I cannot go back to pure stereo. It is like the ne Mono. Listening music literally surrounding you, no matter the genre it is a wonderful experience, where easily can enjoy the ensemble as a whole, but also each element that makes up the complete music. Nice to have found this channel

I actually got all the European sacd’s , got them back in 2006. Green box is a must but honestly wind and wuthering and And Then There Were Three are classics

Just started getting back into surround sound after many, many years building up my vinyl collection. Just got the 4 quadio discs, DTS 5.1 Sheryl Crow and some 2006 Depeche Mode cd's with an extra disc of 5.1 mixes. Enjoy your channel and use it as a good resource to search for some I need to be on the look out for.

I’m fortunate to have 4 out of the 5 boxes…I don’t have the live video one. Nick Davis did a fantastic job on them!! Even albums that I don’t like such as And Then There Were Three and Invisible Touch sound amazing. Atmos mixes would be the cherry on top for these albums .

Thanks, Mike! I don't know how many of us have Atmos at home. (Anyone for a poll?) I'm in a duplex here in costly California so I won't be ripping up the ceiling anytime! I recall listening to & reading *Lamb Lies Down* on LP when I was in college. (Street kid Rael gets dragged into another dimension where he's tested & eventually learns to care about somebody other than himself.) What amazes me is that Genesis wrote & rehearsed most of the music apart from Pete, then they had to join it all together with his lyrics. The original CD release (or "Rael-ease") on Atlantic was awful (probably made from a noisy safety copy of the original). Now I have the 2-SACD set from EMI Japan which sounds great in 5.1.

I'm with you on your suggestion that Genesis release all their albums with a fresh mix which includes Atmos. My pipedream is that Genesis release all their albums on Blu Ray Audio to include DTS-HD 5.1 and Atmos. (Frankly, all supergroups should do this). Do you have any connection with Rhino to make it happen? Fingers crossed. =)

Between you and I, except for the Atmos (which I highly doubt most people have the gear to enjoy) the SACD is superior enough to compete with the DTS-HD.

Fun fact when they put together those sets they crowd sourced all the fan films and photos from that period of lamb to put in the that dvd-a I don’t believe anyone else has done this. Totes correct me if I’m wrong l. I actually remember the website call out for them.

Here’s a trick that I do with The Lamb: not only is the story not great but the track sequencing is dictated by the story rather than any musical themes. I find that the album is much more enjoyable when played on shuffle than straight through. At some point, I’m going to try to find a definitive sequence for the songs but in a pinch, shuffle will do.

That's probably a great idea. I've rarely been able to make it through side 4 (ala LP version), and often start getting fidgety about half-way through side 3.

I just got back from a mate's place and he has something that i had no idea existed Pure Audio did a Bluray release of "Selling England by the Pound" What do you know of this release and your opinions of it? I remember being slack-jawed There is a ton of soundstage/separation Petes vocals are almost in the room with you Maybe more than i remember from the SACD,but i can't do an A-B test, and its been a while since i heard my SACD i would love to hear your take on this i have heard other Pure audio releases Supertramp-Crime of the Century" ,tho only stereo,it was stellar Cheers

I haven't heard the blu-ray, but I recall reviews saying it sounds basically identical to the SACD, assuming one's system handles both formats the same.

Hey bro What is the exact name of that "dark grey box" that i need to search for to buy it? Is it part of that anthology box? Are all the discs in surround? Not sure how i could have missed this

I acquired the lamb lies down SACD/DVD set only last week and with it bringing an end to my quest to own the entire Genesis catalogue that was released in SACD, fulfilment is certainly a wonderful feeling after many years of trying 😁
