Ah, that's cool. The same side lapel entry is kinda similar to an Ashi guruma type entry, I'll have to try that.

Yes, it uses the same pivot step often used for ashi-guruma and sode-tsurikomi-goshi.

Can you make a complete basics video and combine all your wonderful videos as a complete course? Id love to have a physical copy and learn at my own with a judo dummy at home

We've created a basics playlist that brings together all our basic principles videos. We also have playlists for the specific technqiue series. We've tried to create the type of structured content you'd get from a DVD while providing it all for free here. But the reality is if we were to create a full DVD style course, it would require a much more structure approach to do it justice.

Here, you grab with your left hand in Ukes left lapel. Why don`t you leave your left hand in Ukes right lapel? Does it make a difference?

You can throw using two hands on the lapel - but the arm around the back offers tori a lot of control over uke compared to just holding onto the lapel.
