A little retcon Fireproof did, on the second game it shows that AS died waiting for you (he let himself died technically bcs he could live dozens of lifetimes with the null sample extending his life), but in the third game, it's implied that his soul was trapped by the Craftsman

I was so lucky, got all 4 games for £9 on Steam yesterday! I am near the end of the 3rd game and I love them so far.

Another thing that was an improvement with the second game and onwards was the option to chose different languages
