Thanks for the video. Just curious how much room the front passenger has when the seat is rear facing? Any chance you tried it on the driver side as well? I am 6-4 and have an explorer and I put this behind the driver side. I can’t even get in the car. Contemplating getting a suburban or yukon, and need two of these rear facing for my girls. You can’t have anything underneath the carseat for the seat protection. Graco doesn’t allow it. It’s an after market product

She means for your child's safety. That prevents the seat from truely being tighten down and it will slide too much in a crash. Any qualified fireman checking your installation will tell you that. But go ahead and protect the precious leather right?

Depends on your vehicle, I don't have the slip fit and all three car seats will securely fit in the second row of my Armada. I'm looking up the slip fit for our sedan hence the reason I came across this video.

Now both the AAP and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recommend children face backward until they outgrow their seat. That means most children should remain in a rear-facing car seat until they're at least 2 or 3 years old.

@@Lethalgarage It looks like your 10month old here in the vid can already almost reach the backseat with his feet. I'm sure by 1 he had his feet on the backseat and then some. That would constitute "outgrowing" the rearfacing right? But that's so far under the standard of 2-3 years old. This video is old so im curious how long you kept him rear facing in this seat. Our daughter just turned 6mo and she's 19.5lbs and 26.75" long. She's almost grown out of her infant seat, and the pediatrician is saying she needs to be rear facing until 2yo! My concern is her height. Your son looks like his feet are already pressed up against the back of the seat, which may be fine on short trips but would be uncomfortable on long trips. That's my biggest concern about rear facing. I'm not sure what to do. I feel like all these new rules are insane and not really justifiable. Graco doesn't even make a mid-level car seat for this size. You have to buy an all-in-one like this one in your video. That doesn't make sense to me.

It is not a 4 in one. It does not covert to a backless booster. It's a 3 in one, but considered a convertible as its rear facing as well instead of a booster 3n1 which is forward facing only.
