This tutorial was "sew" interesting. Loved it. You are a good teacher.

Thank you for showing how to change yarns and how to finish a cowl. I am half way through my first cowl and this will come in so handy!!

Thanks again, Joanne's Very lovely cowl, I'll knit this for my daughter-in-law for Christmas. I have yarns available right now with the same textures, but both are white. What do think of this combination? What is the best color with the knitted rows, with white in the purl rows? Joannes, thank you.

+redredwine1277 For this winter, Gray and white are wonderful and very elegant. Or Red and white for a happy one!.

What kind of yarn are you using
@JoannesWeb4 жыл бұрын
A mix. Acrylic and one I found at Tuesday Morning that has Nylon.

Love the cowl, and thank you for posting it. I have one question, though: How long was the cord on the circular needles? When I make a cowl using much thicker yarn knitted in a seed stitch, I use a 16 inch cord, but yours looks longer. Thanks!
@JoannesWeb8 жыл бұрын
It really doesn't matter, as long as the stitches fit on the cord and go around.

Does it matter what yarn you use
@JoannesWeb4 жыл бұрын
No, it doesn't. Just make sure if you blend yarns, that they are washable the same way. Acrylic and Wool wash differently.

Can you still do this without knitting in the round?
@JoannesWeb10 жыл бұрын
Yes you can. Knit it on straight needles and then sew the sides together. Be well.
