I thought of another plot Mojo Jojo and the Gang Green Gang Team Up. What happens is they remember that Grubber can do a perfect impression of the mayor. They tie up the Mayor and Ms. Bellum and throw them in the closset. There is an innecom they casn talk into and the voice comes out the robot. Just incase people come in he builds them a remote control mayor robot and a remote control Ms. Bellum robot. Another assistent walks in and the GGG has to use the robots. Other asistent: Its time for you to do you're mayor duties Mayor Bot: You mean like helping the poor Asistent: What are you insane I mean like playing shuffleboard They then keep teeling the Powerpuff girls to go to the wrong place. While Mojo Jojo does crimes and gets away with them. Of course the girls get more and more fursttrated and confused. Then they get sick of this and they got to the Mayors office to see whats up. At first they fall for the Robot mayor and Ms. Bellum and then they grow suppisious. Then they beat them up the gang green gang up and Mojo Jojo. Ace: We were getting bpred any way Mojo Jojo got to have all the fun while we sat around on the phone all day long. Buttercup: Why didn't you just pass laws that only benifit you Blossom and Bubbles: DON'T GIVE THEM IDEAS Ace: why didn't we think of that PPG: because you're idiots. Then they throw them in jail and they free the Mayor and Ms. Bellum. Ms. Bellum: HE WAS SINGING THE WHOLE TIME Mayor: 99 bottles of milk on the wall gelps me relax in dire situations. So once again the day was saved thanks to the Powerpuff Girls.

The humor of the reboot, this episode particular, really feels like it wants to ape the gags of shows like Flapjack and Chowder, with the goofy non-sequitur gags, REPEATING AND EMPHASIZING LINES IN A SILLY VOICE, and this episode's dumb photoshop gags.

This episode just reeks of the “kids are dumb, throw whatever on the screen and they’ll find it funny” mindset that all the worst cartoons use. The simile cutaway gags are the biggest example of this, as they primarily appear immediately after Buttercup is treated unfairly. The plot twist of the Fear Leaders being robots is supposed to be random for humor’s sake instead of important and it’s literally a Deus ex Machina in the worst possible way. Blossom being repeatedly killed by Dr. Tankenstein feels like it was ripped straight out of a *bad* TTG episode in terms of the delivery and pacing. If the writers and crew had taken their time and actually made this episode something worthwhile rather than assuming that kids will laugh at air horn noises and random stock pictures, maybe I wouldn’t be complaining.

Derbies Dollies is a mess? This reboot is a mess, which is why I stopped watching this show by the end of Season 2 (that and Comcast moved Cartoon Network to a more expensive package.) But I enjoy watching these PPG reboot reviews to hear your opinions on the episodes, knowing I'm not the only one who thinks most of them are bad.

This would have been better if Blossom was the one to replace the hurt player. Just imagine, Maylyn asks Blossom to fill in the spot, Blossom refuses at first because she thinks it is a pointless game but agrees after some convincing, she is bad at first but starts to get into the game after putting her strategy skills to work, and she starts to enjoy the game after the first match. Blossom starts to become better at the game then Buttercup because she applies strategy and coordination while playing rather then pure brute force like Buttercup. We see scenes of a few Death Ball games, Buttercup starts acting out and ruining the team's plays with her antics, Buttercup is put on the side lines because of her jealousy, the final match happens with the other team turning into giant mutant cheaters, and all 3 girls join in to overcome the cheaters and Buttercup apologizes to both Blossom and the team for her behavior while Blossom decides to be a substitute player so that her sister can continue the game she loves without interruption. Doesn't that sound like a better episode and conclusion?

The whole "Tankenstein" and "the fear leaders were robots" come off as more dav pilkey writing to me in a sense its ridiculously dumb( i mean, he made melvin a booger monster so) and its so illfitting when the show tries so hard to stand out and be unique. Same thing goes for those weird jokes, the CU netflix show does similar gags that involve photo manipulation except the images actually make sense to the context of the jokes being made. And my biggest disappointment with the show has been that this is supposed to be written, storyboarded and animated by professionals. People who went to college, got a degree, walked across the stage and got a diploma yet theyre now making stuff that one would expect from an amateur. Really using that college degree huh?

Do you want to know how to make this plot work? Have the conflict be about Buttercup learning to accept when someone’s better than her at something? Have her be jealous of Bubbles’s skills to the point where she even tries to sabotage her sister’s game, and then have Maylin bench her in the big game as punishment. It still uses the basic outline of the Star is Blossom plot line but does something different enough from it so that it’s a complete ripoff, AND - and this is important - this conflict would actually make sense for Buttercup to have.

Its alright to give characters new skills if they don't contradict her established character. You just have to stick with it down the road. She was always complex. Bubbles is the sweet one, she is super cute, Blossom and Buttercup see her as the baby of the group and sometimes she tries to prove she is as tough as they are, she is the most childish powerpuff girl, She hates it when Blossom and Buttercup fight, She can talk to animals and speak any language, she is the silliest one, she is a free spirit, she loves everyone, but she is a huge cry baby, she is the most sensitive of the girls, she is a little ditzy, she is bad at school.

This episode is bad so I thought of a new one entirely. The amaboe boys once again fail to get the powerpuff girls to defeat them. This time they stole a canalope instead of an orange. The girls all laugh and say nice try. Then theyu feel depressed then the see an ad for Mojo Jojo has a super villain school for aspiring villians and the Ameboe Boys enroll in it and they annoy mojo jojo the whole time. Then they finnioally get how to do good deeds in class and Mojo Jojo is proud of them. But when they try and do crimes out in townsvile instead of the classroom they keep being bad and their bad deeds keep causing good things to happen. Then Mojo Jojo tires to doo bad deeds and evil scheems and that keeps causing good things to hapen too. So once agian the day is saved thanks to Mojo Jojo, Boss Man, Tiny, and Stretch.

In an alternative universe, the Toucans would be practicing as the fear leaders host a "charity" tournament. Bubbles and buttercup would be playing alongside the toucans. Blossom would be fighting Mojojojo in a side plot. Mojo would be rambling in perfect English (like in g1). The team would be split up between signaling out blossom and the drama between bubbles and buttercup. We see a lot more of blossom vs mojo instead of side gags. (You know the rest but ill finish anyways). The toucans are in the lead till half-game till one of the fear leaders drops a nut or glitches (i like drop a nut). Mojo bursts into the game with blossom captured and the girls realize it's a trap and bubbles gets distracted, electrocuted. Then "THE DAY IS SAVED THANKS TO BUTTERCUP AND THE TOUCANS!"

I’ve been watching this episode. The writers really made me hate Buttercup’s character in here, and in the entire reboot in general. She’’s exceedingly aggressive, arrogant, very obnoxious, too selfish, and she has absolutely no respect for either her dad, her sisters, or her teacher. She evilly grins as she peppers her pancakes in front of the Professor when he’s handling a dangerous experiment after he tells her not to distract him, causing him to hurt himself, then she did it again, and then does it again without any remorse. She tries to sabotage Bubbles getting on the team she wants to be on because she’s jealous. Blossom repeatedly tells her that she needs her help to stop a bad guy, but Buttercup makes her sister deal with it by herself, so she can do her own thing with the Derbytantes, and Blossom is just reduced to a punching bag for a stupid recurring gag that makes her pathetic. Bubbles has become insensitive and stupid as hell, even though she generally was the most emotionally intelligent girl of the three in the OG cartoon. I get that Buttercup tended to get the weakest centrics in the OG cartoon with the most character derailment, double standards, mean-spiritedness, and torture porn. Yeah, it was an occasional problem in the OG cartoon. She also tended to be the most rebellious and instigating of the girls. However, she still was often portrayed as a jerk with a heart of gold. She had a conscience, and I don’t buy that the OG character wouldn’t feel bad about sabotaging Bubbles like this, even if she did like to mess with her the most. As much as I despise the episode “Moral Decay” from the OG cartoon, and as much as some of the Buttercup centrics tended to give her the short end of the stick on occasion in gat least, she was punished for being a brat in the centrics where she was one, even if it went into overkill territory at times. Also, in general, the OG Buttercup with a much more introverted jerk with a heart of gold type character. She could be an instigator, she could be a bully, and she could be selfish. She had trouble apologizing at times. However, she would generally feel bad about it when she did wrong. When her sisters needed her help, she was there to save them. In the reboot, not only has Buttercup become more of a jerk than she originally was, but she actually gets rewarded for it.

Gravity Falls sort of does this but it isn't nearly as formulaic as the other shows I mentioned, Amphibia always rips off this formula.

I thought of another plot Mojo Jojo and the Gang Green Gang Team Up. What happens is they remember that Grubber can do a perfect impression of the mayor. They tie up the Mayor and Ms. Bellum and throw them in the closset. There is an innecom they casn talk into and the voice comes out the robot. Just incase people come in he builds them a remote control mayor robot and a remote control Ms. Bellum robot. Another assistent walks in and the GGG has to use the robots. Other asistent: Its time for you to do you're mayor duties Mayor Bot: You mean like helping the poor Asistent: What are you insane I mean like playing shuffleboard They then keep teeling the Powerpuff girls to go to the wrong place. While Mojo Jojo does crimes and gets away with them. Of course the girls get more and more fursttrated and confused. Then they get sick of this and they got to the Mayors office to see whats up. At first they fall for the Robot mayor and Ms. Bellum and then they grow suppisious. Then they beat them up the gang green gang up and Mojo Jojo. Ace: We were getting bpred any way Mojo Jojo got to have all the fun while we sat around on the phone all day long. Buttercup: Why didn't you just pass laws that only benifit you Blossom and Bubbles: DON'T GIVE THEM IDEAS Ace: why didn't we think of that PPG: because you're idiots. Then they throw them in jail and they free the Mayor and Ms. Bellum. Ms. Bellum: HE WAS SINGING THE WHOLE TIME Mayor: 99 bottles of milk on the wall gelps me relax in dire situations. So once again the day was saved thanks to the Powerpuff Girls.

The others gave me hope that it could improve, but this just feels wrong. I wish I could find the production codes so I could see if I liked it or not.

I think your reaction at the start of the episode says it all; URGH. If there is one stereotype for girl power I've come to get annoyed at it's really forced roller derby. That's usually the quick go-to when you need something to show how 'TOUGH AND NOT LIKE OTHER GIRLS' something is but then I realize that team-derby, no matter the gender, has been around for years so what they're presenting here isn't new and actually kind of a bad look at it since they're not even making it look fun or cool, just lame. Also, Alita did it better. edit: Hold the fuck up. Trolls did an episode like this! Guy Diamond gets jealous that there is another random troll who is better at him at the friendship games and he does anything to get back in his friends' favor, including bringing back Harper (the artist troll) who was hurt my Smidge because Smidge is SO strong that when she high-fived Harper, she BROKE ALL OF HER BONES! Guy even wheels Harper in while she's in a full-body cast in order for her to come back so the substitute doesn't win the game in his place. The idea of one character being jealous over another is nothing new but there are so many points from this episode that ring from Trolls that I am shocked, considering that in Trolls' case it was funnier given it was done as a way to actually see the other characters that weren't given so much time in the movie. We've already gotten sick of Butter's asshole behavior up at this point.

The amaboe boys once again fail to get the powerpuff girls to defeat them. This time they stole a canalope instead of an orange. The girls all laugh and say nice try. Then theyu feel depressed then the see an ad for Mojo Jojo has a super villain school for aspiring villians and the Ameboe Boys enroll in it and they annoy mojo jojo the whole time. Then they finnioally get how to do good deeds in class and Mojo Jojo is proud of them. But when they try and do crimes out in townsvile instead of the classroom they keep being bad and their bad deeds keep causing good things to happen. Then Mojo Jojo tires to doo bad deeds and evil scheems and that keeps causing good things to hapen too. So once agian the day is saved thanks to Mojo Jojo, Boss Man, Tiny, and Stretch.

Honestly I don’t think she magically got talented being an actress 🤔 I mean yeah she took Blossom’s spotlight but Bubbles is an artist, drama counts as art when you think about it. I feel like the writers of the show messed up Bubbles, Buttercups, and Blossom’s characteristic actually because the fact the BUBBLES is a good singer which we clearly seen in that season 1 episode of this fucked up show, I find it hard to believe that the cute and bubbly bubbles can do computer science because BLOSSOM is the smartest out of Bubbles and Buttercup, and Buttercup…is just like me a tomboy but there’s a difference between her and I, you want to know what that is, well I’m not a fucking asshole in some episodes to any of my sisters, yeah I’m a smartass, but I’m not an asshole. It honestly took me awhile until he said “magically good in acting” but hey this is me being a nitpick 🤷‍♀️
