Im definitely gonna buy this foamer, I have marolex and happy with them but a battery sprayer in the arsenal is a worthy addition, one thing I think griots should do is give you Two filter holders. So when you switch from foam to spay you don't have to remove the sponges, that is a hassle. I will be trying to buy a few filter holders and extra sponges for quick swaps to different levels. One filter w one sponge, one filter with Two etc etc Griots needs to also offer service or replacement batteries. Lithium ion often go bad seemingly at random. I have 3 huge milwaukee 9amp and One 12amp that are only partially working. Very light use around the house also. I plan to tear apart and replace the bad cells and spot weld the terminals with a machine made for that. 130 foamer is expensive as a paper weight if griots wont install a new battery or sell one to the end user. I also think to get more pressure out of this maybe a 12v or 18v battery would have been better or decrease time to 30 min by increasing pressure. I still like it and as you said this is the early days of cordless foamers. If milwaukee, makita or dewalt jump all in on a hand held I imagine with the tool battery outputs it will be significant

@@LKN4WAR Yes that is a great idea with the filter holder, that would make tip changing easy and faster. We will pass that on to Griot's to see if that part can be made available.

Griot's Garage is certainly a formidable supplier of tools for the detailing industry and this sprayer shows good potential as a solution for this application. Because of the broad range of chemical viscosities, hardness of the water supply, and chemical dilution recommendations, much of its success will be left to the user, experimenting to find that sweet spot in foam density. I like the fact that battery life readout is visible, but certainly, with a 2:1 ratio in charge to run time, capability for a replaceable battery would be a huge advantage. This would allow the user to have a backup battery available for a quick change, and extend the overall life of the tool. (I realize that such a feature also raises liability concerns with handling lithium-ion batteries).

Wow I was wanting to get one but the price is a bit steep in my opinion. I was thinking 80 bucks max but 175 is crazy. Not to mention they are sold out so even if I was feeling impulsive that’s not an option. I would love to have a couple of these but I’ll wait to see if the price comes down at all.

It does have a higher price point but it is also 2 sprayers in one and also has an on board pump, if you tried to get that out of the current offerings you would have to buy 3 items, foam sprayer, regular sprayer and tire inflator. Factoring all that in , it is a good option.

@@autoobsessed1 I agree it's a good option but I already have an air compressor and would only need to buy one maybe two sprayer units to get the same results from this thing, the bundle deal for the ik foam and regular pump sprayer is around 60-70 bucks or I could go with the bigger versions for about 100 bucks give or take each but each of those would last an entire car with no refills and the air compressor I have would fill them. the price point on this is a little overpriced in my opinion, there are other battery powered sprayers out there that do the same thing and can be used as a prayer or foamer by switching the tips that are cheaper. in all honesty this thing should be priced closer to 80 buck and that's still kind of steep for what it is especially given the performance of its foaming capabilities, I'm not trying to bad mouth it or anything I just feel like its overpriced. that's just my opinion on it though.

Not for everyone which is why many options exist. This is currently the only product on the market that is a sprayer, foamer with the pump and battery built in all-in-one.

This is the second video of this product I see since couple of days.To be honest the quality of the foam is very poor. Looks like the pressure is to low for this and produced foam is with blank spaces. Will it be available in Europe? I would like to check it nevertheless.

In the video and pictures it does look a bit light and especially when you compare pressurized sprayers that use up to 60psi or foam cannons which are well over 1000psi. Where this unit shines is the size of the unit, completely portable, and it works as long as you hold the trigger up to ~60 minute runtime. Most pressurized sprayers you likely can spray one wheel done then stop and pump it up 15 times and move on, this type you can keep on going. We used it quite a bit and were very pleased with it's size and how well it works. As for Europe, we don't know, best is to contact Griot's Garage directly and see if they have any resellers in Europe. One plus for other countries is that the unit does not have a power adapter so there will be no issues with power certifications by country, it simply uses a USB to charge. Runtime is great but if it’s not producing foam like a pressurized sprayer then that runtime becomes meaningless. Bar solution still seems to be putting a valve on a foam sprayer and using a tire inflator to pressurize it.

@@bobstorr4986 Yes many options are available, pros and cons with each. We showed the tire inflator idea when IK came brought to market the Foam Pro+ and that is a good option but requires additional equipment and doesn't solve the numerous stops to recharge the pressure for a car. As mentioned many options available for the person to chose what is best for that persons needs.

@@autoobsessed1 This would be nice as a rinseless wash applicator before the contact wash or as you said to apply a product before using a coin car wash spay gun. Trigger sprayers and pumps get old.

@@bobstorr4986 Ultimate mcgyver foamer, take a CO2 Powertank for offroad tires and run that line to the foamer, 250PSI @45 CFM Inflates a 40" tire in under a min. I imagine if some sort of foamer could use this pressure it would be shave cream thick. Obviously the 500-1000 dollar tank setup makes it a bit impractical and heavy to lug around. I own one for airing down off road tires and such, the only reason Ive thought of it as going off label so to speak if I could implement it with a foamer. I have used it with good success running a snap on die grinder to cut out holes in a chrome bumper to fit lights, the tanks are very handy, very nice looking and very expensive. I guess i could add a valve and gauge on my marolex sprayers.
