I just turned 40 and I have stage 4 terminal cancer. I feel oddly similar to Bryan but like I’m the other side of the coin in this reality. Like a branch on the timeline. In this reality I am still married, have a daughter, have not left my religion, am not crazy wealthy... and have been told I have 6-12 months to live. Yet we both have come to a similar point of living. Death is inevitable, yet I still am pushing myself to live forever. My original diagnosis was almost two years ago. At the time it seemed I would have months to live and wouldn’t survive the chemo nor qualify for surgery, but my doctors said if I was willing to try they would too. I defied the odds survived, got the surgery and was “cancer free”. 3 months later the cancer came back. Again 6-12 months. We’re coming up on 12 months in September. I fully intend on living past that. Sure I’m beat up, skinny, sick from chemo, using a feeding tube for most of my calories, but I’m still here. it’s just interesting how similar our lives were at some point and then they branched in totally different directions but still ended up with similar but completely different mindsets.

As someone who is battling cancer, what are the best words of encouragement or support someone can give you? I feel like "you got this" "stay strong" etc. are all meaningless, given the severity of the situation. Thank-you!

This literally is a life or death decision but I really love the saying „it’s less about the years you live but the life in these years“. A long life is only useful if there’s meaning behind it, people you love close to you and a world worth living in.

So one year I forgot how old I was numerically. My birthday came by and my kids reminded me I was a year younger than I thought. I realized then that living is more about rhythm than time. I’m 66. 75 doesn’t feel that far off. I’ve got way more exploring to do… loving to do. Be your own version of Bryan. Great video as always.

I am 66 years old and have had a progressive muscle disease for 10 years. At first I didn't notice it much, but now my walking is a lot worse and I have a lot of pain. Yet I am very positive and adapt to my options at that moment. I am an artist and still paint. My disease also causes my blood pressure to be higher and my arteries to be 50% clogged. I cannot tolerate statins, so I started eating vegan and walking a lot. My doctor says I can live another 10 years but I don't believe that. So by living healthy and being positive I am going to prove that I can easily live to be 95 years old. I think that's a good age. Eternal life doesn't seem like anything to me. I'm not afraid of death.

The point is not to NOT DIE. The point is to live out your purpose, live with meaning and in the pursuit of TRUTH. This physical life is a tiny blip on the scale of eternity, and we are immortal beings. Imagine giving up your religion, whatever it might be, your understanding of where you will spend the rest of eternity, in exchange for being happy in this short physical life.

That's so cool. I've been following Bryan Johnson for a long time and I've been following you for a long time. Brian is someone it seems like most don't see what he's trying to do and what he's trying to say I think what he is doing is very very important and there is a future possible reality where we look back at him as some sort of founding father. It's really cool to see you too together would love to see more of it. Also just for the record if you look into it basically all the bad stuff about him is completely wrong. Great video my only complaint is I wish it was longer. Y'all have a good one. Love one Dan post. also 280. It does cost a lot of money though.

Interesting vid, Dan. To answer your question, I would choose to live to be 254 ( I think that's the number you threw out), but ONLY if those I love and care about the most can live that long as well. Like you, I can't imagine a life where my son does not exist in it, so if something were to happen where he was no longer here, I would not be interested in tomorrow in the least. Hope that makes sense, and thanks for sharing!

What a fascinating specimen Bryan is. We need people like him! I'm personally trying to live until age 150. I quit alcohol 10 years ago, have never smoked anything, never touch pharma or v4x. Workout multiple times a week & force myself to spend 2 hours minimum in nature a day. I'm sure there's more i can do. I don't take any of these magical suppliments or do any of the expensive things in this video but i'm doing my best with what i have early in life to try slow down the aging process. Thanks for the video Dan!

It is a poor life indeed if everything is centered around not dying. Living in constant fear of death limits the richness and depth of our experiences, trapping us in a perpetual state of anxiety and caution. Such a life, consumed by the avoidance of death, leaves little room for true joy, freedom, and fulfillment. In stark contrast for me, embracing a faith in Jesus offers profound relief and liberation. With faith in Him, we are reassured of a life beyond this temporal existence, granting us the courage to live fully and authentically. The promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ replaces fear with hope, enabling us to approach each day with a sense of peace and purpose. This faith transforms our perspective, allowing us to appreciate the present and find meaning beyond the mere act of surviving.

I'm age 61, and over the last couple of years have been highly influenced by Bryan Johnson in terms of diet (not vegan, but otherwise highly optimised), exercise and sleep. I'm not sold on the hundred pills a day - or the other wacky stuff. I don't know how this will ultimately impact my lifespan at this point, but it clearly won't hurt. More to the point, I want to remain active, curious, working and involved for decades to come, and there's no doubt that great health with strength and fitness makes that very much more likely. I actively enjoy being stronger and fitter now than I was, so whether it leads to longer life or not, it's still a huge win.

So definitely living till I am 75 but enjoy life to the fullest. Plus if no one dies very shortly (if not already) earth will not keep up. I respect what he is trying to do but I think life is more about connection you make and experiences and also your mistakes. Also I would prefer dying at 75 but still super healthy (hence still need to care for my body the best way I can) than die at 100 but not really living to the fullest any longer.

I can't wait to see if it works on Bryan (as I look in from the non physical). How awesome if we could get to his life time-lapse cam and see how long he lived. And better yet, how long at what level quality of life. Did he at all experience the usual age related decline? But sadly, we won't know for another 30 years.
