My grandfather always carried what he called a dead man. It was a heavy steel bar who would drive into the ground as an anchor point for his winch. I have carried one for years, and luckily only had to use it once. Cheap insurance when there’s no trees.

Great video so far and I'm only 44 minutes in. I had to pause and comment when I saw your son smiling--a true heart warming moment. There is nothing happier than a smiling child nor as beautiful as a smiling woman. God Bless, be safe.

At 9:50 the shot of the mountains in the background was fantastic, completely blew me away and I'm from Nevada. Using the word majestic for that view would be an understatement. Me again, at around 1:12:50 in the rocks so to speak, did you ever worry about those small sharp rocks sticking up I call them tire poppers. Nevada is famous for those little devils.

Hello from Norway. I would like to tell that you are making incredible videos that I rather would call movies with travel depictions in magnificent nature, incredibly good historical updates, the calm and good story teller, and the good editing of the movie. I shoud of course have been a patriot, but it's very long time since I could look at your movies and it's not often I'm able to follow your movies after I was disabled from the corona vaccine, but I would like to send my big thanks to you for this fantastic movie. Thanks.

Regarding the dust on the rear of the vehicle. I’ve used an 18 volt blower for years now. Blowing off the tent or the rear of the truck, even the interior of the tent. My buddies would make fun of me. Now they all carry one. I also run a small air line off of the OBA system to blow the interior from time to time.

Hey y’all When you get to those barb wire fence gates!! The little wood pole that is hanging there with piece of wire on it , just stick it around the gate side post and pull or push with it then hook the top wire back over the post top !! Helps with the tension on the gate 👍👍

The piece of wood that is hanging down wired to the gate is how you tension the gate to put the wire loop over the post . You use it as a leaver it only takes one person to close the gate .

My favorite part was your Idaho journey as some of the roads are familiar in the Lemhi Mts. Overlanding tip of the decade....spend $15.00 on a full length shovel from Lowes or Home Depot to use when you really have to move some material. Besides moving over ten times the material compared to those cute little folding shovels for the same effort, it will protect your back to keep you from actually injuring yourself during an epic journey such as this. Beautifully done job on the cinematography!!
@RevereOverland11 ай бұрын
