Rayyan Khan I got that reference. I really loved their first 2 projects the others as I said I think they are not that good, but I can say I really enjoyed Angles by the Strokes as much as the first ones, with Arctic monkeys I think the best one is the first one, and well I like their whole discography (of both bands) but yeah I enjoyed the first and second ones more than the others

Yea the first 2 were amazing though I do like countdown machine but not nearly as much as the first two. The one that I dislike the most is angles. With arctic monkeys, the first two were amazing (specially favorite worse nightmare). Humbug is the album I don’t like as much and am as worst second. I’m not saying those albums are inherently bad, I still enjoy them but both band’s first two albums were their musical prime.

Now this is an ACCURATE guide to the Strokes' sound, I was really impressed. Just one little thing, Albert always plays the stratocaster in the middle position (in fact he has the electronics wired in the same pickup in order to never change the position even if he hits the switcher accidentally). Just a fun fact :)

I just plugged in a Jekyl and Hyde with the OD set to 0, tone to taste and you just play it hard. Instant sound there! I think for the first album it was very minimal. Mostly the Jekyl side of the V1 and distortion side for solos. As it progresses, it’s really down to the magic of two guitar players. I can do cool stuff via multi track and hard stereo pans. But later stuff like that live really needs two guitars imo to nail the full sound.
