I think he just uses a deadstock shoe and camera cuts to market the product better lol i mean deoxidizing does work but on a sole that's booger yellow like that, they will only improve so much since deep oxidation like that has a semi permanent coloring effect on the sole, ive done a pair like that for 14, 24 hr sessions (2 weeks) under 2000 watt uv light and didn't look factory fresh perfect as pictured.

Apply tire dressing on soles/rubbers and you prevent the oxidation (yellowing). That same yellowing is why tire dressing was created.

The majority rubber you’re referring to gets refined and mixed to look translucent. If you didn’t bother to ask a specialist how did you arrive at your conclusion?

@@soletosole actually it did work, at the time I did my tuxedo 11 lows. I used a outdoor setup with the sun. You have to be careful with the heat of the sun, you can put ice packs inside the shoe to help with offsetting the heat of direct sun. I did have to apply more than one session for myself. You do have to be careful with the pods cause you can take away the traction from poor application.

@@huncho8343 2 sessions (3hrs per session) keep in mind that my soles weren’t too heavily oxidized but the product works and as a result I bought a UV lamp for future uses for overnight sessions on my shoes that are heavily oxidized because I was concerned about sole separation from the sun. ✊🏾💯

@@huncho8343 I bought a UVC large capacity portable bag its big enough for a size 15 shoe but unfortunately it can’t hold two at the same time( I didn’t realize it before buying 🤦🏾‍♂️) but the good news is that you can make a UV lamp box out of a shoe box and it’ll save you time and most importantly money for sure! Id recommend a UV light bulb from Lowe’s or Home Depot because some say they’re UV bulbs/lamps but they’re really just black lights

6ix set unfortunately there is no cure to prevent oxidation. We need oxygen to survive and unfortunately it also causes rust and yellowing over time.

@@FabesSole I was more so saying, that when you buy a new pair of shoes, as opposed to fixing oxidized shoes.... a new pair of shoes can take years to oxidize as opposed to repairing oxidized shoes to new condition- they yellow again within weeks. Stuff works. First time restoring and my boy sent me some concords. They're a lot more yellow than these in the video. Rn I'm doing sunlight and uv light. On my 3rd session working wonders. Maybe 40 hrs total it'll be iced out again. Would def recommend this sole sauce. One I don't gotta prep like crazy and worry about color fade. Only made for mid sole and soles. Use gloves though. The best thing to do if you rlly want the best results is to buy a uv light. You can put them in there whenever and leave it running for hours without needing to babysit them.

Id recommend just removing the soles and icing them that way and just re cement them once you're satisfied. Youll def need a uv box setup and 24 hr sessions for actual practicality. The sun isnt practical to get significant iceyness and is really only good for easy removal of the soles from its heat since that's what you want for best outcome.

RawyadigBeatz that’s just sole burn. It happens on some soles. But it goes away on its own in about an hour or so. Nothing to worry about there. Even with the sole burn, you can move onto the next session. It will still be effective.

Just pulled my 72-10s out of storage and the one shoe that wasn’t double wrapped in paper has a slight yellow discoloration 🤯 sucks because they are noticeably different….guessing it’s because the one not wrapped in the paper was exposed to more air. Soles becoming brittle and cracking is mainly due to age and poor storage conditions. Rubber Soles require oxygen and can dry out and crack if stored improperly.

Joe Kyser the main source of the heat comes directly from the sunlights rays beaming down onto the soles. But you do not have to worry about the surface temperature of the soles reaching above 125F on a cold day. Just be sure to monitor it just in case.

I wouldnt even bother doing that to my shoes if my pair was in that condition. I have all kinds of shoes that people cant believe are a few years old

Point was to show his product/method works, despite age or damage to the shoe. Yellowing (oxidation) happens to icy soles regardless if used or deadstock (brand new).

@@Arcilios I just dont wear them when it rains or snows so they stay icy. You gotta be a lil more careful then your everyday shoe but imo it's worth it to have a fresh sole.

hey so i used just a high voltage light i found in my basement and it whitened the toe cap on my 3s really good u think it’ll do the same for soles of 11s? thanks
