Brands like Mercedes seem to have cooler designs back in the 30s-60s but now they look like basic vehicles. I recently saw an expensive sports car and it looked like an ordinary car that is a few thousand cheaper. The Mercedes 770 itself looks smart and beautiful. I'm glad these things are still collectable.

I bought the open version. Agree, the quality not the best. But once it parked on display - it looks okay. I parked it in the back.

At the moment only a lot of vax. I am not repainting yet as I am too scared to do so.

Fact you should know: The car was made because 1940 N.germany forced mercedes to make cars for them It was a V.I.P Car NAD_Zs used

The convertible is a parade car, they made several of them for the Nazis, this one has the same exact shade of gray-blue leather inside that Hitler's own parade car had, and the same thick bulletproof glass, but it is not Hitlers own parade car, which had other details unique to it. It was very bulletproof and very heavy. The front passenger seat was raised, and Hitler sat on that seat.

The one large light at the back of the cabriolet is to blind drivers following too close to the very important person car.

Signatures has real quality control failures and they go prices at auctions that doesn't deserve. I'm always watching auctions but not bidding. :) And some ebay sellers doesn't care at all. In fact, they have to seal a 18th scale car very strictly. Aliexpress sellers are far way better when it comes to care. And yes, I too prefer to pay for a CMC $1000. Not comparable to any other and true collection value. There's a MCG version for G4 but not worth to write about.

They only look good from the side...face on they are completely out of proportion. ...far too low to the ground....lights too high up....wheels too wide apart....just a mess
