Hi, Tom!! This is, for me, really cool. I just love those F&F movies. I recently had an "expedition" through my pile of kits on the loft, just to see what I actually had up there. And, (don't even remember I ever bought this one) I found an unbuilt AMT Xander Cage '67 Pontiac GTO. Think that would team up pretty well to the Charger on the shelf, so if you're interested, I'll be happy to send it to you, free of charge.
@TheScalemodelingChannel7 жыл бұрын
I almost bought that kit years ago after watching the movie again! Very cool car! would not miond building it some day.
@shawnevans586 жыл бұрын
I sure wished you would have built the kit as seen on the movie instead of the stock molds Revell already had from the year before.
@matthewbrown44797 жыл бұрын
I agree, this really isn't acurate but I guess they're releasing a stock kit down the road so that's why the interior is stock. If your going to do some American cars, I suggest the bronco that revell recently came out with. It goes together really well and with some resin rear quarters or fender flares it can make the kit look great
@kylesagun1567 жыл бұрын
A friend of mine got the bronco, he enjoyed it a LOT

Good afternoon Scale modeler, I'm having a great deal of trouble with this latest build I'm doing.I don't know if you've built this kit or not, but I'm sure that you've seen it. It's the yellow Corvette C7.R with all of the decals. Made by Revell.I normally don't have must difficulty with decals. This will be my fourth kit.I always get down to these last two decals ( one on each side ) I then try to apply these decals and ruin them every time. This car has many decals all over it, yet this is the only one that is giving me trouble. And I'm sure that you know that I've tried everything that I know to do ( micro set, micro sol, hair dryer, etc.)One thing that is different about this decal is that it has to be cut. It crosses from the front vent through the door and I don't know if I'm trying to cut it while it is too wet or just what I'm doing wrong.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thx, The MacAttack
@TheScalemodelingChannel7 жыл бұрын
Michael McNeive you have not realy described what exactly os going wrong thoughXD I think the decal is tearing while cutting it? This could indeed be that it is not dry enough, or that the blade is to dull. I would advise to use a new fresh super sharp blade on a dry decal ;)
@McNeive10007 жыл бұрын
So, What do I do?
@TheScalemodelingChannel7 жыл бұрын
Let the decal dry and use a super sharp blade.
@McNeive10007 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot. I really do appreciate the time you've devoted to my problem. I'm sure you having been doing this as many years as you have that you understand what it's like to get a great paint job, a great masking job, and almost all of your decals on and then you keep screwing up in the same place 4 times in a row. I do want to ask you if there is a way to remove the bad decal without removing the paint. And what are those surgical cutters that can be made to fit your X-Acto knife? Thx again, Mac
@TheScalemodelingChannel7 жыл бұрын
Michael McNeive you can apply some decal SOL let it soak in for a couple minutes. Put some masking tape on the decal and rip it off. Repeat untill satisfied. I just use the exacto branded blades

Need some help. I just finished painting a Revell 1969 Dodge Charger R/T and just tried gluing the windows in, but screwed it up. The front windscreen got covered in glue on both the front and the back. I put the glue in on the windscreen shades instead of on the windscreen, so the glue seeped through and now its trashed. The 69 R/T has the same body and windows as the F&F 70. Where did you put the glue in for the front windscreen? I'm lucky that I've got a spare windscreen from a Revell 68 Charger, and don't want to screw it up again.

I wish that I could figure out how to use my X-Acto knife to scribe a line on the lower front windshield of this kit to prepare it for B.M.F. I am a 45yr. precision machinist. I've been using my hands to make small delicate parts all of my life. This is the 3rd kit, and I have yet to get past this initial step. There are 2 shallow scribe lines that I can see but they are so shallow that I can't follow them accurately. I really wished that I knew the proper way to do this.
@TheScalemodelingChannel7 жыл бұрын
+Michael McNeive use the cutting side first to establish a line, than use the back to make it deaper. Also a propper scribing tool makes it a lot easier than using an exacto
@McNeive10007 жыл бұрын
Do you happen to remember which line that you followed, there are 2 lines at the bottom of the front windshield?

The Mac Attach here, I am a beginning modeler and I just finished laying down a two-tone base coat. It turned out pretty good, nice and shiny. My question is this, do I spray a couple of coats of clearcoat now or wait until I get the decals on? Thx, Mac
@TheScalemodelingChannel7 жыл бұрын
+Michael McNeive you could. No problem ;)
@michaelmcneive81827 жыл бұрын
So, I guess that you're telling me that It doesn't matter which way I do it. The only reason that I ask is because I have builders telling me to put the decals on right after I put down a nice base. However other builders tell me to put clear coat on then the decals then more C.C. I know that this is very elementary to you. You've been doing this for years, but I'm new to all of this. I want to know how you do it. Thx,,Mac
@TheScalemodelingChannel7 жыл бұрын
Michael McNeive thats pretty much it. The best result will be if you clear it first. Let that dry for a week. Apply decals and clear again and let it dry again for another week. I personaly am not THAT patiant and with the paint i use it can be done without clearcoating first. With tamiya paints it is better to clear first.
@McNeive10007 жыл бұрын
Thank's a lot Scalemodeler. That's all I wanted to know. I trust you and I like your work. However, I did use Tamiya paints. I don't even know if we can get the paints that you use, here in the state's. Do you know?

I got the same model earlier, and everything he says about it in this video is true! Everything fits nicely, it's very easy to add lots of extra detail if you take your time and do your best work. I've only got the body, bumpers, firewall, engine, and chassis painted and ready to assemble. But I test fitted most of the parts before painting. Let me know if you want me to make a series of it on my channel. Like this comment and subscribe if you want to see how I'm doing it.
