I've loved these sets my whole life. I've never had a complete one. I have bits and pieces. But I'm glad that you guys enjoy them. Maybe someday ill have one.

Both scales sell extremely well, so they aren't fighting to survive as some will lead you to believe. I prefer 1/500 scale as much as the next person prefers 1/400. There's no right or wrong. To each their own. I don't think it's a matter of right and wrong. Only you can determine which scale is right for you.

I've heard of you. I've been a member on Wings900 since 2008, so I use that site quite a bit. I have gripes with the site, and how it's being "fixed" up right now, but it's the only good site dedicated to diecast airliners. I use Wings900 and Herpa.de as my resources for seeing what is still being made. I hope you didn't think I was mad at you in my response. Take care, Paulo.

Of course I didn't think you were mad at me, I really like your reviews and besides you know what you are talking about, that's why I subscribed your Channel, cuz we are always learning,so keep doing so. The new website named HobbyDB is a real mess, and they know about it, I think the actual wings900 is just perfect for us. No, it didn't. I bought it brand new for around 120. I found my receipt of purchase. The retail price was about 120. Please, don't put false information in my comments section. The large airport set that is currently available costs around 299 to 399, not the one in my video. Your information is wrong. eBay prices don't really count, by the way. If you saw one of these for $440, then they're trying to rip off people.

You're welcome. Sorry that I can't give you more info. The thing about this hobby is that if you don't buy it when it comes out, then you'll never see it again. If you do find it, then that means you just got lucky. These sets used to be pretty easy to find, then they suddenly disappeared. If you check on Ebay, there is a seller by the name of Toylandbay, and they sell this set separately. That's where I got the spare blue buildings from.

You're not paying attention, or there's a language barrier here. What I mean is that HERPA DOES NOT MAKE THIS SET ANYMORE! That's what "you can't get this anymore" means. There's nothing misleading about that. This set hasn't been available from Herpa since they STOPPED MANUFACTURING it about 4 or 5 years ago. I clearly state in most of my videos that when they stop making planes and sets, you're going to have a difficult time finding them. Good luck finding one, you probably won't.

I prefer 1/500 because I can fit more of them on my shelves, and I like the challenge of trying to detail them as much as larger scale planes. It is possible to get as much detail put into them as 1/400, so when people say that 1/400 has more detail, well that's not true. It is possible. Plane selection varies between the scales. While I can get a full fleet of a particular airline in 1/400, I can't always do the same with 1/500.

1/500 has a better selection of buildings, GSE, and other stuff to make a nice airport. 1/400 doesn't have that. 1/500 has a better selection of Concordes and special liveries than 1/400. I really just chose 1/500 from the beginning because I didn't know the actual sizes of the planes, and kept collecting them. I got a 1/400 scale Lufthansa 747, and that helped me decide once and for all that I didn't want to collect planes that big. I also like that 1/500 comes out on a regular basis.

I haven’t watched my video in a while, but I think I said eBay. I know for a fact that’s where I got it. The only thing is you’re going to have to find it. They haven’t made this set in over 10 years, and I’ve not seen one for sale on eBay in about that long. I highly doubt you’ll find one, but keep checking eBay, or maybe go on Wings 900 and post that you’re searching for this set. Mine is somewhere in my storage room in a box. I haven’t had it set up in years. There is a seller on eBay who used 5o sell the blue buildings. I bought a set years ago, but I don’t know if they still have any left.

Hi, OK when you meant on that sense, then you're right, sorry, in regards to your comment about finding one I am not interested on this particular Set, I am a collector with more than 700 models all in 1/500, I also produce customized models, which make them unique, and make improvements when some model has a particular interest for us collectors in terms of engines and so on.So if you are looking for any particular model or would like to have a specific one, let me know and I can make one 4 u,

Nope. They do make 1/200 scale accessories, but even that's not very much. 1/500 has the best selection of airports and GSE available. Even a 1/400 scale collector who hates 1/500 will tell you that 1/500 is good because of the airport stuff.

Please watch the video for the answer to your question. I always include all information about availability. You won't find one of these anywhere unless someone wants to sell theirs on Ebay. You can ask someone on Wings900.com if anyone wants to sell theirs.

Clark McKee Good luck with that. This is about a 20 year old set, so finding it is next to impossible, especially for the unrealistic price you want to pay. Expect between 200 and 400 USD in the off chance you do find one. 60 bucks? That’s not gonna happen.

coolman9i6 I have no idea where to find this set nowadays. I bought it about 10 years ago when they were still available, and haven’t seen any since. I take that back, I did see one on eBay a few years ago, and they wanted about 400 USD for it. Toylandbay on eBay used to sell just the buildings, but I bought the set they had around 2009. This set is just about impossible to find, especially since it’s almost 15 or 20 years old. Newer stuff has come out since then. If you do find it, then expect to pay some ungodly price for the thing. Take care.

+Yanek Yainne No. They dont make this set anymore. I think I say that in the video. It was discontinued years ago. You'll have to check eBay often in order to MAYBE find it. Go research it on the Internet, please.

Is Herpa it's own company or Daron is the manufacture of herpa

Herpa is its own company, and they make everything branded with Herpa on the packages. Daron is sometimes printed on the boxes. To be honest, I think they're just a distributor of this stuff. I do have a Herpa Delta plane with "Daron" printed on the back. Maybe, it was a special edition made for them by Herpa. You see a lot of Daron Worldwide stuff on Amazon.
