Actually, I did not to use a walkthrough once! ...up untill Chapter 12, that is... You know, triple trouble and all that jazz. It was pretty overwhelming for me. But besides that I figured out all the puzzles outside of Chapter 12 myself. Even that background music puzzle in Chapter 5 (Floating Black Market). :P The main reason why I was able to solve it was because I had encountered a similar puzzle in an adventure game before. In Simon the Sorcerer 3D you find a computer with no buttons on it but you have to open its disc tray to insert the boot disc. So what do you do? You open the tray of your own PC. Simon 3D taught me to think outside of the box. Speaking of Simon, he's another comedically despicable character. Though he doesn't have *any* redeemable qualities, unlike Rufus. I probably enjoyed Rufus from the get-go because I enjoy this kind of humour. --- So have you played Deponia Doomsay?

Dude I watched until 3:25 for -I think- obvious reason. What mostly interests me from a catholic righteous point of view is if its maybe on the level of monkey island, the best graphic adventure, along with fullthrottle in my opinion.

Lovely! I had to laugh when I saw you have a Video on this Series. I was so utterly conflicted when I was playing these Games, Rufus' evil Deeds were just so frustrating for me to sit through (often enough I got stuck just because I simply because it never just didn't cross my Mind to be as evil as the Game demanded me to be). At the End, I hated the Series, but leading up to the fourth Game, I replayed them and, with some new Distance, started to love them. I recently told another Reviewer (who was very happy to hear my Perspective) that what at first seems to be a "Hell"-Segment in the third Game is kind of what Rufus deserves to quite a Degree, and that one should not be troubled too much by the Thought that Rufus would live through a tiny little temporary Hell. It obviously was a very catholic Perspective of mine. One Thing I enjoy about the fourth Game is that Rufus is NOT as evil as we usually know him, and that for me, that makes total Sense! The fourth Game shows us a Fork in the Timeline where the Events of the first three Games never happen, and thusly can neither have their frustrating Effect on us or Rufus, so we see a Rufus that may not yet be driven to the evil Actions he otherwise would be doing. Instead, he gets a Ride to Elysium right away and after his Initial Joy he realizes that is is not what he wanted after all -- so he got happy, then he got humble, and the Events have thusly made him a better Person. His Morality has changed in a good but also reasonable Way, and that is some good Character Writing, I think. But that is just my Interpretation.

The thing with rufus is that since deponia is still supposed to be a video game it also makes the players feels like they're being IMMORAL when a lot of them didn't forcefully WANTED to do that therefore it's like if you want to enjoy deponia you have to do WHAT THE GAME WANTS INSTEAD OF WHAT YOU WANT and that's the main probleme between rufus and the players because of that line it prevents MANY players from actually enjoying buying the game in the first place and it ruins the vibes as result 😔😔😔😔😔😔☹☹☹☹☹☹☹☹☹ (At least in the first three games but.... you know what i mean YIKES Rufus YIKES 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰)

I've beated the entire series without watching or following any walktroght. I just looked up the solution for the surgeon minigame, which was stupid to resolve. I ain't going to spoil it, but who has played the game knows why is stupid.
