I can never be against the monster in movies like this. King Kong was kidnapped from his island home and put in chains, for yokels to gawp at; the Gill Man was kidnapped from his private lagoon and stuck in a tank, chained to the bottom, for yokels to gawp at. How would YOU feel if some jerk kept poking at you with an electric cattle prod?
