I wrote a paper highlighting the need for an autonomous naloxone administration device that can detect respiratory and cardiovascular depression before failure and it’s now being tested by the MIT researchers I sent it to

I can email you pictures of it, it’s called the role of wearable smart tech to combat drug related overdoses in Scotland: a case for autonomous naloxone administration, I made photos of prototypes and so on, it highlights the fact that’s there are over 1700 in Scotland on the tag or home detention scheme while 1200 last year died from what I believe are preventable deaths if we employed this technology, by integrating it into current treatment methods as 90% of those who died are on opioid replacement therapy and I also have responses from the Scottish health secretary basically dismissing it with a generic email stating the Scottish government has allocated 230 million to current treatments that aren’t doing anything to reverse the trend and Scotland remains the drug death capital of Europe 3x higher than anywhere else and we sometimes are the highest in the world, this could have been implemented for 200k instead I gave the idea away for free to many US institutions including MIT who seen the potential straight away, imagine the political impact a party would have got if it brought Scotland from the highest drug dealt heats in the world to the lowest or one of the lowest in a single year? Well they could have, I literally spelled out how to do it and even started to think it was a stupid idea but now it’s actually happening I can’t wait to see it land here probably at the cost of hundreds of millions, they could have probably had it next to nothing or the cost of a cheap phone

Well you should quit you're job. You realize you that some addicts are very wealthy and or come from a very wealthy background and they and or their families donate hundreds of millions to you're hospitals just for this reason.
@deadcarz4926Ай бұрын
@@ghostcasper3185 Why should I quit my job? I help people everyday. Name SOME wealthy donors, and to which hospitals? In my 13 years of working in several hospitals, no-one has ever mentioned one? These addicts will O.D., one last time. Meanwhile, we and the E.R. waste our time, repeatedly.

You can know if you’re getting fentanyl with test strips for it from your local health department or from your health care provider if you have any skepticism.

They give this stuff out for free at my junior college health center which I think is a wonderful thing. They also give fentanyl tests too.

Hi, I’ve been a paramedic for 33 years. Fentanyl, in the hands of a trained professional is safe and effective for the management of pain of many types. I have had more than a few patients who could benefit from Fentanyl refused to have it administered. Next, Narcan’s purpose is to get an overdose victim breathing again, not to wake them up.

No advice to parents tell your kids to don’t do drugs at all and test them , it’s not the time to be doing opioids because fent is cheaper and more profitable so what you think is going to be sold

“Unless it’s from a doctor you just can’t trust it” But yet they still fail to come to the next and really only logical and sane conclusion to such a situation. ie LEGALIZE ALL DRUGS! So crazy the cognitive dissonance/ mental gymnastics people go through to truly believe they live in the most free country on earth, that has more people in prison (almost entirely for low level non-violent drug or drug related crimes) than the next 10 combined.

Thank you for highlighting the issues w drug supply. Wish you had talked to the harm reduction community first and maybe you’ll consider a follow up. There are statistics showing that multiple doses of naloxone are not necessary but that naloxone and supplemental oxygen are often enough. And how do you do a piece like this and not direct people to where they can access naloxone. Most major drug stores and now Amazon carry the intranasal and any local syringe service provider can give it for free.

Sounds like he had his real parents issues. Too bad he took whatever pill he took with fentanyl when he tried to buy Xanax bars. Kinda shoots holes in this story, a pillhead. She said “stupid mistake”, I’d say that about her and her husbands appearance. This story is trying to bring fentanyl awareness, but if kids are druggies and have their parents convinced he’s good then it’s kinda the child’s fault. Tragic, but wake up.
