I have the steel version of the Boss hammer and like it a lot for concrete wall form work. The head design works well for flipping dogs on forms.

The face nail pullers are better in some ways than the Stiletto side puller in that it gives three different mechanical advantage options. Short to the side. longer rock it on the striking face and longest rocking on the claws. The same as the original Douglas design. It is also 16" long for layout.

That metal hammer looks very handy. Plus iam a framer and I would like to know I'd they have 24 ounces with 16 inches markabke straight line 45°, with the claws a lil deep in a metal hammer ?

I got a BOSS about a year ago. Got the 12oz with the wood handle. Just broke the handle for the second time. It's been a good hammer. Best thing about it is carrying it on my tool belt. Weighs nothing. I really liked the idea of the speed square built in but I have literally never actually used it. Just a gimmick. If I'm going to need a speed square I'm just going to use a speed square. Thinking about getting an all metal hammer. Might try this one out. Might get a Martinez. Used to have wooden Stiletto and loved it but I ain't buying another one cause they're made in china now.

You could actually do a layout with that square on the bottom of the hammerhead because it’s an inch and a half

I’m sure it’ll be pretty sweet for rough framing. You could easily get good enough at finding your mark and making good cuts with this.

I collect hammers and I have to say the best hammer I use today is a wooden handled Stilleto, I will see if they are sold in the uk 🇬🇧

You know you could do layouts with that titanium hammer that the squared thing under a hammerhead is inch and a half you could actually make layouts move it move it over market and the layout

I have had a cheap husky hammer for years and just realized it has the nail start magnet on top. My thumb and pointer finger were pissed

XD Hahaha I saw a framer use it to walk on a roof to place toe boards. Slap on a nail and pins it in the 2x4 and keep walking. Most badass thing I’ve seen. Never thought of the use till then. Dont really use as a roofer but definitely a neat and easy feature. Still live my estwing though.

I been framing last two weeks. Finishing out the underside of a house built 10ft high on pylons. I do remodels and go start to finish. I haven't driven a nail yet. Who hammers nails? WHo are you people? Do people who own $300 hammers drive nails? No, those people own 10 nail guns like a do. I did break my handle last week though beating the hell outta 2x4's and pulling nails. OK, I do drive roofing nails rather often. Installing windows. I'll put some button caps on too. I'll tarp a roof from time to time and the button caps get beat in. Sometimes I'll hammer a siding nail. That's about it. NEVER hammer 3.5 or 2.25" nails.

Maybe I should do a review of the hammer since I actually own one 🤣 and have owned it for about a year now as my daily. I own the pro series full titanium.

I do really like the hammer, It was certainly a change from a 24oz to 16oz, the hexagonal head is good and bad at same time certainly times it’s way better than a round especially nailing close to a wall etc. but can catch you out at certain angles in tight spots but nothing a nail punch doesn’t solve. Don’t really use the squaring function 😅 but it’s accurate enough tested it a few times, I carry two squares in my belt so kinda makes it redundant. Pretty well balanced, the 13mm on the bottom gets more use than square and it’s quite handy. Got the black coated one, but took the coating off the face days after I bought it and polished it to a mirror finish looked great now is just silver and dirty on the face 🤣. But titanium I’ve found even polished doesn’t seem to slip like steel on steel does. Wouldn’t recommend if doing a lot of concrete work swap back to steel for that as it handles carpentry well but isn’t what I consider an all purpose hammer. Not sure how it compares to the competition, is a nice looking, functional bashing tool 🤣

Just wondering if you found any issues with the grip on the hammer loosening around the handle?

Thanks for this review! Hard for new hammer co. To come out. Don’t have the history of the others. Martenez seems to be the only one to be able to make hammers and not get completely shit on. But even then people that don’t know he created stiletto still go after him for Martinez products 🤷‍♂️ people will complain about everything I guess. Hope more people get their hands on this. I’m getting the mail puller now. Looks like the old Martinez one but they don’t make it rn so boss it is.

You missed one feature. Just above the rubber handle there is a notch on the handle at the 45 degree angle that is for a quick 45 degree of you put the notch against the board. Instead of pivoting on the claw. Again it will will get you close if framing

A hammer is a hammer that's what it's used for they don't need to throw a bunch of gimmicks on it for more money really enjoy my titanium from the day they came out.

Not the best review . Literally all you did was just explaining the obvious . Zero feedback on performance on different surfaces, the reverb in the handle, impact strength, didn't drive any actual nails fully , no adequate nail removal with any part , no comparison to other hammers , this video is for a grade 5 carpentry class .
