Review: Hoka Skyward X

I love my Skyward X. I'm a relatively new runner, but have owned other shoes like Nimbus 26, Clifton 8, 1080v12, and Endorphin Speed 2, and compared the Skyward to other current market shoes, and the Skyward is easily my favorite. Tons of cushion, tons of power return, can be used for lots of different runs. Really, all you need is this shoe, and a race day shoe, but this could be a beginner race day shoe as well. Can't recommend it enough!

Hello😊 is hoka skyward x for outdoor Walking? is it shoes to wear all day?

Hey Dimawidad3533, It is a bit and quite rockered shoe and in my opnion it is a "run first" type of shoe and not a walking shoe. I would much rather have a bondi, a clifton or a mach to walk around in, depending on how soft you want the midsole to be. Lars

Sir, Could you please compare with Bondi 8? I am considering to buy the Skyward X not for running but for my injured foot, Bondi 8 is a good choice for foot injury, not sure with Skyward X. I had tried March X, it was not good for me. I am looking for some type similar as Bondi 8 for daily walking.

Hey Frank! Both the Mach X and the Skyward X has a carbon plate and I would probably use it more for running rather than walking. If you wnat something more similar to Bondi 8 you should probably look for a Clifton (a little bit softer), a normal Mach 6 (should be a bit more down to the ground, but still soft) and maybe a Speedgoat if you want a shoe for walking in the woods. I think they would be better and more similar in feel to the Bondi 8. Lars
