Might be because it’s a tundra and not a Tacoma or a wrangler or a LR . I’m guessing the fanboys might be a reason , not sure . But the channel is very high quality . Maybe not as much humor, I think that’s what it’s missing.

I have family that still raise cattle at the Cant and Mascall ranches near Dayville. Stunning landscape and a historic treasure. Great job in showing these remote areas of Oregon.

Ahh, the joys of Mormon Crickets. In northern Nevada, we see a heavy migration every 5-7 yrs. Love your drone work!

Best overland channel there is! I appreciate the focus on the places and the journey over the meals personally :). I'm also a chef and seeing people half-hazardously hack away at vegetables like their amazon knives have built in saw-stops is very stressful sometimes 😬

I thought you were referring the the crickets being crushed! 🤣. They’re katydids but referred to as Mormon crickets locally. It very common this time of year to see millions of them on back roads. They’re cannibals and will clean the road up after you run them over.

We took a LC 200, Rubicon and built-out Tacoma down that narrow trail into Three Forks Hot Spring and river crossing. Its super sketchy and wonderful ! Great video.

So glad you enjoyed Eastern Oregon. We love it here, especially the drive up to Wallowa Lake from LA Grande. The mountain range is known in the area as the little Alps.

We tried to git to the top of Steens MT in mid June 2021... but got snow and had to keep moving before the snow cleared.. hoping to make it back and visit the top. Enjoyed the video and route you took.

A big part of over landing for our group is the camping and the cooking. We plan our routes and enjoy the views along the way but the magic happens at camp over food.

My husband and I go there, from Vancouver every other year! There are excellent trails to play on, in a Raptor, without having to keep heading farther south to Nevada, or California etc. Oregon surprised us! Kudos for not making half your video about cooking your meal lol. Most of us are here to see locations and 4x4s! Tbh lol. I like seeing what people cook up, BUT not for half or most of a video lol

I believe the bugs were the Mormon Cricket. When I first moved to Idaho back in the early 80's, that year was an infestation of the giant grasshoppers that are like 3 inches long, have wings so they jump and fly short distance. Couldn't take a step without crunching one under foot. Awesome trip, I love Oregon's beauty and landscape diversity.

There were a bunch of grasshoppers close to Bend too! I talked to a guy and he said he pulls them from the front of his truck and uses them for fishing bait.

@@RevereOverland Western Colorado is where I live now. The Grand Mesa, Colorado National Monument, the Uncompahgre Plateau, Escalante/Gateway Back Country, and the Marvine Wilderness areas are a great place to tour.

Cooking over-the-top camp meals is one of my favorite things about camping. It feels like you're "cheating the system" by having such an awesome meal in such a beautiful place. I say go for extravagance in your camp meals if that's your thing.
