Taping is important! When I first started out I got wax on my new black trim and it left lots of white blemishes. I tried to cover over with trim restore but no go. Finally bought a few pencils and used the erasers to clean it off. Still a lot of work.

The black 9mil gloves from harbor freight are great for winter, thick and you can wash your gloved hands , and reuse the gloves . Again hot in the summer but durable as can be

Just got a gorilla platform and I love it. Mine has a hand hole in the middle so you can easily grab it and move it around. Weighs nothing. Folds up for storage. Also have both those Griots polishers and love them.

Great video Fab! And good shout on the Harbor Freight gloves , they're my go to option and never let me down. The one thing I would add is to never buy them full price, because they go on sale all the time. I actually think Harbor Freight has done a great job with positioning themselves as a place to go and get enthusiast -professional level supplies in a pinch. The pads aren't my favorite but they're certainly adequate and able to do a job.

I don't detail professionally but I have always detailed my own personal vehicles. I have many of the items you mention except for the carpet brushes. My cars don't get that bad. I don't know if you've ever heard of Clydes 4 step leather reconditioning kit but on a worn and cracked seat it is amazing. I use their leather conditioning cream which really moisturizes and protects the leather......In the meantime the Corvette is detailed, covered and plugged into the trickle charger for winter...

Budget Ballin. Just bought the GG G9 & G8 (combo offering) with the 5" and 1" conversion (ceramic) kits respectively for less than one 15mm+ Flex or Rupes. Call me cheap, don't care. I call it financially responsible for a w/e DIY personal car(s) detailing warrior.

Grit guards not on the list? 😅 what about quietly waffle weave /twist loop drying and glass towels instead of bath towel. haha. forget the detail guards upgrade to flexzilla 50 foot swiveling garden hose and garden hose 2 in 1 soap blaster and spray nozzle. cheaper than getting a pressure washer setup and still soaps up the car pretty well for little effort and money. makes it more fun and easier time saving steps and tools. as far as polishing goes I only ceramic coat brand new cars. this way I don't need a crazy polisher I use my 5 in cordless daul action palm sander with hook n loop to use foam for quick q steps ' or waxing. or sandpaper for headlight restoration. they cost 100$ with battery and are very light and easy to handle. great list make more like this

Now, that was a cool video. Very very helpful. Couple comments. I haven't found a good shoe. Sounds funny right? Wrong! Wet hot sweaty feet sucks! If you wear the wrong shoe, and you're running around a car all day on concrete driveway or garage, your going to get a tremendous backache. That really sucks! Help! Stools. I've got the little round mechanics stool with hydraulic piston. Cool for elevation changes, horrible for comfort. Tried to sit on Harbor freight detail stool, and it's just too hard. So I'm shopping. Portable ladder. You gotta be careful. 1. Don't get close to the paint. 2. Don't get too far away and reach. Usually floor is wet and zip! Yep....right down to the floor. I've done it. New slip resistant coating going on floor next week. Safety first. That was a great video explaining stuff. Wish I seen that 3 years ago. Excellent Brian!

You want a pair of Hoka Clifton’s! They are my favorite and most comfortable shoe by far. Way better then those cloud shoes people always talk about. Down side is the sole is so soft for comfort the tread doesn’t last to long. Thanks for watching

@FAB Automotive Detailing you're just the guy I need. Installing a coating on shop/garage floor Tuesday. I don't want to scratch the coating. The floor jack I have from Harbor freight is 3 or 4 ton. All steel including the wheels. Very heavy. When I move it around now, it scratches the epoxy flooring I have now. Does any manufacturer make a floor jack without steel wheels? I was thinking buying a 2 ton jack made of aluminum and just pick it up and move it. Lots lots lighter. Any suggestions? New floor is $$$$. No scratches!
