D-Day Dice (2nd Ed) actually came out in 2019, so it's not a new game. They ran a Kickstarter with additional content this year and are getting ready to run another Kickstarter end of this year or early next year to introduce a 3rd Ed and new D-Day Pacific base box.

Didn't Rik Falch do the Kickstarter for D-Day Dice? The guy who then did a Kickstarter for Up Front that raised over $300k before he suddenly disappeared across the world?

@@biblehistoryscience3530 yeah I think so, a different team took it over and delivered.

I had the 1st edition of this game and it played really well solo. Tried it 2-player co-op once or twice and just couldn't get it to click. Fun to get the cards to mitigate your dice but found it overwhelmingly easy to win most of the time. I would've liked to try the Atlantik Wall expansion where someone plays as the Germans firing from the bunker at the Allies player storming the beach.

I think if you have only experienced 1st ed, you are probably missing a lot of the nuances that have come since, not least a lot more maps.

It's still just Notsee Yahtzee.

Is Rik Falch connected to this game still?

Rik Falch and Valley Games did a KS for the first edition of this game in 2011. The game shown here was made years later by a completely different publisher that has no connection with Valley or Falch.

It isn't bad for what it is but I found that I bored of it pretty quickly. Quality is pretty nice though!
