I cannot tell you how many times I've wrestled with making the chairs tight enough. I've spent far too much time doing it. After seeing this and putting the pull loop through the car seat as shown at 1:26, I will never do it another way again. This was SO HELPFUL and I don't even have the exact same model. Right!!! For some reason the manual underexplained the use of this belt which made me think that was only for front facing.

I'm so glad I ran into this video. My son's dad and I were forgetting this can be a backless booster. I also didn't realize that the latch clip's don't need to be used for the high back booster when they are 45 lbs. My 6 year old just now weighs a little over 45 lbs, so perfect timing.

I’m transitioning my son from the harness to the seatbelt. I was getting frustrated because I couldn’t find a video on the installation into the car. Your so lucky. I tried to switch to rear facing but the inside metal bar won't let me raise the belt. So now I have both threading through the correct front facing holes but inside its diagonal and wasting belt length

It’s important to mention when rear facing, the latch can’t be used for weight over 35lbs. Use seatbelt to secure is preferred, but never both.

My bottom straps will not stretch out enough to attach to the anchors really mad and there is no way to make it longer that I can see thank you I will try to the seat belt method

Can you please do a video showing how to install the 4ever DLX 4-in-1 in the rear-facing direction using the seatbelts? (Not the extend2fit, which seems different, and not via the latch). I have watched at least 10 different videos. I have read the manual. We can't figure out where we are supposed to store the latch belts when the seat is rear-facing installed using the seatbelt. The videos indicate an area for storage that is orange/red. There is no such thing in that area on the seat I just bought. Furthermore there is no latch that the latch strap can even reach in the area. I'm thinking of returning the seat and getting the Chicco instead.

@Babylist everything was dome for switching to front facing but when I tighten my son when strapped in, I feel like the seat lifts up. Anchor straps are tight and doesn't move side to side or front to back. Any tips?

Good question! Here's what the manual says: "LATCH consists of lower anchors and top tether anchors, which are builtin to your vehicle, and connecting hooks that are built-in to your car seat. Lower anchors are used INSTEAD of the vehicle’s seat belt to secure the child seat to the vehicle. Top tethers are used IN ADDITION to the lower anchors OR the vehicle’s seat belt to secure a forward-facing car seat to the vehicle." As far as I understand, the exclusive use of the latch to secure the seat for children weighing more than 45 pounds is prohibited only in forward-facing mode. Usage is recommended again in the Use Witch Back Booster mode. This must be related to the load supported by the Latch, which must be less than that of the car belt.
