I like the Explorer too but it is not a very safe car in a wreck and has none of the safety tech that the Denali has. For lugging kids, I couldn't bring myself to get the Ford. It is also a lot sloppier in its construction tbh. An example would be if you don't get the captains chairs, only one side of the middle row slides. Hopefully they'll clean that crap up when it gets updated next year or the year after.

The leg room in these is insane in the first row. I'm 6'2", in most vehicles I have to have the driver's seat all the way back to be comfortable. In this thing I can barely reach the pedals and wheel with the seat back. It's awesome!

Everyone keeps knocking GMC for making the Acadia smaller but they fail to realize that the last acadia was far too big for the segment therefore had an entry price of 33k when everyone elses entry price was 28-29k. Because the previous size they were not able to offer a 4 cylinder as well. Also they can seat 7 except for the denali because it uses captian chairs. Also the overall performance has increased due to the weight savings. I'm glad he pointed out the handling. It's great for an SUV.

This car is so much better then the old one in every way possible! But, due to the downsizing this car has been selling less, and one of the main reasons why it sold so well, was due to the large size without going to a minivan. Not everyone has 50K to spend on a Yukon to get that large of a size, where the Acadia was only 32K. Now, you can still get the large size on the Acadia, but its the 1st gen, which is super outdated. So in all, if the Acadia was as big as the 1st gen, but with the updated parts on the 2nd gen, it would be one of the best selling cars, and i can almost bet that. Great car, but GMC messed up making it smaller.

All-Terrain model is exclusive on to itself with two row seating and two row of under floor storage and butterscotch color leather seats. You cannot get this configuration in other trim levels even that of the Denali does not offer two and two!

Nice review! Better then the Range Rover Sport Autobiography in terms of interior quality and looks! Plus, it about a third of the cost too! "It one of the best out there!". Sound insulation is lacking in the Acadia however, as you can tell in windy days show in this video!

I have a 2015 GMC acadia denali - has HUD, lighted sill plates, mechanical folding outside mirrors. Wood accent steering wheel. This Denali does not have the bells and whistles yet the price is pretty high

310hp V6 with variable valve timing and under 4100lbs... Shit...thing is probly actually quick..makes 30 more HP then my 95 V8 Mark viii and it's a 6 that's impressive

I test drove a SLT1 for over an hour and my passenger and I were very uncomfortable. The seats as if there was a bar under me that was the cause of our discomfort. I had a similar experience with a Camry on a 200+ mile trip, but that feeling of sitting on a narrow bar was less of an issue on the Camry. I couldn't drive an Acadia for more than thirty minutes at a time.

Perhaps they make the seats differently between the two trims? I'm 6"4" 260 and the SLT1 in specific wouldn't work for driving more than 30 minutes.

soulis1000 if you know how to take care of your interior and don't abuse it too much it doesn't get all that dirty. However I prefer dark interiors as well. I'm from the USA.

When driving did you notice the rpm wanted to hold at the top for a couple seconds before it shifted? I have a 2016 Acadia and I tend to notice it to happen. Not a bad thing just annoying in my opinion.
