I discoverd Glow on a stream earlier this week. From that I learned about Waves Alchemy. They make awesome instruments as well!

I wanted to recreate the 80's electro drum sound and I looked firstly at a Neve hardware version, but after hearing Glow I've come to the conclusion the difference is so negligible! Thank you for uploading this.

Glow is absolutely brilliant reverb and is actually better than the UA RMX16 which I also own. I'm so glad that Glow exists because my UA Satellite Quad thunderbolt just died on me a few weeks ago. There is no way I'd be investing in UA's outdated DSP chips in 2024. Thank God for companies like wave alchemy who can rival Universal Audio at a fraction of the price and also for Apple for developing Apple Silicon Chips which are so powerful thus making external DSP chips unnecessary in most use cases.

To be fair, I’m pretty sure many of their plugins are available natively now including their emulation of this reverb. That being said, the price difference will still be significant.

I think it was only close in shoot out 2, with the toms. The vocals & drum loop were clearly better with the UAD. But I think I'll buy glow as it's quite good & much cheaper!

Doesn’t sound bad for the price, the toms did sound better on the UAD version. if i didnt already have the UAD version i would get Glow

Great job comparing it with the UAD plugin ! The Non-lin gave me that 'feeling' on the Glow. Overall it sounds really good, i'd take it over the UAD.

Hey friend. You can cut them down -4dB or up +4DB. So you can indeed band-pass the post reverb signal.

Hey man, I just got the dt 900s and I was wondering if I need to do anything else than just plug the aux into my computer such as adjust the eq and what not. What do you recommend I do to make the most out of my headphones?

That’s pretty much it. I can’t remember their impedance but you may have to crank them. Some people would use a headphone amp, but it’s not necessary. Also consider SoundID Reference if you want to Neutralize them some.

Should I plug my headphones into my mic in or my computer, (computer has higher Hz at 192000 compared to shure 48000, I want to hear myself but I don't want to sacrifice quality, which I cant notice a super noticeable difference at least. My second and last question is how would you go by increasing the bass on these without affecting the sound negatively (distortion etc.) .

@@ManchesterMusic I bought Crispy Tuner from Crispy Audio back in 2020 for $70 upon its release. That was it’s retail price, an incredible value. At the time, I was considering saving up to buy Autotune Pro which was $399. This plugin suite had EVERYTHING Autotune had for a fraction of the price, so I elected to purchase. The plugin worked so well I ditched the idea of saving up for Autotune Pro. Fast forward a year later, Brainworx purchased Crispy Audio and now sale the same plugin as bx_crispytuner for $399. I got the bx version for free because I already owned the original. A similar thing happened with the Kirschoff EQ although I don’t own that one. It wouldn’t surprise me if the same thing happened with this company Wave Alchemy. Then again it might not. They might be similar to Baby Audio.
