Just keep at it. Minimise glue. Wash and wet sand the body smooth. Warm paint before spraying and oh yeah, take your time amd have fun!!!

i had this car when it came out in '83; first of the "hot hatchback" class, or "pocket rocket", as they were known then. i may just have to build this one; my first model car since i was 12. mine was in Royal Red (LE3B). do you have any advice for matching this color?

Oh, where do you get that glue for the windows that doesn't fog the plastic. I was wondering if you put a coat of pledge on the windows it will keep it from fogging. Do you think white glue will work?

Do you seal every part individually? When I glue two painted parts together, bondage is weak and paint starts to dissolve. Do you avoid this problem by using superglue instead of normal modeling glue? Great build keep up the good work, true eye candy :) -RJ

I indeed resolve this problem by using super glue. Or reming the paint on the glue surfaces when using plastic cement so that it can effect the plastic to bond, and not have the paint as an extra barrier.

It is a combination of both, i scribed them before painting making them a lot deeper, and also addes a wash to darken them.

What scale is this? Also, I was wandering if you were ever interested in for example putting lights in the cars you make. You can have some brilliant surface mount tiny LEDs in all sorts of colours to suit all sorts of ages of vehicles. An arduino could be a good choice... Or even a ESP8266 to make it completely wireless. And to get rid of any charging ports, you could implement a wireless charger in the floor of the car. All very cheap parts as long as you're willing to wait :P
