It's easily my favorite digital watch. I think I might like the older 1000 model more but that's only because I like older watches. This D1000 easily beats the older model purely based on the functions and feature sets.

Being a bigger guy. This watch would definitely be on my wrist. I wear 40mm watches but sometimes I just need to go big and this is big. I don't think I'd use all the functionality of this watch but that's not why I personally wear watches. I just love to wear watches. Anyway, great review! Cheers!

I completely agree. For my lifestyle I can use a phone or various other tools to give me accurate time. The watch is there to give me an 'X-Factor' component that you can't quantify on paper. People ask me, "why do you need so many watches", and my only response is "Need? Who said anything about need?"

I'm glad someone noticed the music! Once I filmed the footage of the Frogman in the rain and lighting I knew I had to have that as the background music. I'm cursed with these tree trunk wrists so I love me a large watch😁

Definitely like the frogman and it reminds me of the mud master and vintage mud man its a superior watch full of features ruggedness style that is timeless but unfortunately the price is beyond my reach financially im just taking my time to grab one at the right time and price

For sure. If you apprecaite the solidness of the Blingmaster then you will definitely enjoy a Frogman. The older GWF-1000 is more classic and that's actually the one I would recommend but both models are outstanding.

I think that the D-Frog holds his own against the big Rangeman for the simple reason that frogs are the ONLY certified ISO diver line of Casio and unlike the Rangeman, the case or rather the whole body is one molded cast of iron which if you see video of a Rangeman disassembly, although well build he cannot hold a candle to the D-Frog. I myself own DW8200, GW200 and a Gold GF8230E. I am considering this one too, despite my wrist being 17cm or 6.7 inches (I think). Yeah, he will wear big and will look big, but it is expected - it's a G - Shock. Also, if guys with skinny wrists can enjoy the humongous ProTreks and beefy GWG 1000 Mudmaster, I can enjoy the D-Frog too.

I can agree with everything you say. Just one thing, the case is steel I believe, not iron. I think it will look just fine on your wrist. If it's comfortable and you like it then it belongs there.

@@degenerateWA yes, s-steel, my bad 😅 I think this only ads more character to his big personality, he's like Randy Savage - large (and in charge) , loud and hard to ignore. Although decent and well build, the Analog Frogman lacks the loud personality of his predecessor.

The black bracelet looks great. Whats cool about wearing a sweet watch is, you get to look at it all the time. A cool car only looks good when your outside of it. I just got my first watch a few months ago, the Casio ae1500wh. The price was 25 but every time I look at it I dig it lol.

One of the reasons I got into watches is because of the fact that it's an item that I can wear, use, and enjoy immediately and every day. Casio 'AE' watches are great. Super fun but also very reliable. The affordable price tag is just icing on the cake. My favorite AE is the AE2100WD-1A

Oof, that's a hard question for me to answer. In my heart I would recommend the 1000, but in my head I know the newer D1000 makes more logical sense. I love everything about the 1000. To me, the 1000 is the embodiment of old and new G-Shock. The reason why I love the D1000 is because it's related to the 1000, so interpret that for however you will lol.

You have to get lug adaptors. I got mine from Jays and Kays. After you install them you can use any 24mm straight-endlink bracelet on it

Some people underestimate the G-Shock collecting costs. They have awesome budget watches but also models that FAR exceed even this Frogman. Producer Michael just covered a $130,000 G-Shock!

Veterans from JaysandKays are not crazy, that's ideal little light for a burglars (despite in my career i didn't saw a burglar with a 1000 USD diving watch) :-) :-) :-) That price will be the same forever, because that watch will very probably outlive you and me together. People recognize that value. Casio could put a 2000 USD price tag, nobody wouldn't say a word. There's nothing at that watch without some purpose, and there's no watch company in the world except Casio that is able to design and produce a watch like that. I love that watch because it's not trying to hide what it is.....it screams ''I'm the best digital diving watch in the world''. That thing is like a Victorinox multitool. The only thing that i don't like is asymmetric shape....just like Casio is forcing you to wear it on the left hand. A reason for a higher price could be a fact that this is the only ISO 6425 compliant G shock....probably that type of a certified testing cost some money, and somebody has to pay for that. In my opinion ISO 6425 testing is nothing more than a very serious torturing of the watch, much above ''normal'' torturing....actually these guys are giving their best to destroy the watch....which means that Frogman can officially withstand much more than it's declared. Is that a negative for you? Personally I think that's a good thing. That means 100% of it's functions are controlled from the watch itself. Most of the bluetooth connected G's have features that can only be set on the phone and I hate that.

I think you may have confused this one with the GWF-A1000. That's the only Frogman which has Bluetooth connectivity.
