successor David? 4. The kings were anointed by male prophets or their predecessors without mention of 'maternal guarantors'. 5. On your suggestion that Bath. knew of Adonijah's treachery. There's nothing of that in the text. The family had been reconciled and there's no hint that Adonijah was not fully restored to a place of trust. If Bath. is just playing along with Adonijah's game then it is quite a risk. If she had succeeded, even her future was in jeopardy. New king= new queen mother; Adonijah was the Son of Haggith. 6. I will make a comment on your article. Please study Song of Solomon 3.11. The crown his mother gives him is a crown for his wedding, not the royal or ruling crown that you imply in your article.

Notice below how and why Satan seems to be doing everything he can to prevent us from following Jesus’ example of honoring Mary. Jeremiah 7:18 “The children gather wood, their fathers light the fire, and the women knead dough to make cakes for the queen of heaven, while libations are poured out to strange gods” Jeremiah 44:17 “…we will burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out libations to her” Offering sacrifice such as the cakes mentioned above or the burning of incense are forms of worship. And Jeremiah rightly condemned all idolatry, including the worship of the false Queen of Heaven Ishtar. And the Catholic Church clearly condemns the worship of Mary. False Queen of Heaven Ishtar The queen Jeremiah was referring to is identified as the Assyro-Babylonian Ishtar [Greek: Ἀστάρτη, “Astártē”], goddess of fertility (cf. 1 Sm 31:10; 1 Kgs 11:5, 2 Kgs 21:3-7). Cakes shaped like stars (Ishtar was identified with the planet Venus) were offered in her honor. [From notes in NAB] We must remember that Satan was present and witnessed the curse and prophesy of Genesis 3:15 Genesis 3:15 “I [God] will put enmity between you [Satan] and the woman, and between your offspring and hers” Satan knew that the Woman of this prophesy would oppose him completely (by the grace of God) and be his biggest opponent among human beings. (Jesus is a Divine Being with a human nature.) So, it should not be surprising that Satan, who is the father of lies, John 8:44, would want to set up a false Queen of Heaven to confuse people so that they didn’t recognize Mary as the true Queen of Heaven. A Counterfeit Points to the Existence of an Original A counterfeit offers testimony or evidence that there is an original from which it was made. A counterfeit $50 bill suggests that somewhere there really is an actual legitimate $50 bill. Conversely, no one makes a counterfeit USA $3 bill for the same reason (except for my cousin Earnest who is doing 10 to 20 years behind bars at Sing Sing. I told him not to bleach those $5 bills.) Satan no doubt delights in the proliferation of the belief in so many false gods. These false gods do not in any way disprove the existence of the One True God. On the contrary, while they do not give absolute proof that there is a True God they tend to suggest that there is a True One from which they where copied and distorted. I think one of Satan's plans is that he knows many people will be overwhelmed with all the false gods and all the false versions of Christianity that they will give up searching for the true one. Similarly, from a false Queen of Heaven we can deduce that there is a good chance that there is a true Queen of Heaven. Does the fact that some Old Testament Queen Mothers were immoral mean that this title is inappropriate for Jesus’ Mother? Solomon is the “son of David” and he acted very immorally. See 1 Kings 11 below. Yet, Jesus redeems that title and is honored as the “Son of David.” And, Mary is a venerable Queen Mother, the Queen of Heaven. 1 Kings 11:1-13 “King Solomon loved many foreign women besides the daughter of Pharaoh (Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites), from nations with which the LORD had forbidden the Israelites to intermarry, “because,” he said, “they will turn your hearts to their gods.” ... He had 700 wives of princely rank and 300 concubines, and his wives turned his heart. When Solomon was old his wives had turned his heart to strange gods, and his heart was not entirely with the LORD, his God, as the heart of his father David had been. By adoring Astarte, the goddess of the Sidonians, and Milcom, the idol of the Ammonites, Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD ... He did the same for all his foreign wives who burned incense and sacrificed to their gods.” The highest form of honor, adoration (Latin “latria”) is given to God alone. The Catholic Church has always, and will always teach this. For example, the Catholic Church refuted the Collyridians in the fourth century because they did adore Mary. If someone professes to give this highest honor to Mary, they sadly cannot become a Catholic until they repent of this most serious error. If a Catholic falls into this most serious error, despite the Catholic Church’s strict prohibition against it, he must fully repent before he can enter into heaven. There are lesser forms of honor that God requires us to give to others. He commands us to honor our parents in Matthew 19:19. The Catholic Church uses the Latin term “dulia” to distinguish this lesser form of honor from the highest honor which is given to God alone, “latria,” or adoration. Mary has a special role among the Saints so the special honor given to her is called “hyperdulia” (hyper + dulia = more of the same.) The honor given to Mary is greater in degree, but it still is of the same kind as that given to the other saints. Because Mary is a finite creature who was saved by Jesus Christ the type of honor given to her is fundamentally different than the type of honor, “latria,” that is owed to the infinite Creator. When interpreting the various titles and prayers to Mary they must always be interpreted within the context of the more fundamental teachings of the Catholic Church about Jesus Christ. Vatican II, Lumen Gentium, paragraphs 60 and 62 “Mary’s function as mother of men in no way obscures or diminishes this unique mediation of Christ, but rather shows its power. But the Blessed Virgin’s salutary influence on men originates not in any inner necessity but in the disposition of God. It flows forth from the superabundance of the merits of Christ, rests on his mediation, depends entirely on it and draws all its power from it. It does not hinder in any way the immediate union of the faithful with Christ but on the contrary fosters it. … “Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked by the Church under the titles of Advocate, Auxiliatrix, Adjutrix, and Mediatrix. This, however, is to be so understood that it neither takes away from nor adds anything to the dignity and efficaciousness of Christ the one Mediator. “For no creature could ever be counted as equal with the Incarnate Word and Redeemer. Just as the priesthood of Christ is shared in various ways both by the ministers and by the faithful, and as the one goodness of God is really communicated in different ways to His creatures, so also the unique mediation of the Redeemer does not exclude but rather gives rise to a manifold cooperation which is but a sharing in this one source.” Also see CCC 970

Jesus said: When ye pray, USE NOT VAIN REPETITIONS as the heathen do for they think they will be heard for their much speaking. (Matt. 6:7) But praying the rosary IS vain repetition by saying the exact same prayers over and over again. The rosary begins Hail Mary full of Grace… But the bible reads: Jesus was the ONLY begotten of the Father full of grace and truth John 1:14). Now if Jesus is the only begotten full of grace, how can Mary also be full of grace? The Hail Mary is also a corruption of God’s word in Luke. It DOESN’T say FULL of Grace, it DOESN'T say holy Mary, it DOESN’T say Mother of God nor does it read: Pray for us! In the bible Jesus said: COME UNTO ME" He NEVER said go to Mary and If you had ever read and STUDIED the word of God in the bible instead of the catechism, you'd know that Jesus never gave Mary the time of day in public. Not one time did he EVER even call her mother, NOT ONCE! Jesus ALWAYS called her WOMAN. Even when he was dying on the cross he called Mary WOMAN! Jesus was born of a Virgin, Yes, BUT, Mary later gave birth to at least six other children in the bible. The bible gives us the names of Jesus four half-brothers and also mentions his sisters. (Matt 13:55) Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James and Joses, and Simon and Judas? And his sisters, are they not ALL with us? (Matt. 13:55,56). And they weren’t Joseph’s kids from a so-called prior marriage. There’s absolutely NO mention of this in the bible at all. And Psalm 69 which Jesus quotes as a prophecy about Himself reads. I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien to my MOTHER’S children. (Psalm 69:8). The very next verse is quoted in John 2:17: The zeal for thine house hath eaten me up. Mary also lost Jesus when He was 12 for three full days. Mighty careless of her wasn't it? (Luke 2:39-50). How could Mary not know where that miracle that she had given birth to was for three full days? But it certainly might make sense if maybe James, Joses & Simon were toddlers. She has another year old brother or sister she's watching and maybe Mary's breastfeeding an infant. That certainly could explain Mary's carelessness? When Jesus was told your Mother and brothers are outside and want to see you, He left them outside. He didn't even let His mother or brothers in the house or go out to see them. Talk about disrespecting Mary! Instead, Jesus spread His hands toward His disciples and said whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven is my brother and sister AND MOTHER! (Matt. 12:46-50) And that story is repeated in THREE different gospels. Mary also said that SHE needed a savior. (Luke 1:47). When a woman cried out saying blessed is the womb which bore you and the breasts on which you nursed, referring to Mary, Jesus replied: RATHER, blessed are those who hear the word of God and do it! (Luke 11:27) Roman Catholics are biblically illiterate! It wasn't until the 5th century that a bunch of biblically illiterate brainless monks began praying to Mary. They wanted a female deity like the pagans had and Mary fit the bill. Jesus was born of a virgin, YES, absolutely, but after that the bible reads: Joseph did not know her (have relations or sex with her) UNTIL after she had given birth. (Matthew 1:25) If you don't do something UNTIL a certain time, it means that you DO do it at that time! The bible also reads that there is ONE God and ONE mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. If there is ONE mediator, the perfect mediator that died and shed His blood on the cross for US sinners, why would ANYONE need another? Is Mary considered a saint? The bible reads: Behold, he putteth NO trust in his saints; yea the heavens are not clean in his sight. (Job 15:15). JESUS was also called Mary’s FIRSTBORN son (Matt 1:25 and Luke 2:7). When Paul went to Jerusalem he said he saw James, the LORD’S BROTHER (Galatians 1:19) It was James that presided over the council at Jerusalem. And James also made the final decision, which is funny considering Peter was there. Why wasn’t Peter the one to make the final decision if he was the first so-called pope? Paul, Barnabas and Peter put in their two cents, but it was James, the Lord’s brother who made the final decision. (Acts 15:6-23). The bible reads over and over again that ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. It NEVER makes an exception for Mary or FOR anyone else but Jesus Christ. When Mary said “They have no wine”, Jesus rebuked her! He said: WOMAN, what have I to do with thee? Mine hour is not yet come. (John 2:4) Throughout the bible Jesus made it very clear by both His words and actions that he didn’t want ANYONE praying to or going to Mary. Again, Jesus said: Come unto ME! He NEVER said go and pray to my mother. When the men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. And when the queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. Mary herself shall also rise up in the judgment and she shall condemn it also for praying to her instead of going to her adorable son Jesus Christ who was the one and ONLY ONE who died for us and for our sins on the cross. The bible commands us all to: STUDY to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Tim 2:15). If you don't study the word of God for yourself, you'll be ashamed before God at the judgment. I was a Catholic. I prayed the rosary. My mother’s sister was a nun and my family goes back as Roman Catholic over 3 centuries on both sides. But I believe in the word and WORDS of God. Don't put your salvation in someone else's hands like biblically illiterate priests. How many times at mass have any priests read you THESE verses from the word of God? As an ex-Catholic I know I never did till I read & STUDIED them for myself. Read and study the bible for yourself. Make no mistake about it, your eternal soul depends upon it.

The Hail Mary prayer stems from two passages in the gospel of Luke. The first one, found in Luke 1:28, says, “Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!” This was mentioned by the angel Gabriel when she greeted Mary. The second passage can be found in Luke 1:42, and it says, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!” These words were said by Elizabeth when she visited Mary and greeted her. We say "Mother of God" because she is the mother of Jesus, and Jesus is God.

Vain repetitions is different from repetitions. Our Lord does not condemn the practice of praying in public assemblies (Luke 18:10); the words here are hyperbolic. He does not condemn the practice in praying in the streets. He condemns the practice of deliberately striking a pious attitude for public notice. Matthew 26:44 Jesus prayed a third time, saying the same thing again. Luke 18:13 Collector kept beating his breast and praying be merciful to me a sinner. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing. Revelation 4:8 Repeat day and night, "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord". [ Repetitious Prayer. ] 1 Kings 18:25-29 Example of vain repetition: call Baal for hours. Matthew 6:7 Do not babble like pagans with their many words.

Exactly. Like Joseph dream In Genesis 37:9 9 Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. “Listen,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” The dream meant his brothers, mom, and dad will bow down to him.He mentioned 11 because with him its 12. They are the 12 tribes of Israel. Revelations 12 is Israel not Mary 🤦♀️

Woman means FEMALE PERSON, not a country/kingdom/nation that got destroyed 2000 years ago for rejecting the Son of God Lord Jesus! How can a kingdom called i_srael soaked in wickedness and evil birthed The Son of God Lord Jesus? Again, you are basically posting false heretical views.

The actual claim that Mary is the woman of Revelation 12 is found in the Munificentissimus Deus by Pope Paul XII on November 1, 1950, and it primarily deals with her assumption. The Ineffabilis Deus by Pope Pius IX on December 8, 1954 deals with Mary's immaculate conception. Both of these are dogmas (writing which are to be infallibly true, approved by the magisterium as binding), like their other sacred writing are considered doctrine. However, these two works are elevated higher than mere dogmas, as they are considered ex cathedra; they are the only two writing in the 2000 years which are considered ex cathedria. This means that the Pope used his apostolic authority, supposedly given by Jesus to Peter, and the line of Popes to 'invoke' the Holy Spirit for divine revelation. So all their other works are the understanding of man, but these are inspired by God. If you know your bible, this is a problem because all inspiration of the scripture is by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Munificentissimus Deus also claims, in section (21), "It was fitting that the spouse, whom the Father had taken to himself, should live in the divine mansions;" in section (25) "out of filial love for his mother, Jesus Christ has willed that she be assumed into heaven;" in section (40) she might be taken up body and soul to the glory of heaven where, as Queen, she sits in splendor at the right hand of her Son, the immortal King of the Ages;" in section (33) "The likeness between God's Mother and her divine Son, in the way of the nobility and dignity of body and of soul - a likeness that forbids us to think of the heavenly Queen as being separated from the heavenly King - makes it entirely imperative that Mary should be only where Christ is;" and in section (35) Moreover, it is reasonable and fitting that not only the soul and body of a man, but also the soul and body of a woman should have obtained heavenly glory." So they are actually saying that out of Jesus' love for his mother, He assumed her into heaven to sit as His Spiritual and eternal spouse, as Queen of the universe at His right side. There are more contradictory and blasphemous saying in both of these documents. I've written an article outlining all the claims against the holy scriptures, which can be found at www.ishinewithglory.com/daily-bible-study/is-mary-the-woman-in-revelation-12 .

The last verse in Revelation 12 confirms the woman is Mary Vs 17. 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman (MARY), and went to make war with the remnant of her seed (JESUS), which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Her seed (JESUS who is sinless and the ONLY one) who keeps the commandments of God. This is the prophecy made in Gen 3:15 thousands of years before Apostle John's vision

In Revelation chapter 12, John sees a vision of a woman "clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars" (Revelation 12:1). Note the similarity between this description and the description that Joseph gave of his father Jacob (Israel) and his mother and their children (Genesis 37:9-11). The twelve stars refer to the twelve tribes of Israel. So the woman in Revelation 12 is Israel. Additional evidence for this interpretation is that Revelation 12:2-5 speaks of the woman being with child and giving birth. While it is true that Mary gave birth to Jesus, it is also true that Jesus, the son of David from the tribe of Judah, came from Israel. In a sense, Israel gave birth-or brought forth-Christ Jesus. Verse 5 says that the woman’s child was "a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne." Clearly, this is describing Jesus. Jesus ascended to heaven (Acts 1:9-11) and will one day establish His kingdom on earth (Revelation 20:4-6), and He will rule it with perfect judgment (the “rod of iron”; see Psalm 2:7-9). The woman’s flight into the wilderness for 1,260 days refers to the future time called the Great Tribulation. Twelve hundred, sixty days is 42 months (of 30 days each), which is the same as 3 1/2 years. Halfway through the Tribulation period, the Beast (the Antichrist) will set an image of himself up in the temple that will be built in Jerusalem. This is the abomination that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:14. When the Beast does this, he breaks the peace pact he had made with Israel, and the nation has to flee for safety-possibly to Petra (also see Matthew 24; Daniel 9:27). This escape of the Jews is pictured as the woman fleeing into the wilderness. Revelation 12:12-17 speaks of how the devil will make war against Israel, trying to destroy her (Satan knows his time is short, relatively speaking-see Revelation 20:1-3, 10). It also reveals that God will protect Israel in the wilderness. Revelation 12:14 says Israel will be protected from the devil for "a time, times, and half a time (“a time” = 1 year; “times” = 2 years; “half a time” = one-half year; in other words, 3 1/2 years).

Sorry, but the woman in REV 12 is Mary first and foremost because she is the mother of the Lord God Jesus. The woman described by John is Mary (REV 12:5), she brought forth the Messiah King, she is seen as the NT Gebirah/Queen Mother of heaven and the Ark in heaven in REV 11:19 because Mary carried the Lord God in the NT. 2ND Mary is hated by the devil and in perpetual battle because God gave enmity between the woman (Mary) and the serpent (devil) in GEN 3:15, and this big battle was seen by John in REV 12 were Mary (woman) and the dragon (devil) is fighting in the end times. 3rD Mary, Jesus and Joseph was exiled to the wilderness (desert) of Egypt to escape persecution by King Herod (enemy). 4TH Israel is not a woman, it is a kingdom/country that was destroyed 2000 years ago for rejecting the Son of God Jesus, it is a kingdom that has a history of disobedient to God since the OT.

Most of chapter 12 is the tribes of Israel. You can’t infer queen of heaven and then have her run to the wilderness being chased by a flood. @@alfray1072 In Revelation 12, some of the symbols are very clear, while others are not. The “red dragon” is no doubt Satan. John explicitly tells us that “the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan” (v.9; c.f. v.12). In addition, he wages war with Michael-the archangel-in heaven (v.7). Moreover, he is colored red, because he is drenched in the blood of believers (similar to the red horse of Revelation 6:4). He has a crown on his head (Rev. 12:3), as the current prince or ruler of the Earth (Jn. 12:31; 14:30; 16:11; Eph. 2:2; 2 Cor. 4:4). While the dragon imagery is clear, who is the woman whom he persecutes? Three primary answers are typically offered: Israel? Premillennial interpreters argue that the woman is the nation of Israel. Advocates of this interpretation make a number of observations about the woman: First, in the OT, the imagery of the sun, moon, and stars refers to the nation of Israel. Joseph said, “I have had still another dream; and behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me” (Gen. 37:9). Osborne writes, “In Jewish literature ‘twelve stars’ often refers to the twelve patriarchs or the twelve tribes.”[1] Second, the Bible frequently uses the imagery of a woman to refer to Israel, Zion, or Jerusalem. Third, in the OT, the image of being protected by eagle’s wings refers to Israel. In Exodus 19:4, we read, “You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to Myself.” This seems to fit with the language in Revelation 12:14, where we read, “The two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished.” Fourth, the Woman is protected in the wilderness for 1,260 days. This seems to fit with half of the seven years, where the Antichrist will be in power (Dan. 9:26-27). Fifth, Daniel 12 predicted that Michael would rise up at this time to protect Israel-not the Church (Dan. 12:7). Sixth, Jesus is said to rule the nations with a rod of iron. In Revelation 19:15, we read, “From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron.” Thus the man-child of verse 5 must be Jesus-not the Church. Mary? Roman Catholic interpreters argue that the woman here is Mary, Jesus’ mother.[2] Advocates of this interpretation argue that the woman is referred to in the singular (Rev. 12:5, 17). If the nation of Israel or the Church were really in view, then why is this woman just a singular person? Also, the most natural and straightforward reading would be to think of this as Jesus’ mother, Mary. Of course, critics of this view make a number of counter arguments: First, this is symbolic language, and it shouldn’t be read rigidly. Since we are reading apocalyptic literature, we shouldn’t place too much weight on the fact that this is spoken of as a singular woman. Second, when did the 1,260 days of nourishment occur in Mary’s life, as the text explains (vv.6, 14)? This time frame, which is mentioned five times in the text (Rev. 11:2; 11:3; 12:6; 12:14; 13:5), seems to fit best with Daniel’s vision of the 70th seven in Daniel 9:27 (as argued above). Third, when was Mary persecuted so intensely? John writes, “When the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child” (v.13). Roman Catholic interpreters usually identify this with Mary seeing Jesus crucified in front of her. But this doesn’t seem to fit the language of Revelation 12. Fourth, Roman Catholics believe that Mary was a perpetual virgin-not giving birth to more children. While the Bible affirms that Mary had more children (Mt. 1:25; 12:46-47; 13:55; Mk. 6:2-3; Jn. 2:12; Acts 1:14; 1 Cor. 9:4-5; Gal. 1:19), Roman Catholics argue that this Greek word for “brothers” (adelphos) should actually be translated cousins. While NT scholars disagree with this view,[3] this precludes Mary from being the woman from a Roman Catholic perspective. If Mary remained a perpetual virgin, then who are “the rest of her children” mentioned at the end of the chapter? (Rev. 12:17) The Church? Amillennial and historical premillennial interpreters argue that the woman here is the Church. Advocates of this interpretation argue that the NT authors call the Church a woman (2 Cor. 11:2; Eph. 5:25-27, 32; 2 Jn. 1, 5; 3 Jn. 9), and the early church fathers call the Church a woman as well (Hermas 5.1.1-2).[4] Moreover, Revelation 2:26-27 promises the church of Thyratira that they would reign with Christ with a rod of iron, as in verse 5 (“She gave birth to a son… who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron”). However, this expression is also directed at Jesus specifically (Rev. 19:15), as was argued above. Moreover, this interpretation puts the amillennial interpreter in the awkward position of believing that the Church gave birth to Christ! Can we really hold to such a view? Surely this puts the cart before the horse! Additionally, if the woman is the Church, then who are “the rest of her children” (v.17) mentioned later? To salvage this view, some argue that this was “ideal Israel” or “faithful Israel,” the believing remnant of Jews.[5] The “rest of her children” would refer to believers in the new covenant. There are a few problems with this view as well. For one, this is quite a concession. It admits that the woman is ethnic Israel-not believers in the Church Age. Moreover, the arrival of the Messiah had nothing whatsoever to do with the faithfulness of Israel. Indeed, some of the most unfaithful Israelites were the ancestors of Jesus. The coming of the Messiah wasn’t contingent on the faithfulness of the Israelites either. Others argue that the male-child is actually the church that gave birth to more believers in Christ (v.17). However, this would negate the earlier argument that the Church is referred to as a woman. That is, here, the Church would be referred to as a man (i.e. a male-child; v.5), which doesn’t seem to fit any known biblical imagery for the Church. Conclusion For the reasons listed above, John holds to the first view that the Woman is Israel, giving birth to the Messiah, and showing back up in the final tribulation at the end of human history.

Israel is the birthplace of Jesus in whom he was rejected, falsely accused and killed - FACT, not a woman, just like Jacob who is male, not a woman. Again, the woman who brought forth Jesus is MARY! Please stop denying the importance and role of Mary, the mother of the Lord God Jesus in the salvation of humanity. If you say the dragon is satan, the male child who will rule all the nations in the world that ascended to heaven is Jesus, then definitely the woman who brought forth Jesus The Messiah King is MARY! Stop posting your anti Catholic bias via cancel protestant culture. 2ND, Israel can never be glorified in heaven because it is a kingdom that rejected The Son of God Jesus and all the prophets in the OT. It is the synagogue of satan (REV 2:9; REV 3:9). Their father is of the devil (JOHN 8:44). Rev 12 is about Mary, the church and Israel. But, first and foremost it is about Mary because Mary is the one who gave birth to the Messiah-King. That is very clear. No other woman gave birth to Jesus than Mary of Nazareth, The Virgin. This is common sense. it is not Israel only. The church is also the bride of God. The Lord Jesus is married to the church His bride. Mary also is considered in mystical theology as spouse of God’s Spirit because she offered her body to be consecrated to the Will of God for the birth of the Son of God. Rev 12 states that the woman is the the mother of Jesus. Rev 12:5 the woman gave birth to the King of the nations. That is Jesus and the one who gave birth to Him is Mary. No more, no less. Israel and the church are mother of Jesus only figuratively and mystically. 2nd The figures that appear in Revelation 12 are the same as those that appear in the proto-gospel of Genesis. Genesis 3:15. "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel." Satan is both the Serpent of Genesis, and the Dragon of Revelation. Jesus is the "seed" who will crush the serpent in Genesis, and the child who will rule with a rod of iron in Revelation. In both, He and His mother, the Woman, are at permanent enmity with the serpent. The Woman of Genesis 3 and Revelation 12 is the same. However no one suggests that the woman of Genesis 3 is Israel 3rd Revelation 12 verse 17 is a confirmation of Mary's spiritual motherhood of all Christians. This motherhood is already made implicit through the fact that Christians share in Mary's motherhood through Jesus, both by being part of Jesus's body, and brethren of Jesus. -- Another interpretation of Revelation 12:17 is this verse tells us that Mary's offspring are those who keep God's commandments and bear testimony to Jesus. This demonstrates, as Catholics have always believed, that Mary is the Mother of all Christians. 4th. The interpretation of the Woman as Israel is contextually wrong. For all the other figures in this passage represent individuals, not ideas or classes of people. The Child is clearly Jesus, the Dragon is clearly Satan, each star swept out of the sky is one of the rebel angels who followed Satan. Later in the passage, we find Michael and his angels, and also the Beast - the Antichrist. The Woman is the only figure in the passage who, according to some, is not the individual stated in the text, but a collective representation. 5th. When Israel, Christians or the Church appear elsewhere in Revelation, they do not appear as personifications. They appear in literal form, as groups of individuals. See Rev 7.4: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel; Rev 7.9: ..a great multitude that no-one could count...; Rev 12.17: ..the rest of her offspring - those who obey God's commandments.... Even where the Church appears as the Bride of Christ, and a female personification would be expected, we do not get one. Instead of appearing as a woman, the Church appears as a City - the new Jerusalem. Rev 21: 9-10. 6th. If there is any doubt as to what a symbolic personage in Revelation might represent, or if a veiled meaning is intended, that meaning is immediately explained in the text. The Lamb is defined as the Lord of Lords, the Dragon is Satan. The Heads of the Beast are Kings. However no such explanation is given with respect to the Woman, underlining that the obvious meaning is the one that is intended. 7th. If we look at the reference to the Sun, Moon and Stars in this passage, the Sun, Moon and stars can indeed be taken to represent Israel. BUT in Revelation the Sun, Moon and Stars are not the subjects of the Vision. They instead form the adornments of the woman. This indicates that although the Woman is linked with Israel, she is quite clearly NOT Israel. 8th. The Woman of Revelation 12 is introduced as a great sign in Heaven. Where else in the bible can we see a Woman announced as a great sign. Look at Isaiah 7:14 "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son." We can see that this is exactly the same sign as in Revelation 12, confirming that the Woman in both occurrences is Mary.

IT’S THE NATION “ISRAEL” Isaiah 26:15-17 Thou hast increased the nation, O Lord, thou hast increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth. Lord, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them. This is not Mary but the Nation of Israel, the covenant people of God. First, in Gen. 3:16, "To the woman He said, 'I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth. In pain you shall bring forth children. Yet your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.'” Notice that part of the curse is pain in childbirth. This is why women suffer during the birth process. So, when we look back to the text of Revelation 12:1-2, we see that the woman clothed with the sun is suffering birth pain. Since the Roman Catholic position is that Mary could not be suffering birth pain (because of her Immaculate Conception and no Original Sin), then these verses cannot be about Mary. Second, this woman is not in heaven but on the Earth as the following verses described: - verse 6 "The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days." - succeeding verses: "13 When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. 14 The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach. 15 Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. 16 But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring-those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus." Jesus is born Jew from the Nation of Israel. All of His disciples are Jews including Paul. The first church was all jews from the day of Pentecost to the next seven years until Paul was called and preached to the gentiles. The christian jews are persecuted by the Dragon throughout its existence until judeo-christianity came to the gentile world but still persecution by the Dragon continued to this day and it will be until Jesus comes again. The Nation of Israel, the woman, was greatly persecuted for almost 2,000 years and were banished from the Land of Israel, scattered throughout the world (verse 16: but the earth helped the woman...), for a time (verse 14) and in 1948 Israel was reborn in one day (Isaiah 66:7-8) and the jews from all over the world are gathered again in the Land. The salvation of all of Israel is coming (Romans 11:26) and as the Apostasy of the Church comes, the man of Sin will soon be revealed and the world shall be one again under the Beast system and ruler- the anti-christ. Jerusalem is the center of the end-time events and the return of Yeshua Hamashiach. Messianic Jews are multiplying greatly in Israel today and it is growing by the day. God bless Israel!

It doesn't say anything about ANYONE being the queen of anything, let alone the Queen of heaven. And it never mentions the name Mary, nor does it mention anyone's name, because it's not about a person, it is about all of Israel. The crown of stars and the Sun and the Moon is a reference to the dream Joseph had about his brothers it identifies the woman as Israel. In Joseph's dream he saw his star and the Sun and the Moon and 11 other stars and those stars and the Sun and the Moon bowed down to his star, meaning that he was greater than his brothers and even his mother and father. The stars and the Sun and the Moon on the woman in Revelation 12 represent the 12 tribes of Israel and identifies the woman as Israel. Israel throughout the Old testament was referred to as the bride of God. The bride of God was to bring forth the Messiah. Now the church is the bride of Christ. All believers in Christ are part of true Israel. Satan tried to destroy the child (Jesus) before he could accomplished his mission, and then tried to destroy his followers. Yes the dragon and the child were individuals and th e passage identifies exactly who they were. The woman was never given a name because it's not talking about Mary or any person it is talking about all of Israel. And it says nothing whatsoever about anyone being the queen of anything let alone the Queen of heaven. And my God how stupid can Catholics be to believe that it's about heaven just because his vision took place in heaven? Joseph's dream also took place in heaven does that mean he's the king of heaven? In his second dream he dreamed that his sheath of wheat stood upright and his brothers sheets of wheat bow down to his. Does this mean he's the king of the wheatfield? The passage is teaching two very simple things there is no hidden message in the passage. #1 Satan tried to stop the Messiah from saving the world by killing him before he was even born. The Messiah succeeded in his mission and now Satan has been kicked out of heaven. #2 now since Satan could not stop the Messiah he has turned his attention to persecute the church. He has been kicked out of heaven so heaven rejoices, but all on Earth should be careful because he is angry and knows that his time is short. THATS IT, THAT IS ALL THAT THIS PASSAGE TEACHES. Even if the passage specifically named the woman is Mary it would have still said nothing whatsoever about her being the queen of anything let alone heaven. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Mary. It has nothing whatsoever to do with anyone being the queen of anything, let alone the Queen of heaven. This is nothing more than the Catholic church trying to justify their idolatry and Mary worship. About one out of every three verses in the book of Revelation harken back to the Old testament. Without diligently studying the Old testament it is nearly impossible to understand the book of Revelation. Most Catholics (many Protestants as well) are nearly biblically illiterate. So it's easy to twist scripture and dupe the gullible into believing a passage teaches something that it does not. And Catholics twist the scripture almost as much as Muslims and Mormons do it's absolutely pathetic. Edited for spelling.

And why would John refer to her as woman whereas he knew Mary well..I think you are not right..this is a prophecy and therefore woman represents maybe a church

If the appostles themselves didn't offer prayers through mary then this is total idolatry..the second commandment in the Bible (not according to catechism) forbids making of images or likeness of anything above,or on earth and not to worship graven images

We all know that apostle John wrote the gospel of John. But in his gospel he refer himself as the one whom Jesus loved. ( John 13/23, 20/2, 21/7) why did he choose to hide his name. Nowhere in John's gospel he mentioned his name directly.. his gospel has many hidden meanings than any other parellel gospels. See how he started the gospel.. he kept a link between genesis and John chapter 1. Likewise his book of Revelation is written in ancient symbolic language to bypass the message to Roman officials and to reach Christians those who are persecuted. To comfort and to give hope. The women he refers to the women in genesis, Protoevangelium. Where Mary life is prophesized by God himself. She is the new Eve. Read the revelation chapter 11/19 onwards.. Also pre Nicene church fathers explain Mary as New Eve.. ( Justin Martyr 150AD, Irenaeus bishop of Lyons 180AD)..Catholic church always see scripture as a whole not as individual verse without connection.. we need to look at larger picture.

@@jamesnganga3818 we don't have all the Apostels- documents with us to conclude your statement on Apostels- didn't pray to Mary.. what we have here is early church fathers and other non canonical documents.. Check the early church fathers like Justin Martyr, Irenaeus of Lyons, St Agustin etc

James, who else gave birth to the Christ child in Revelation 12? I’m a Protestant, but that’s pretty simple math.

Woman means FEMALE PERSON.

Mary was always virgin with only one child Jesus. Aramaic did not have a word for cousins, so brothers is used. If Mary had other children, why would Jesus have given her to John to protect?

The dream in Genesis 37:9 brings to mind another book in the Bible-the very last book, in fact. Take a look at Revelation 12: Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne (verses 1-6). Now, these are the only two places in the Bible with a sign featuring the sun, moon, and twelve stars, and the interpretation is given. In Genesis 37:10, Jacob gave the interpretation because he knew exactly what the sun, the moon, and the stars were-his family. The signs represented Jacob himself, Jacob’s wife (and Joseph’s mother) Rachel, and all of his sons, who would become the heads of the twelve tribes of Israel. It’s all right there, no guessing required.

Jacob is not a woman. The Woman of the Apocalypse 12 is introduced as a great sign in Heaven. Where else in the bible can we see a Woman announced as a great sign. Look at ISAIAH 7:14 "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son." We can see that this is exactly the same sign as in APOCALYPSE 12, confirming that the Woman in both occurrences is Mary.
