Who doesn't love seeing a 'villain' getting what's coming to him? Even if they didn't managed it, entertainment value still increases due to Kevin's antics. All in all, it's a win-win situation for entertaining badminton. After all, badminton is a form of entertainment at its core.

If you really wan't to see some unsportsmanlike conduct from Europe. Look at the French players, especially at the team matches. They are yelling very loud on their opponents mistakes, and they have tried *more than once* to celebrate in danish when playing against a danish opponent. Almost all of the French players believe in the "win at all costs" filosofi. Just food for thought
