Kevin's a chill guy, I really enjoyed the video! Right off the bat he's got the basics down of talking to the camera, he can pretty much do his own thing while you do yours and just push more content out that way. Kevin's personality isn't far off from Rich's so it's not a harsh change for us and flows well with the existing library of videos and Rich. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see more videos

I love the idea of a second channel. My job has virtually nothing to do with construction or agriculture but I've loved big giant machines since I was a kid. Content like this let's me indulge that part of me vicariously - no room for a tractor in the family garage in the city - so thanks for taking the time! I wear my DG hat almost every day 👍

We’ve a MX110 at home in Ireland with a Quickie loader on it. Possibly the best tractor that ever came about the place. 12,000 hours on it a not a spanner put to it other then when it’s been serviced. Perfect tractor for loader work. A great all rounder. Handles a Kverneland 4 furrow reversible with ease like no other 110hp tractor. Never lays down and all the bad manners and abuse it gets off us at home. Walks around other tractors power wise (especially new ones!) Don’t make em like they used to!!!!

Hello from Finland! I had mx 100 for several years. Last year i changed it to a bigger one. The Case had been driven for 8,000 hours at that time without major problems. A few electrical parts had been replaced, the mechanical parts were working well. The only thing I miss is that engine sound!

Me, my brother and dad own a fairly large amount of farm equipment. I’ve been following this channel for awhile now and this mx110 video is a godsend!! We have a mx120 and typically we aren’t the kind of guys to give up on a piece of machinery that needs a bit of wrench pulling to iron out some issues... but our Mx120 has been nothing but a nightmare to utilize on our mixed cattle and grain operation. Like we basically have been limiting it to a 2 wheel drive snow plow. PTO, rockshaft, diff lock, mfwd all have been non functioning. We just didn’t know where to start looking and weren’t about to put any money into it, when we have six other tractors and harvesting units that are needed or more reliable. Hell the old man’s cockshutt 1900 with a gm 4-53 is ten times more reliable(albeit deafening lol). Anyways just wanted to say thank you for putting out videos like this!
@stevendavis3012
@stevendavis3012 4 жыл бұрын
The PTO has a switch that shorts out internally, look at the pto shaft, then look about 10 o'clock near the shield -- that switch tells the instrument cluster if you have the shaft in 540 or 1000 position -- remove the wire from the switch and tape it up(replace the switch if this fixes the problem) -- can't remember which fuse it is, but there is one blown -- the functions should return with a new fuse

In this video you showed two major issues I experienced with my MX120. I’ve spent some nights and it cost me a lot to find out bad powershift solenoid and the main positive plug. The bad thing about second hand MX’s is that you never know if you reach 10k, 20k or 30k of hours at the odometer. Thanks for great vids and all the best from Poland!

Really enjoyed looking at the Case tractor MX 110. I am amazed at the Agricultural equipment in use these days. My father worked on Massey Ferguson and Massey Harris equipment and later in his career he worked on John Deere equipment. As a young guy I worked on dairy farms and also in the tobacco harvest but that's another story. I recently saw a visit you made to place that had old aircraft. There was some old AVRO parts there and some talk about the AVRO Arrow. Our family lived just east of Malton and we saw the Arrow fly over on a number of occasions. Usually they had a Sabre chase plane. They were usually flying fairly low and the runways were fairly close. These were great memories for me. As kids we thought the Arrow was something very special.

Brilliant. Just a few relatively simple observations like this can totally alter your abilities to diagnose and correct. Not many experts are willing to share such knowledge = result you continue to pay top $ when it's not the disaster it appears. This stuff is brilliant. A few more owners will now be much more confident to try and diagnose. Thank you.

Own 3 of these. Absolutely love them. Great loader tractors. Much better than modern CNH hunks if junk. The case loader that comes with these is the best built loader I've seen on a tractor this size. Have been very reliable. 1 of them has over 14k hours and runs as good as it did when we got it. Couple issues that weren't covered. All three tractors have had issues with wiring on the PTO sensor. Blows fuse and tractor won't go. Thanks to Deboss garage for a video for that fix! If alternator isn't charging fully PTO sometimes won't stay on. Has to do with the sensor getting enough power. I've swapped all of them to the higher amp alternator and that fixes it. A stupid design is the loader lever. Plastic top comes off over time and good luck sticking the thing back on! The aspirator has these small little holes that fill up with dirt. Compressed air doesn't get it out very well. Have to use a hunk of thin wire or something to push it out because they spiral around and you can't get anything thicker in there. Not a fun job. Last but not least the biggest problem with an mx110 is that they only made them for 4 years! Unless you want a McCormick mtx... Love these AG related videos keep em coming!

Funny mentioning the anti slip additive, it applies to wet disk brakes too. Discovered this the hard way with wet brakes in a manitou forklift, changed brake pack seals, manual called for standard 80w90, the noise when braking was awful! 😂 Customer never wanted to spend anymore and it was several years later I found out there was a friction modifier you had to add but not stated in the manual. Universal tractor transmission oil usually has these additives already in and has a gl4 rating so try to use it where I can even though its thinner than 80w90.

I recently purchased a 2003 Case IH JX95. It only has 269 hours on it. Of course the JX line were made in Turkey with IVECO engines. One thing that bugged me was that the oil filler neck would pull right out of the block. A big bump while working in the field would have popped it right out. So I took a good center punch and dimpled 4 points around the block entry which made for a light interference fit. Then I took some Permatex green used to seal new cylinder sleeves in diesel blocks and applied before tapping in the oil filler next. Hopefully it sealed. I will find out in a little while.

One thing I was anticipating but didn't see: if you lose brakes on one of these, it might be that the standpipe that keeps a supply of oil in the master cylinder reservoir on the front side of the cab firewall has slipped down. My family's MX120 had that happen when it was relatively new & I well remember being given the job of driving it to the dealership without brakes, probably 17 or 18 years ago.

City not here but I do like the heavy equipment stuff. Kevin has lots of personality too. Looking forward to more videos.

I've subscribed to the new channel Rich, great idea.👍 One thing I noticed, trying to click on the *NOTIFICATION BELL* doesn't work. It shows up as "content for kids" and won't allow me to smash that bell. It's perfectly possible that there's something wrong at *my* end but I thought I should mention it. Sorry if loads of folks have already commented on this; I haven't had time to go through all the comments. Great move bringing Kevin onboard. Cheers for now, Dougie.

We’ve had no issues with being able to turn on notifications and the channel is labelled as not for kids. Hope that helps!

@@DGHD No problem guys. The solution was simple: I unsbbed; then subscribed again and, as if by ******* magic, the problem vanished. Gotta love KZbin.😂 Cheers for replying anyway; glad it's not a problem at your end. Cheers for now, Dougie.
