My tip, don’t listen to anybody who just tells you to buy the car they want. Plus, if you want the JCW instead of the “Pure”, then buy it! Nobody knows you finances and it’s annoying for some reviewer to tell you how to spend your money. The JCW has about 75 more hp then the “S”...it’s slightly over 300 hp just like BMW. All the Audi, Mercedes and BMW hot hatches are just as expensive or more. Mini is now a BMW! Be yourself, do your research and buy what you want.

They have become little BMWs (front-wheel drive ones!), and don't drive like Minis anymore, due to steering wheel feeling and kerb weight. Yes, I am aware that the 95% of the buyers don't care about how their car will drive, and it's fine. But the JCW versions lose their purpose, and so the Cooper S. A Cooper is more than enough for the customers this car is designed for.

Seems like everyone is judging a beauty contest. Get a VW Golf R if you want a hot hatch that doesn’t look like the new Batmobiles!
