One of my trades is IT and my main computer is 12 years old. Sometimes it's just bricked, the BIOS tries to reflash itself and corrupts itself after power outages. Patience and a half dozen reboots fixes it. Good as new. Not related to tech, well.. took the mask off this morning and said what I really thought to people around me, big oops. Keeping that thing wears on ya, yknow? I suppose the point is that oftentimes these things require profound buckets of patience.

We are still recording deaths and hospitalizations from covid in Hawaii. Two friends of mine had it. The latest "Flirt" variant is more like an intense head cold.

@@GreenGardenGuy1 I was referring to filtering what we say, not the respiratory masks. I'm not surprised that covid is still going.
@GreenGardenGuy13 ай бұрын
@@mountain-man0 I haven't worn a mask for a long time but I filter what I say daily. Even inside the house let alone in public. Speech is communication but so is thought. I try to consider my thoughts before solidifying them. They effect our reality.

I had a washing machine that quit working after a power outage, nothing would get it to respond, ordered the new one and the old one started working fine. Now I have a spare washer.

Blue lake pole beans, the only variety of string beans I’ll grow!
@GreenGardenGuy13 ай бұрын
Sadly my favorite type doesn't want to grow in Hawaii. The French came up with a bean years back called Fortex. It is the finest quality of any bean I've ever grown. Look for it, you won't be disappointed.

@@GreenGardenGuy1 yes, I’ve heard of it, but nothing else. I’ll order some next season and compare. Thanks Bill! 🤙🏽

@@molassescricket6663 You won't believe. I'd grown it for about 40 years and people I shared with were always taken back. It was sad that Hawaii is no good for the bean.

@@GreenGardenGuy1 sorry to hear that Bill. What’s your alternative? On a different note I’ve got a question on a different subject, I don’t know if you can answer, but I don’t really know the answer myself. This afternoon I went out to get peaches off one of my trees. Later this afternoon I noticed an insect trap. Upon inspection it apparently was placed there by Napa county ag department. The tree is behind a fence on my property. Can the county ag department just walk through a gate onto my property, go up into the tree and attach a trap? I live in a residential neighborhood. If they had asked I wouldn’t have minded, but I feel like they violated my privacy and trespassed.
@GreenGardenGuy13 ай бұрын
@@molassescricket6663 They usually inform the home owners so the traps are not disturbed. They used to do this to me in CA. I have no idea what the legality is of the county trapping bugs in our trees. Since there is no harm done and it is public service I condone the practice. I've had some pretty good conversations with county agents when they collected the traps.

There is the possibility that your solar system is having syncing problems when connecting to the grid. Micro misalignments might send glitches to the computer chips causing failures. The rain gage - IDK
@GreenGardenGuy13 ай бұрын
The weather station is wireless but off line. The rain funnel had crud in it but took a while to come back. The laptop is possible. Sometimes when the grid fails things in the house have issues in the transition.

So my cell phone stopped charging. Tried everything including a new battery. Nothing worked. In fact, having it on the charger depleted it. Got down to 40% so I thought I'd better save that charge for the next day. (Ordered a new phone). I always put it in an old microwave at night as a faraday cage. Next morning it was at THREE %. So I put it on the charger and PRAYED it would charge a bit. Drained it down to zero. Well, I thought that was it and gotta wait for the new phone to arrive. Next day, again spending the night in the faraday cage at Zero, I turned it on for sh*ts and giggles and it showed EIGHTY % charge. GO FIGURE.

Probably a similar issue to our laptop. Poor charger contact.

Do you have your weather station registered with the weather underground network?
@GreenGardenGuy13 ай бұрын
No, it's private. It is wireless but I intentionally bought the unit that is off line. All I needed was one more way for someone to hack the house.

my fridge does that for some unknown reason , it blows the house fuse , then i have to shut power for bout 15 mins , then power everything back on and it purrs like a kitten and keeps the ole beer cold. Now , my 2006 corolla is possessed with the check engine light , its goes on and off

Just had the engine light come on and stay on in Chrysler. It was the forward O2 sensor. $65 in parts later, things are fine.
