REVIEW dyson airstrait vs dyson blowdryer

I decided to compare the Dyson Airstrait to the Dyson Blowdryer to see if it works on type 4 hair. What do you think? You sticking with the blow dryer or would the airstrait be a better option for you?

I've had my Supersonic for a few years now and just purchased the Airstrait this month. I prefer the Airstrait over using the comb attachment on my Supersonic because I get volume, which is needed for my fine strands. However, the Supersonic is bomb for a wash n go! Oh, when I purchased my first Dyson product (vacuum cleaner), I registered it on their site. Now, I receive 20% owner rewards coupons in email . Usually, it's for specific products. But if you are patient, one will come through for the product you want. I hope that info is helpful!

I appreciate your review, thank you! I do own the AirStrait and appreciate not having to be too concerned, about heat damage although you are correct, it takes longer to get through a full head of hair.

As always you rock Kim! I will say though that once you use the airstrait a few times and get the hang of it, it takes less time. I find that I get better results with it than blow drying and I actually don't have to flat iron unless I want to.( I have 4c coily hair ) Just my opinion though. Definitely have to do what works best for each person ☺️❤️

Fren the blowout side looks healthier too!! I LOVE my Dyson blow dryer and finally figured out I was over doing it using high heat. Now if I’m round brush blow drying I use high heat to get sleeker results (it almost looks like I used a straightener) but for just a quick blowout medium heat is just fine! Thank you for comparing the two. I’ll stick with my blow dryer too lol

I’m debating a purchase. It’s the time that will determine my selection. I learned of the airstraight looking up the dryer. I was sold on it until your video. It looks like the air straight didn’t have curly or kinky texture in mind so it took longer. It looks good but the dryer side looks better

I like the air straight if you want your hair to be manageable but not too straight. The blow dryer makes your hair straighter but it's a different look. Your hair looks so healthy.

Interesting view point. I had the Dyson blow dryer and hated it. Every blow dryer I’ve had I have hated having to comb attachment. I think I like the airstrait more because it’s going to be easier to use.😮that’s my opinion

Thanks for this! I bought the Supersonic during the Nordstrom Anniversary pre-sale then on a whim bought the Airstrait! Haven’t opened either of them. Question. I know Dyson is promising no heat damage with both but do you think the Airstrait has less of a chance of that?

Yes the blowout side was definitely better. Also I saw you do that first part with the air straight and uhhh it was taking a minute 😂 Im already tired at the end of wash day ion want to spend another 1.5hrs blow drying

Also yes I just finished the video and the blow dryer is definitely also worth it too cause it comes with all the different attaches. A nice bonus for the curly girls. I wonder if the air straight would be more beneficial for people with naturally straight hair?

If revair was working outside US I would never hesitate to purchase it, heat free and better results, 2 in 1

Revair leaves your roots puffy. Dyson supersonic won’t give you heat damage. At one time I was blowing out once a week.I have 4c

I have the Revair, and I just recently purchased both the Shark Flexstyle and the Dyson Supersonic. I liked the Revair but with my hair now being mid back length and it's thick. It took me forever to blowout my hair the other week and my hair was sleek at all. If you're just wanting your hair stretched then the Revair would be fine. If you want sleeker results and if your hairs thick definitely plan to spend some time to blow it out. I became a "stretched natural" in October 2023. I blow my hair out every wash day. I just wanted something that won't take me 45 minutes to an hour to do a blowout. I got the Supersonic if I'm just trying to get done quick and still want sleek results. Then I got the Flexstyle if I want real sleek results with the round brush and bristle brush

Personally I love the Airstrait because I don't have the skill level to blowout my hair with a dryer nicely! It always comes out frizzy and weird when I use a regular blowdryer but the airstrait is like blowouts for dummies! Can't mess it up :P But also I have 3A hair which is not anywhere near as curly as yours
